I went to chruch that beleives in casting demons out of people and they claim that secular music was of the devil,and i am so glad to know how ray is able to sum up all the amotions,and the thoguht of when i listen to doors song.They were about freedom.I love jim morrison more than life itself thansk to that crazy cult that ruin my belief in god.I am now angostic but i love jim morrison and the doors song really reflect my thoughts on life,and the ability to be my mown human being.
The Doors symbolize the freedom from religion, that you dont have to follow something but yourself. And that nothing else matters than love - Ray is right on it, man. you said not to generalize religion with misguided religious tyrants - and i agree - but religion is obsolete. We dont need gods or religions - when everyone realizes that - then maybe peace will come to earth.
I know what you mean - and of course man centered ideology has caused problems and millsions of deaths. All I meant was that a lot of people are bound to their religion in a negative way. Music can sometimes free you from those bounds - and let you loose yourself in the beautiful music of phycadelica!
I meant no offense, man - even though i don't believe in religion I fully respect those who do. Just don't tell me that religion not has caused suffering and pain - cause it has - longer than communism (which in fact is a great ideology, at least the original idea of it, by Marx - that we all are of the exactly same worth ;)
I disagree man - religions are something made up by humans to give us consolation in hard times - today we know better, and no gods control us. Most things can be explained with science. What controls us now is money ( sadly ).
