You are my go to person to learn new recipes! The potato wedges turned out delicious.
I’m happy to hear that! ❤️
They were AMAZING 😁
if you add some cornstarch to mixture theyre even crispier !
And if you make them in the air fryer or just set oven to broil them mf be crisp
Boiling with salt and baking soda instead of just sitting in ice water will break down the pectin in the potato which will actually allow it to crisp up in the oven
I JUST made these and they were DELICIOUS! The only differences from mine was different seasonings and after you flip the wedges, I baked them for 25 mins instead of 20. So delicious and crispy!
Going to try these. By the way I made her Apple pie an crust for my grandson 40 birthday today, great hit they loved it. Thank you Natasha
This is how my dear Mum made her chips always. She cut washed and dried them thoroughly in a clean tea towel before shallow frying in dripping. Served with fish and salad. So beautiful.
Thanks for showing this tip! Will try eventually 😊

Why didn’t you boil them?
@@charliebale1210 If she boiled them then 1- They wouldn't be crispy. 2- They wouldn't have the nice crusty coating. 3- They would taste like mashed potatoes... Duh..
@@IWantToSmashLiberalsWithHammer yEah. DUUH!
Perfect potato wedges! Definitely making this! Thank you 😆!
I think it looks amazing but since you’re baking at 450 shouldn’t it be lite olive oil?
Simple perfection! You inspire me to hang in the kitchen all the time. I've made dozens of your recipes, you never disappoint. My friends think I'm the best cook, and it's you !! 😁
That’s great! Keep it up and I hope all the recipes that you will try will be successful.
But you are the one that cook the food. So, you deserve some credit too. Some people can't even follow a recipe well.

Ooo yummy! Very nice recipi Natasha! I try to make them! Have a nice day and good weekend! Have a good month! 👍👏🍴
I really don’t see any evidence of crispness. Am I missing something ??
She's lying. Why do you think she obscured the noise when she's chewing on the wedges?
You'll never get potato wedges crispy like normal fries, even in hot oil
Par boil first then season and bake
Tony you're trying too hard to find something wrong with her super crispy potato wedges! Not nice! 🤨
@@Ena48145 trust me this recipe and tricks yield the best eveeeeer crispy potato wedges
4 large potatoes cut into equal-sized wedges
Boil potatoes for 6 minutes in the following mixture after washing well trying to remove some of the potato starch
For the boiling water you’ll need
6 cups water
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda”enhances the crunchiness”
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 spring thyme or rosemary
1 whole garlic clove
After boiling for 6 minutes let potatoes cool down completely and dry them with paper towels as we don’t need any moisture
then transfer to a big bowl and add
A splash of olive oil or “melted ghee for a better crisp”just enough to coat the wedges”don’t add too much oil or the spices and semolina will not stick”
Then add
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with your fav spice blend” I use smoked paprika, onion salt, garlic powder, chili powder & a pinch of dried thyme” and after coating well
Then finallly add 1 tablespoon semolina making sure you add it gradually so it sticks to the potatoes but don’t keep at the bottom of the bowl..and if needed add a splash of oil or ghee again just to help semolina stick”don’t add too much semolina as we don’t want it to form a thick layer over our potatoes
Let it sit for a while till you melt 3 tablespoons ghee in a baking tray for 15 mins in a 400F preheated oven
The ghee or oil should be hot when you transfer your potato wedges to the tray”this makes them crispier”
Make sure not to overcrowd the tray and bake for 30 min then flip over and bake for 20 and you’ll be left with the best potato wedges ever!!
You know you're probably saving time and mess by doing it that way as opposed to frying it the old-fashioned way. Plus, it's also probably healthier for you. By the way, that short video was really well produced even with the boo boo. Love your program and love your blog. Have a blessed day.

Do you have any cheesecake recipes? Or 3 milk cakes 🎂?
MY husband used to make these & he did as you said, however, I have no dentures for my mouth, so somewhat soggy is easier for me to eat!
It's all good Sweetheart. Just do the recipe and take them out sooner. ( My mother eats potato chips like there's no tomorrow. And she just turned 85)
These.look.Delicious! 😋

YUMMY LOOKS DELICIOUS.
I just love this recipe. My potatoes turned out really crispy 😊🔥🔥🔥
Glad you like them!
You always have killer recipes. Thank you!!
Thank you, I appreciate it. ❤️
Yes! This is what I do!!❤️❤️
The ice water AND drying is the key!!
That’s right!
What if you dont dry them? I let em sit in water for about an hour then drained the water but transfered them to a gallon ziplock an poured in the oil an season and mixed up that way but the wedges were still wet why does that matter??
Mmmmmm "potatoes" 🤤🤪 Thanks Natasha 😊 your the Best
If you rinse the freshly cut wedges in cold water then par boil for 2 mins, plunge into cold water immediately after, then follow the instructions for drying and cooking as you've said, you can eliminate the 30 mins ice water wait. 😉
Thanks for the suggestion
So good!! Will it work with sweet potatoes? ❤️❤️
You are the best!!!!! Never get tired watching ur videos 🎉
Thank you
The olive oil is the part that is total genius!

Just tried, these are so good. Definitely the 30 min ice soak 👍
Nice! Thanks for the good feedback.
Thanks for leaving in that potato drop, made the video authentic.
Tasty! Great snack.
Thank you 😋
Don't add the salt until the end! Salt draws out moisture, giving you soggy potatoes. This goes with all potatoes when baking them, salt once they're done
True or false?
True
True. But don’t bake them, Fry them!!
False I bake mine with salt and other seasonings and they're NEVER soggy they're crispy
I’ve made these and I use them in my breakfast tacos. Amazing
Glad you like them!
Salad spinner to dry off rinsed potatoes. Magic. Convection bake. Double magic. Tossed with olive oil, salt, seasoning, and almond flour. Triple magic. Mmm... Potatoes... 🤤
Wow … I gotta try those…
I hope you do! They are so yummy. Let us know what you think.
Oh my! I am making these tonight! 😁

Another success story ! Thank you so much 👍👍🇬🇧
You are so welcome David 🥰
Yum
Super I appreciate ur idea i love low calories food because its very good using less oil decrease ur obisety instead of frying in oil
That's how I do mine... even the seasonings the same EXCEPT - I mix oil n seasoning together, then put em on pot.
Looks delicious, would it be possible to scrub the skin??
Hi! I believe you could but I have not done this to advise what the best way would be.
Yummy 😋
The Perfect Potato
Yumm, one of my favorite go to foods! If you want a really crispy potato, my new go too recipe is basically cut potatoes into wedges, season with whatever seasonings you prefer, sprinkle a little bit of corn startch all over the potatoes, mix well so every potatoe is coated with seasonings and corn starch, then coat with olive oil, mix again and place on wire rack and air fry for about 30 minutes on 400°. Seriously so delicious! No flipping needed, perfect and crispy every time! Fail proof recipe!!! Sometimes, instead of olive oil, I will wrap my potatoe wedges with bacon strips and this also is such a delicious way to make potatoe wedges in the air fryer. Sweet potatoe wedges are also delicious in the air fryer. Hope you give these a try. The air fryer is my new best friend! Hope to see more air fryer recipes in the near future on your channel. 😋🥰🤗
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for teaching me Natasha and I love you my sweet friend 💞🌹
You are so welcome
@@Natashaskitchen Natasha please keep me in your prayers because everytime I cook something I end up getting a burn and if you do make a cook book, would you sign mine?
No way! My Grammy and I just watched your sourdough tutorial two days ago and now I just came across you today! The bread turned out great, thanks.
You’re welcome!
I have my headphones in and your "szzzzz's" are brutal, cool recipe

She reminds me of the lady from how I met your mother in the best way
This definitely didn’t look crispy.
