I feel so bad for ryan. I'm only half way through the video, but he's being super careful with his answers and putting himself down. Its totally ok to have boundaries and preferences when you're respectful of those who aren't your preference. And while alpha male is cringe, his view of what that means is valid.

Jake’s point on men being attracted to ‘alpha males’ is so true. Masculinity is such a men drive concept because men are so attracted to it. Muscular men get their majority of compliments by other men, ‘alpha male’ celebrities are only really followed by other ‘alpha males’. women are attracted to femininity because it implies depth in character and vulnerability.

Men aren't attracted to alpha males, they're attracted to the idea of being an alpha male, in the same way masculine men are enticed by becoming more masculine. They are followed by mostly other dudes cause those dudes want to be in the "alpha's" shoes. And you and your friends might like feminine dudes, but I bet the majority of women would prefer a masculine dude. On the money issue, I'm definitely with David. Also grew up incredibly poor, went to bed hungry (not by choice) kinda poor. So having money would've helped.
Agreed. I found it frustrating actually, majority of people are actually on the poverty line nowadays. Money brings security, food housing. Definitely helps with happiness

I’d find it fascinating to see how we modern humans would go if all of a sudden money became obsolete and we were forced to create meaning and happiness on our own volition.

I loved Jake’s answer about money. Money is often seen as success, but everyone’s success is different. Some people just value happiness in a job, and they see that as success. Who cares how much money that gets you if in the end you’re happy (to an extent)?
i definitely agree with david on the money question. I’m hispanic and grew up “poor”, im still not financially stable, and still living with my mom(i am only 21 but still) i see her struggle every single day. it’s hard. im currently dealing with health issues and money would help those. it would help find and be able to afford the best physicians and therapists. idk money doesnt necessarily buy happiness but man it can solve so much. money could bring financial peace for myself and my family, and that for me is a HUGE part of happiness.

In order to have happiness to us those stresses have to be fixed or gone. And In order to be gone I need the money. So basically money would be a huge push towards my happiness. I'm with David on the money thing. A huge percentage of people struggle to pay their monthly bills. I was one of them. As soon as I crossed the line of being able to work a respectable job and maintain a modest, independent living situation, I was unquestionably happier. I am slightly happier the more money I make because it allows me to do more varied things in my life that I could never do before.
If you have never struggled financially, you will not understand how money brings a great deal of happiness. Facts.

Loved Jake’s answer for the size question. Circumcision is not natural and the whole “it protects against infections” is a lie. It’s very traumatic for babies to go through that.

Realllllyyyy loved Kevins take on money not buying happiness. Honestly made me think about the subject in a different aspect and i can agree with him 100%. Money doesn’t buy happiness, even if maybe the items you buy with it brings you happiness. Happiness is temporary and circumstantial.

i love these videos! I will say, Jakes argument for money bringing happiness was the only one that wasn’t frustrating to listen to as a low wage working class person. In our society, we need money for most levels of happiness. Financial stability is really important

I completely agree with David about money bringing happiness. Having no money is SO stressful so in reality, it does bring happiness. It doesn’t mean that evey=ryhting thing is shitty but I know damn well if I wasn’t stressed out every month about my bills getting paid I would be less stressed, less irritable, and less bitchy. I’m not saying that having money would solve ALL of my issues but I know I would be a much happier person if I had more.

I think the comments to these videos highlight the point that it is best not to try to appeal to masses... but instead be yourself to better attract the person who most sees the world in a similar way you do. The strongest favorable reactions are for the individuals who weren't afraid to voice unique stances - no matter how unpopular/popular they were.

Ryan!!! Don't feel bad! You are totally entitled to have preferences, "insecurities," whatever you wanna call it. Kind of makes me feel bad that people would even have anything bad to say about you for having that view on it. It's a lifestyle choice like any other, and you're allowed to entertain it or not. To me, it's the same as not wanting to date someone who smokes or does drugs or travels for work, causing a long distance situation; these are all factors that should be considered and agreed upon in a relationship, including sex work/occupations in general.

David makes sense to me in the money question I think the same way that happiness isn’t defined as one form of happiness but as different types of happiness. I can be happy with family, friends and financial stability, but if I’m sad about not having a partner it won’t mean my whole life is unhappy I’m just sad about that specific part of my life. Just like how you can have the best friends, family, & relationship but not financially stable, those happy relationships with ppl won’t stop the sadness you have & the stress you have from not being financially stable. They are seeing the question as “can money make everything okay” instead of the literal “does money bring you happiness” cuz money does make ppl happy in aspects where money is needed.
