Doug, Frequently the chauffer's compartment was fitted with a dark leather. The passenger's compartment of a bespoke limousine were sometimes fitted with brocaded fabrics that would show even the slightest soil. The other reason is that it improves the visibility from the passengers compartment when the divider is open or just the glass is up.
You could’ve said „from 1989“ and nobody would’ve noticed
Yeah exactly, from side it looked like any other Bentley from 80s!

I suspect the car has had at least a couple owners over the course of 20 years, and it wasn't the first owner who put those cupholders in. It is not "Mercedes 600 Grosser". That makes no sense. It is simply "Mercedes 600". However, it was nicknamed "Großer Mercedes" by the press, what simply means "Big Mercedes", but that has never been any official moniker, even less so with only the word "Grosser" that isn't even spelled right nor exists like that, because it is a grammatical variant that always needs to come with a noun.

Doug, the type of guy who thinks a miniature vase is a champagne flute.
The fact this is from 99’ is sort of mind blowing to me since it has the style of something that looks like it was built 89’ just my opinion
Andre Di Stefano I thought the exact same. I mean a lot of 90s cars aged horribly but this looks ancient
Bentley and Rolls have always been VERY reluctant to update their styling. The previous generation from this car was around since like the fifties.
The sinner Jim Whitney They made the early 70's design all the way up until the late 90's. Google "1995 Rolls Corniche", it's absolutely awful
Pentium III Yeah, they really were pretty unchanged for like 30 years every time a new generation came around. I think they started updating a little more frequently once they became part of the VW bunch.
I think this body style came out in 1980.

The only Bentley Limousine built by Bentley and Doug only gave 6 for “cool”?!?!?
Doug gets -10000 for cool
I agree, it should of got a 10, I've never seen a Bentley (or Rolls Royce) factory made limo.
Thing is, nobody looking at it on the street will realize this. To most people, it’s just an older car. To those who know, it’s a Bentley, but those who know, it’s also not cool because it’s old and depreciated as fuck.
Most people also aren’t good at spotting the details between a factory and aftermarket limo, not in the least because it’s mostly on the interior. Doug only knows because he’s seen and researched the VIN. When even enthusiasts need to delve a bit to realize what this car is, that’s not exactly saying much for how head-turning it is (which is what cool factor gauges).
It’s hard to give it any higher rating when the pinnacle of his rating system contains the best Hypercars in the world. It only makes sense. 6 is generous.
@@nero786 This is more unique than almost all of those hypercars and arguably just as cool, just in a different way.
