great video! i have a question, how private is the family sharing option really? all it says on settings is that data is stored separately for each member, but i’d like to know how true this is.
can you view or do anything at all with another member’s data? (backups, notes, texts, or camera roll library stream uploaded on icloud, etc.?). or can you literally just see it as a colored block weighing xyz gb and do absolutely nothing with it? (same question applies to configuring a new iphone with a backup stored in a family-shared icloud account.
is it a safe claim that you can only access your data and the only thing that changes is that you’re all storing it in the same icloud subscription but still JUST AS private as storing it individually in your own icloud subscription?
i recently upgraded my 200 gb subscription to the next one, but 2 tb is a lot of storage just for my iphone’s data so i was thinking about splitting the costs with a family member - but we’re both VERY private with our data. should we go for it?

I am in a family group (managed by my brother in law)....all members have plenty of their own storage......but I just want to share my 200GB with my wife.....Can I make a new family group?...Or can I just specify my wife to share with?.....(it seems to want to share with everyone).....thanks
When I do this and get to subscriptions it shows that iCloud plus shared by my (adult) daughter (who has a 200 GB plan, which is full, that I guess she tried to share with me at some point); I don't use her shared plan since I have a 2TB plan (via AppleONE) but I would like to share my 2TB plan with her (she is in my family plan). When I click on Use Family Plan it wants to change me to her 200 GB plan and not the other way around. Does she need to remove me from her family plan before she can see and accept my 2TB family plan? Is she at risk to loose what is in her 200GB iCloud storage if she moves to using my 2TB plan? (And weirdly under iCloud+ -Manage your plan- toward the bottom of the screen it show 5GB even though at the top of the page the usage bar shows the 2 TB from my AppleONE subscription... ) Do I need to go to an Apple store to try to straighten all this out?
