I'm Punjabi Sikh from the UK and really don't know much about South Asian politics neither am I interested, but every single Pakistani I know supports Imran Khan. They say he was bringing stability to the country.

Pakistani and afghans unite over khan’s leadership. Give that region a chance for peace. Keep it out of wars.

Seriously, what good did he do? Pakistan’s economic situation is as bad as it ever was. His tenure was marked by IMF negotiations for a measly 3 Billion USD. No economic reforms took place. No infra improvements. No strategic improvements in country’s position. He didn’t move his country’s policy of “we are close to Afghanistan and u need us” - in other words, nothing beyond hoping for a conflict.

I am just your average Irish catholic American. I live in wonderful blessed freedom. I have so much respect for people like Iran khan, Benezir Bhutto, the Ghandis. Edit to add Nelson Mandela. What courage they have to make their people free, which results in education for the people, and that truly sets them free. keeping people in ignorance has always been a tactic for control.

Please don't include Benazir Bhutto in the list of people you mentioned. Benazir too looted the country like everyone else; her husband (Zardari) is still known in Pakistan as Mr. 10% because of the 10% tax/profit that he would collect on every deal Benazir made with another country or business entity. while she was the Prime Minister of the country. The Bhuttos, the Sharif brothers, the Pakistani military, and the judiciary ...they all have been looting Pakistan for decades. Imran Khan is the very first decent honest loyal and true leader Pakistanis have seen since their independence.
