The Tree

Joyce Kilmer's classic poem "Trees" served as the inspiration for my poem, and my multi-talented daughter, Julia, composed the music and combined her vocals, instrumentation and graphics into an iMovie to help visualize what really transpired on "The Tree." May this "poem," this portrait of "The Tree" as a personification of the Cross of Christ, give us a deeper appreciation of the extreme price our great Creator paid to become our Savior.
My daughter, Julia, a gifted singer and songwriter, has her own UA-cam channel, Dawns Harvest, featuring many of her excellent compositions. Songs such as, Where Angels Tread, First Day of the Rest of Your Life, Let the Healing Begin, Recipe for a Good Day, Autumn Day, Winter Wonderland, Heavenly and many others are sure to brighten your day.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:38-39).

Thank you so much! I definitely feel the Lord inspired me to use Kilmer's imagery from "Trees" as the words just seemed to flow through me.
