My cat, Jasper, almost took down my 55" flat screen watching this video. He's gone behind the screen, out into the hall, keeps whipping his head around and now he's on his hind legs watching and making a scary sound. This video has him in an altered state! Subscribed! P.S. what was the pretty bird with the polka dots?
Thanks for your wonderful comments and subscribing, Alisa! Wow! I loved your description of Jasper's reaction. If you could capture that on video it would go viral. I would love to see it. I have two better bird frenzy vids I would recommend for Jasper, if you dare. "Winter Birds' Feeding Frenzy (Cats LOVE It!)" and also "Spring Birds' Feeding Frenzy." The bird with the black polka dots was the Northern Flicker.
creatorwise thank you for naming the bird. I have never shot a video before but I will try to catch him. I would like other cat owners to help me identify his bizarre "machine gun" like giggling/cackling that he does when he sees this birds! He's never made this sound before it's WEIRD.
Thank you for your very kind comment! Glad you loved the video and honored to have you watching! I think you would enjoy my vid of an American Robin eating grape jelly from my oriole feeder!? ua-cam.com/video/Q2EtKvVzR6c/v-deo.html It sure did surprise me.
Thanks for your kind comment, so glad you love the birds. The seed in the mesh sock is nyjer (thistle) seed. Goldfinches and house finches really love it. You can buy the sock in most bird food stores. Thanks again for stopping by.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm so blessed to have such a large variety in my backyard, and the baltimore orioles and rose-breasted grosbeaks haven't even arrived yet. I notice you have to work a little harder and travel some for your fine uploads. They're well worth it tho. Keep up the great work!
Hi 😊! The black woodpecker looks like a cross between Heckle & Jeckle and a skunk, so I'll name him Stinky 😄. Everyone scrammed when the new kid in town showed up. He must have quite the reputation! Did you find out what it is? I don't believe I've ever seen. One awesome sight I have seen in my yard some years ago, was a pair of Cedar Waxwings up in my tree. I thought I died and went to heaven. What a Beautiful sight to see!! I think they took a detour, but happy they did! Never have seen them since. I'm in IL suburb.
I love your description of the giant woodpecker! Lol. It is the pileated woodpecker and I see it quite often. I have several vids of it. For a collage of his appearances click ua-cam.com/video/0vbNoUux3kc/v-deo.html And fasten your seatbelt at 1:05. It looks like a prehistoric flying reptile. I won't be trying to hand-feed it. Can't get close anyway. I have only seen one Cedar Waxwing, and it was on my birdbath. You are so right, that is one beautiful bird!!! Thank you so much for your frequent comments, Gina. Making my day! I'm right next door in south central Indiana.
Yes, Here in southern Indiana they usually arrive around April 18-20. And rose-breasted grosbeaks about the same time. Would have loved to have had both in this vid.
Suet Plus by St. Albans Bay. They make several blends. I've use Woodpecker blend, Peanuts, and Sunflower Seed. Birds love them. Rural King store carry them.
Squirrels don't bother my suet, fortunately. They do like the sunflower seeds, and I knock on the patio door or open it and yell at them to scare them off. Lol. I don't mind them foraging on the ground, but when they climb up on the feeders I loudly object. Good luck, Karen, and thanks for watching. 😊
Wow, all five woodpeckers! You lucky devil! How did you get your end screen tags blink on and off like that at the end? I'll have to see if I can do that. Thanks again!
Hello! Just found your channel, I love it! I've ben birding for little over a year now, and I'm so glad I started. If I may ask, what kind of suet do you use? What are the ingredients?
Thanks for the kind comment, Corrina. I use Suet Plus by St. Albans Bay. The three blends I like best are Woodpecker Blend, Sunflower Seed Blend, and Peanut Blend. If you have a Rural King store in your area, they are very economical, less than $1
Something is not wright, this is a amazing video, quite good quality and have only 136 views, but there are shit videos on youtube with millons views, I cant understand people, I gave you my suscription to your channel and like your videos to help you, you continue filming this wonderful birds. Thank you
You're most welcome and Thank you for your awesome comment! Don't know how I missed this when you first posted. You really made my day! Thanks also for subscribing!
Nice seeing the flicker at your suet, I've seen them in the yard, but never at the feeders, had one land on a feeder pole, look around and fly off. Do you have many house finches? We are over run with them this year, They eat everything and are such bullies. You put out great videos. Do you use the birdcam?
For years I only saw flickers on the ground, but recently they surprised me by feeding on the suet! I actually took down my sunflower seed feeders and nyjer seed feeders the last two summers because house finches and sparrows overran them, crowding out all the other birds. I plan to put them back up when the weather turns cold. Thanks for the kind comments. I have a cheap little Flipcam made by Cisco. They stopped making them around 2012, but you can still find them on Amazon and Ebay.

My cats name is jasper
Very nice, Gotta love Woodpeckers.
8:00 Wow. I watch a lot of bird videos but this is the first one I've seen with an American Robin at a feeder! Great video. Love all the woodpeckers.

omg I just realized that your long bird feeder is a stocking with bird food in it. How clever. I love the different birds.
Thanks for your kind comment, so glad you love the birds. The seed in the mesh sock is nyjer (thistle) seed. Goldfinches and house finches really love it. You can buy the sock in most bird food stores. Thanks again for stopping by.
Beautiful video! Nice to see all the wonderful birds you get there!

Thank you very much for the kind words! Yeah, I don't get too much of interest in my backyard, but I do love to travel!
Birding is addictive. Lol I’m just getting into it and love it
So true! Your are in for a real treat. You will have birds show up that you didn't realize were even in your area!
creatorwise you got that right. I had never noticed the Nuthatches or Chickadees or Woodpeckers until I hung the feeders
The goldfinches are so cute
Thanks. Yes, they are gorgeous, and thanks for watching!
@@creatorwise American Goldfinches are also known as the "Potato Chip Bird" because of it's unique call which sounds like "Potato Chip".
@@spartan7911 Thanks for that info! I am going to be listening more closely!
Like the common grackle and the two pileateds
Nice vids...thanks. Nice to see the pileated woodpecker...those are tough to get to come to a feeder
You're welcome and thank you. I'm seeing the pileateds quite often currently, and I still get excited and can't take my eyes off of them.
And the northern flicker
Yes, Sarah, they are beautiful birds and quite unique. Thanks for stopping by.
Excellent. Sweet Pea gave this a paws up
Thanks to both you and Sweet Pea! I give Sweet Pea two arms up \o/
Woodpecker crashes part at 2:05

I don't see his/her kind over here!
@@ginafriend1690 I will tell them to fly west to Illinois. Until they get there, I will gladly share mine with you!
@@creatorwise You can keep. I'm happy to oblige, Ron! I'll just "give a little whistle" .. from here to there! 😉😊🎶
@@ginafriend1690 OK, I will keep them, but give them your message about "Knock, knock, knock on the door to heaven!"
That suet feeders booming!
Yep, all the woodpeckers especially love it, but I notice a lot of other birds have acquired a taste for it also. Thanks for stopping by.
@@creatorwise Grackles love them too
@@spartan7911 Yep, they have been feeding heavily in recent days!
Plz post more I watch u everyday
Thanks so much for watching often and for the very kind comment. So glad you enjoy them.
I greased my pole with Vaseline and that kept the squirrels off as long as it was fresh and soft
Thanks for watching and for the good advice.
Still early to have an oriole feeder up I would imagine.

, what's the panty hose feeder thing. did you create that and what bird seed is in it?
It's a mesh sock containing nyjer (thistle seed). Gold finches and house finches love it.
