That game cart is a game changer for Road side logging! Nice oak tree! I think that video calls for 2-3 miller lites for rehydration. Great Job Scheib on the awesome work!
I got that same trailer an love it. Pull one ramp out an roll those big basters up in the trailer. Instead of busting your back. That was making my back hurt just watching you lol.
The cart is a HUGE improvement. A ramp is next... 😁 I use a dolly, so I don't even have to lift them Basters into a cart, or in my case it would be the wheel barrow. I do drag the logs on to the road before cutting, which allows the small wheels of the dolly to work. It is all about assessing what is best for the situation.
What a gold mine! I’m 61 now and can’t work like you anymore but l like to watch your videos before l head out to cut wood it motivates me, keep kicking ass brother👍
A winch I feel would be a helpful tool. Cut a few 10 feet long or so and winch them close then buck them up. But hey I can watch stuff like this all day thanks.
Nice haul! Scheib on my F150 Crewcab I use a cheap Harbor Freight winch hook up to the bed tie down to pull any big rounds to the truck with a car ramp to get them up the tailgate. For the smaller logs I roll them up the ramp. It’s saves my back. FYI I use a 20 volt adapter from Amazon to power up the winch with any of my Dewalt batteries. With that setup the winch becomes portable. I used it to pull logs out of the woods by attaching the winch to any tree as well.
Dam my back hurts just watching you load those. Well and i just finished doing the same. Loading rounds into the truck. Hood to see others with a good work ethic. Well done sr.
Hey brother, mighty fine look’n material you scored here. Looks like your gas operated metal detector was rip’n right along! I love all of the suggestions and recommendations on saving your back... That’s a big part of the Scheib Show💪🏼😎 Keep up the great work! Bless’ns to ya, Tedd
That looked like a nice load of wood, i have a 362 but that 500i realy rips through the wood l went out and bought a second 500i that way i give one a break while i cut with the second one, keep on cutting, realy enjoy
Hey Scheib, look into one of those winch cranes that mount in the back of pickups. Maybe you could mount one on the trailer with a log hook on it to hoist those big rounds up and in.👍🏻
Good deal bro, you got an ass ton of nice stuff there. Straddling that log was almost bad for the nads, I cringed. Keep up the good work, cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I was just cutting some red oak knocked down by an EF4 tornado. The tree was massive, probably 150 years old. To feel the weight of that giant tree and look at how a tornado ripped it in half was dang spooky to think about.
Gotta love the roadside logging. That definitely is some real work. I have done a lot, but probably not as much as you. Just got 3 truckloads of red oak last weekend. Nice stuff.
that was close to getting u gotta love that or when bucking up smaller diameter logs as cutting and saw flings a piece off shins good times gotta love free firewood minus the labor and beer tax
Hey Scheib, my back hurts from watching you lift them rounds into the truck. I just googled some portable conveyors that could help to get the wood to your truck at least. Maybe a winch too?
Happy Veterans Day Scheib. Keep up the good work! If you do end up getting a wheelbarrow- Joe from OWB always recommends the A.M. Leonard wheelbarrow. He said they are the best built wheelbarrows.
It would benefit you to invest in a winch. You could drag larger sections of logs to the trailer instead of all those bucked pieces. If you put your fab skills to work you could incorporate the winch with a hoist so you could load with it too. I made one years ago for loading large logs into the UTV, it's worth it to your back to build it Sheib.
Have you ever thought of getting a lift system to get the large logs into the trailer? I’m 62 and used to cut and split log length wood for my wood furnace. You are in great shape but when you get too tired you can easily tear your shoulder. I know, I did this to both of mine so you need to be careful.
Nice looking oak! Great score but certainly a lot of work getting it loaded. Your game cart is a good idea. Cutting the trips down makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the video.
Hi Scheib. Great idea w/ the game cart. Have you looked at the harbor freight at winches. You could rig a way to attach it to your trailer to winch the logs closer to the trailer to buck them up. Keep up the great work and hopefully you won’t have too many close calls like that one in this video.
Man, I was loading some oak rounds into my F250 last week on the downhill side and I thought I was going to die getting them up to the truck bed. I managed to get 8 loaded but there has to be a better way. I did use one as a "stepping stone" so I didnt have to muscle it up the whole way but still it was a bear. Good work, you are really getting after it!
Definitely need a winch on your truck. Cut off all the branches and drag the main stem right up to the truck. I get tired just watching you carrying those😂😂
It may be worthwhile to rig up an improvised travois (litter) from a couple of poles fixed to a sturdy tarp and a sling you can pull from around your shoulders to drag those rounds three or four at a time over the land back to your trailer. Your spine is still young but it takes a toll to bend and lift. Just roll a few on the tarp and you only need to lift each one once onto the trailer. NVM. I see that I'm late to the party with my suggestion.👍
Take it from a 52 yr old farmer, you may not feel it now but when you hit 45-50 your back is gonna be so pissed at you. Noodle those big ones. It looked like you could back the trailer into where those oak beauties were?
I think it might be a good idea to put that last row on end. That would prevent most of that load from rolling against your tailgate while you drive. Why go to the gym when you can have your workout with your hobby/side hustle. lol.
Would some sort of capstan winch work for this roadside logging to bring the sticks/logs closer to the trailer and not have to lug the rounds out by other means?
so, i'm new to your channel and really enjoy the videos I've seen. thought the one on your roadside stand was really informative. i have a question about your roadside logging....do you get permission from a land owner to cut the blowdowns or do you just see them and stop and process them. folks down here in southern Maryland are a little "protective". just curious as to if there has ever been a problem. using the cart was a great idea. those last couple of rounds were pretty hefty. it was a great score.
In Maryland there is liability risk for the property owner even if permission is given. The Woodhound could claim for example that the property owner never warned them about the (insert woods hazard here) located around the area of the tree. Sucks that it's like that but it is and no one wants to get taken to the cleaners when youve worked your whole life for what you have.
Ok the game cart is an awesome idea - I should have already thought of that.
You the man I know you no what you are doing 😊!!++😊
Thumbs up to keep your nuts safe lol
That game cart is a game changer for Road side logging! Nice oak tree! I think that video calls for 2-3 miller lites for rehydration. Great Job Scheib on the awesome work!
Good job. My hubby is 76 and still cuts wood for our Buck stove. I help him stack it after it's split.
Talk about spliting the uprights.
Yep it was close
Nice looking cuts of Red Oak for splitting stacking for your next inventory,
I got that same trailer an love it. Pull one ramp out an roll those big basters up in the trailer. Instead of busting your back. That was making my back hurt just watching you lol.

I have the same cart. I haven't had time to even get my hunting license yet so I figured I'd put it to use carting firewood with it, worked ok.
What a gold mine! I’m 61 now and can’t work like you anymore but l like to watch your videos before l head out to cut wood it motivates me, keep kicking ass brother👍
Nice load .even the tops look like a lot of wood !!!!
You said your ash was dragging 🤣 Now I see why! Good haul Scheib! 👊🏻🍻🇺🇸
Hi Scheib I think you got your workout today for sure.
Them family jewels were sweating it !!! That game cart is a great idea , nice haul !!!
Nice job, I think you should grab a smoke and a Miller light after your hard work. Love your videos bro
That was some nice wood, sitting nice, dry and seasoned. Good cutting. Good to go
A winch I feel would be a helpful tool. Cut a few 10 feet long or so and winch them close then buck them up. But hey I can watch stuff like this all day thanks.
Bro, you're using that Hawk Prowler deer cart! Nice job 👊🤘🍻
You got some really nice firewood there
Almost got yah in the twig and giggle berry's 🤣
Nice work out. Who needs a gym. Never have, never will. Roadside loggin' baby!!!!
Them rounds sure will make some nice firewood! Great job Scheib 👍🍻🤘
Nice haul. My wife would be responsible for rolling them to the trailer. :)

Game cart works good but still a respectable work out!! Good job!!
Straddle log was a whole different kind of "kickback".
Great looking oak and the price is right! The game cart is a really good idea.
Dam my back hurts just watching you load those. Well and i just finished doing the same. Loading rounds into the truck. Hood to see others with a good work ethic. Well done sr.
I would never want to meet you in a dark Allie way your one tough man
What a great idea! You are a head worker.
Hey brother, mighty fine look’n material you scored here. Looks like your gas operated metal detector was rip’n right along! I love all of the suggestions and recommendations on saving your back... That’s a big part of the Scheib Show💪🏼😎
Keep up the great work! Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

Great idea to bring the cart with you this time! You're getting lots of great wood along the road side.
You really earned that load. Good looking wood
Great roadside logging!! Glad you had your deer cart!!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Good thing you ate your Wheaties this morning schibe 🤘🏽💪🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸 now time to hydrate 🍺
Nice job with the deer cart. Next innovation is a ramp. Get a couple of 2x10x10' and a top ramp kit and you be saving your back for years to come.
Hey Scheib, look into one of those winch cranes that mount in the back of pickups. Maybe you could mount one on the trailer with a log hook on it to hoist those big rounds up and in.👍🏻
You sir are a wood cutting, hauling beast.
Very nice firewood
Good deal bro, you got an ass ton of nice stuff there. Straddling that log was almost bad for the nads, I cringed. Keep up the good work, cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Dude. Impressive!
Get a lewis winch and skid the logs right by your trailer or close to it, the winch is a chainsaw winch right up your alley. Haha😄
Nice haul 👌 bloody hard work
Is that red oak? If so, that’s heavy as hell. Good work man.
Yes it is
I was just cutting some red oak knocked down by an EF4 tornado. The tree was massive, probably 150 years old. To feel the weight of that giant tree and look at how a tornado ripped it in half was dang spooky to think about.

My friend you'll have no problems sleeping tonight!!
That was a good day’s work Scheib. The deer hauler was a great idea. That’s some great looking wood you got there also. “Keep moving”! - Dick
So much quicker and easier when the logs off the ground, I usually have cheap labor loading while I'm cutting 😅
Hey Scheib, my back hurts from watching you lift them rounds into the truck. I just googled some portable conveyors that could help to get the wood to your truck at least. Maybe a winch too?
30 dollar dolly at Walmart Amazon for bigger taller tires I can usually move 3 90 pound pieces at once w higher ground clearance due to taller tires
Nice haul! Roadside wood is not easy to get but worth the effort.
You could use a gas powered logging winch. Cut them long and drag them closer to the trailer.
Brent
schieb dun got into sum fine wood
Happy Veterans Day Scheib.
Keep up the good work!
If you do end up getting a wheelbarrow- Joe from OWB always recommends the A.M. Leonard wheelbarrow. He said they are the best built wheelbarrows.
And USA made too..
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood you got that right!
Confusus says no straddle log when cutting rounds 😂😂😂🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Some nice looking wood there Scheib!
Nice haul sir. You should check out a battery powered wheelbarrow - just a thought - for hauling those rounds out of the woods. Stay safe.
county needs to put you on the payroll for roadside beautification aloha🌺🤙🌺
Now that’s a work out! Nice logs. Stay safe.

I'm going to go out on a limb.........and say a cup should be included with your protective gear.
Definitely need a winch on your truck. Cut off all the branches and drag the main stem right up to the truck. I get tired just watching you carrying those😂😂
We all like watching you play logger frogger... But where's all the traffic?
Good morning everyone
Great video, great editing
My back hurts just watching you..
That's how I get all my firewood
Thinking a ramp may be beneficial if you have access to a lot of roadside logging
The trailer has ramps underneath
Whoa that was a close one!! 😳

great work!!! love your videos, always interesting
LogOx is another great tool for carrying wood and takes a lot of pressure off your back
Right on
Wonder if some sort of zip line would work with a grabber once you got them closer
I used to go after dead and down oak with mushrooms like that all the time. You’re making me want to go after more of it 😂
Take it from a 52 yr old farmer, you may not feel it now but when you hit 45-50 your back is gonna be so pissed at you. Noodle those big ones. It looked like you could back the trailer into where those oak beauties were?
Good jop this was nice firewood you have this was really cool video love your video buddy 🪵🍺🍺
Interesting how the sawdust packs onto the round, off the bar, on the last 1/4 of the cut when you cut the elevated stem.
nice logs
Chaps would not have helped when that log flipped up between your legs.OUCH! On that first log you were cutting.
Yeah could have been a viral video 🤘🏻🤘🏻😂
09:12 - Now if you just had a couple a burly high school footballers (....and I ain't talkin' Euro soccer wimps.).
you are a pro, but you don't want to get too cocky. That straddle missed the boys by a hair.
Careful with the nutcrackers, Scheib! It'd be a shame, if you started talking like Michael Jackson...
I think it might be a good idea to put that last row on end. That would prevent most of that load from rolling against your tailgate while you drive. Why go to the gym when you can have your workout with your hobby/side hustle. lol.
What a load. How much wood do you think you have?
Not quite a cord
Put out a help wanted sign at the road and see if you get any helpers? You might get lucky, never can tell.
Might try pulling out logs down to the truck then buck them up. It will save you time
👍👍
Does the moss cost extra
Would some sort of capstan winch work for this roadside logging to bring the sticks/logs closer to the trailer and not have to lug the rounds out by other means?
I am looking for one at the moment

Where he gets that is owned by a water company and he has full permission to take any that are on the ground
@@brandonhoad9033 thanks for the additional info. thats a sweet deal.
👍👍👍 keren 👍👍
Very similar to the way I collect my free firewood. Awesome job . Respect from NZ.
That's how I get my wood
