I guess because it is supposed to be a funny scene the humour would be seriously diminished if the girl had no problem with cuddling close to you for warmth - the scene is definitely funniest with rise though, teddy and youskes dialogue is hilarious.
Yeah I'm pretty sure the scenes are all written as though you aren't romancing the girl at all as they are pretty shy and awkward with the main charcter like it is the first time they have been alone with him in a compromising situation
