MCX REGULATOR- Redefining the Ranch Rifle
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- Introducing the MCX-REGULATOR, using the heart and soul of the legendary MCX platform combined with a proprietary lower design, all built around shooter ergonomics, comes a whole new level of MCX modularity. Never before has a ranch rifle possessed the DNA of a rifle used by elite Special Forces operators around the world.
The MCX-REGULATOR is an aluminum frame rifle with a gas-piston operating system, a Magpul™ SGA style stock combined with a completely redesigned lower receiver compatible with all MCX upper receivers. It has a fully ambidextrous magazine release, safety selector, and bolt catch/bolt release. The MCX-Regulator ships with a two-stage adjustable match trigger, a cold hammer-forged carbon steel barrel, a SIG designed muzzle brake, and is available in 7.62x39 and 5.56 calibers. The MCX-REGULATOR has a built in Arca Rail for easy tripod mounting and ships with a 10-round magazine.
The MCX-REGULATOR is here and the ranch rifle is about to change forever.
This will probably be nice for the folks who live in “no pistol grip” zones, actually.
With no pistol grip also comes with no barrel so no not really
That’s really what it’s made for, they’re just not saying that.
Exactly. Mini-14s currently hold that spot in CT, MA, NY, NJ.
they more than likely already have something that fits that bill and won't cost them half as much as this.
@@ryanusa860 also fightlite, a few from keltech, foxtrot mike.
So, it's basically a "CA compliant" MCX?
i think of it as a much more expensive SCR
exactly lol fightlight scr lower with mcx upper = 1/2 the price
And NY and the rest of the country soon if blue stays in control
8 or so states this would be legal
Not legal in IL or WA currently unless they remove the threaded barrel and it still may not get past the ar-15 and all variants clauses
Wish they would have showed more of the product. People who live this life know what we do everyday.
It's called aspirational advertising. Sig is trying to sell the rifle to people who aspire to be like the people in the video. They also want to sell this rifle to the type of people depicted in the video as well, but that's secondary.
op doesn't even leave the house
@gaydolfshitler739 and they'll probably sell a million of them I've never seen a fightlight on the shelf ANYWHERE
They have a website
Have your ranches destroyed from climate change?
Priced somewhere around $2500-$4000 I bet. 😂
Came to say the same thing 😂
No doubt 😒
Probably closer to 4.
3500$ smh
Overpriced. Fightlite SCR is same shit . The foxtrot mike only takes bufferless uppers and the trigger is inverted
Bring back your SIG 556 SWAT again.
those things were overpriced and very poorly put together. most all of their American made rifles aren't too great.
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073 I bought mine as a SBR when they first came out, best rifle in my collection. I don't care for the new ones or their 320 pistol line.
You are wrong, my SWAT is among my favorites and never fails, ever.@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073
I want a 553 so bad.
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073yeah because a company that produces sub-par guns was somehow able to win contracts to build the next generation of Assault/Battle rifle, Light/squad machine gun and Handgun for the US military.
I remember when the SKS paratrooper with a 16" chopped barrel was called a cowboy gun and they were found in a trash can at gun stores marked $69.00. They were cheap, reliable, can't loose the magazine, thin, lightweight, steel and wood...and you could bang it around with no fear of breaking it. 30 caliber semiautomatic so it was faster to shoot than a 30-30 lever gun.
Oh btw....I like this regulator. Look like the guys at Sig have been peeking at the Fightlite SCR. Banned gun states will love it. I'd carry one just because it will piss off the tactical crowd.
As a Californian, I must say thank you for not giving up on us. I’m in for one.
Yeehaw! Me too. Thanks SIG.
What in tarnation?!?! 😅🤠
Looks more like a commie state compliance rifle. Practically downgrade in every aspect.
SIG has been playing that 'let our product define your ego' pretty hard lately, and I couldn't care less. 🙄
Is this rifle running for President? It’s like a political ad, all style and no substance.
Boy I really learned a lot about the rifle from this video.. I have no what it even is.
Pretty sure it's a rifle.
It's an MCX slammed onto a magpul stock for cuck states and they're trying to sell it as a real cowboy gun for cowboys to keep in their RAM Ranch pickup truck for $3000.
Sig has gone insane.

And 99.9% of the people who will buy this rifle, don’t work on a ranch. lol
Sig should have timed this to come out during Season 1 of Yellowstone
Sigs random SKU generator is at it again
I see it more as a modernized SKS.
Fully semiautomatic open bolt action with a 1776 bullet drum clip

Did you like those cowboys?😂. They should have used the sound track from BBM.
@@julian9898apparently you like those cowboys?😂. They should have used the sound track from BBM.
I think the MCX is a great rifle, but it’s a little pricey for a beataround ranch rifle when you can get a perfectly good rifle for less than half the price.
How much is it?
Well, based on what the other MCXs cost, it has to be at least $2,000. We’ll see, but I can’t believe it’s much less than that.
@@johnsodx Yikes, guess I'll just hold on to my Mini-14.

This felt more like a Dodge ad, or a Fudds wet dream.
It’s more lifestyle then showing the actual product.
its all crap marketing to make you forget they wont sell certain products to the public
Galee you ppl always complain about something 🙄
Looks like a Cali compliant/all 50 states legal model of the MCX. But want it to appeal to a more broad audience, so call it a ranch rifle. You tried
They get a Banana sticker.
lol. Holy try-hard Batman. Thank goodness they make commercials for people with zero imagination, I guess.
Offer it in 300 Blackout too
as it’s still a mcx you can swapp that barrel pretty easily. I‘m sure It’s going to be aviable in 300 Blackout.
Ronald get a .300 blackout upper and pair it with the fixed lower and get .300 blackout dedicated mags.
0:53 “IT WAS COMING RIGHT AT ME” 😂
Yeah, they should have had the scene be a farmer saving his chickens.
Kudos to Sig for coming out with probably the most elegant execution of the “rifle shaped AR” concept.
bruh. that guy who took the first shot in this video closed his eye...
this thing is begging for 300 blackout---way better farm/ranch cartridge then either offered
Instead of copying the FightLite SCR, Sig should stop making stuff nobody wants or can afford and start making the SG 550, 556 750 and 751 in the USA
yeah, but make them good this time! because all the American versions of those guns are trash.
You do understand the SIG that makes the SG series rifles is a completely different company, right? SIG Sauer, Inc. in New Hampshire is a different entity than SIG Sauer AG in Switzerland and they have nothing to do with each other. This is why when SIG Sauer GmbH in Germany shut down, the other two companies weren't affected because all 3 companies calling themselves SIG are totally independent corporations.
interesting idea guys. love it! keep up the good work. I love the modularity. It's a traditional rifle pattern lower for MCX uppers. Keep the modules coming. I hope you are still interested in making carbine kits for the p320 trigger assemblies.
minus the fact that it wasn't their idea. they just copied the fightlite SCR
Please tell me why I had to watch 60 seconds of a 90-second video of him on his property to FINALLY see the new ugly rifle. Wow, fire you AD company.
This is a great idea. Good for Sig. Until the supreme court starts taking up assault weapons ban this is the next best thing. Can't believe Ruger hasn't stepped up their game with the mini 14. This is the reality many people live with in these iron curtain states.
Just give us the bullpup MCX already!!!
Ew, no.
@@CornFed_3uh yes, please. This MCX that went back in time to inferior rifle stock designs is disgusting… who on earth asked for this monstrosity? A $3k fudd ranch rifle…

that has a ton of money on hand.
We get ranch rifle MCX before we get readily available barrel replacements for their modular MCX. MCX platform has been around for 8 years and the only option for .300 blackout barrel replacement on their site is a 9" barrel. Literally never buying another Sig product.

For those who live in the highly restricted states, this is a great option.
Until they push for a semi automatic weapon ban that targets firing mechanisms and cosmetics.
Ian Malcolm: Yeah, uh, don't you see the danger, John, uh, inherent in what you're doing here? Genetic power's the most awesome force this planet's ever seen, but you wield it like a kid who's found his dad's gun.
Donald Gennaro: It's hardly appropriate to start hurling accusations--
Ian Malcolm: If I may, if I may. Uh, I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're, that you're using here. It didn't require any discipline to attain it. You know, you read what others had done, and you, and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility... for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses, uh, to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew it, you had, you've patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunch box, and now (bangs the table) you're selling it, you wanna sell it, well.
John Hammond: I don't think you're giving us our due credit. Our scientists have done things which nobody has ever done before.
Ian Malcolm: Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied over whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
John Hammond: Condors. Condors are on the verge of extinction.
Ian Malcolm: No, --
John Hammond: No, no! If I was to create a flock of condors on this island, you wouldn't have anything to say.
Ian Malcolm: No, no, listen, this isn't some species that was obliterated by deforestation or, uh, the building of a dam. Dinosaurs, uh, had their shot, and nature selected them for extinction.
John Hammond: I simply don't understand this kind of Luddite attitude, especially from a scientist! I mean, how can we stand in the light of discovery and not act?
Ian Malcolm: Oh, what's so great about discovery? It's a violent, penetrative act that scars what it explores. What you call discovery, I call the rape of the natural world.
Sig just dropped the hardest rancher edit gawd damn.
Lil pricey for a ranch rifle eh?
Damnit SIG I'm trying to work on my battle rifle collection and you drop that. God damnit and I have a gun show happening tomorrow. My wallet hurts.
I think 99% of ranchers and people that live in the regions depicted, already have some kind of trusty rifle already. Like I don’t think they’re gonna spend the money on what they see in their eyes as a fancy new thing, when they can just clean and maintain the gun they’ve had by their side for 10/15/20 years. And if that breaks, chances are they’ll just get a replacement. Maybe if the guy is like 20 then he might consider it, but these 50 year old guys they’re showing here probably won’t lol.
Gotta be handy with the steel, earn your keep!
THREE. HUNDRED. BLACKOUT.
Sig out here dropping cowboy edits for a CA compliant gun with a whole 1 round fired during the add and they'll deadass be like "now give us $638010163673910 dollars for it please."
I like SIG’s. I have an MCX already. However, the semi-auto ranch rifle concept has already been filled by Ruger with the Mini-14/30. (Which I also have) That rifle is proven for decades and a SIG at a higher price point wouldn’t do anything better.
If SIG and other companies wanted to really help the consumer get a rifle with “features” they’d contribute more to the lawsuits that would help to eliminate such restrictions.
Not gonna lie, I own a Sig MCX LT, and I kinda want this too! This just looks FUN!
I can't think of a single advantage to this over a Standard MCX. And, by extension, I can't think of a reason to want it... other than personal preference? Or I guess states with weird laws? I *certainly* wouldn't want it with a damn break.
Even then, It's still a Sig product, so it's going to be over priced, and unreliable. Just get a $500 beater AR with a perfectly reliable DI system. Hell, for the same price, you could get 6 or 7...
because not all places have the same level of freedom, this is for people in those places, that also have a lot of money to spend.
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073 pretty sure I covered that, didn't I?
You're not thinking hard enough then.
Yeah this is definitely a compliant thing. Though I live in Illinois , and I'm pretty sure even this thing would not be legal.
Well, too much ranch and not enough rifle in the video. Why a muzzle brake on something that has so little recoil? First thing I'd do is take that off, for the sake of my hearing, and replace it with something to reduce the muzzle blast. It always makes me laugh when people have an artillery style muzzle brake on something my mother could shoot without noticing the recoil... and she's an English teacher, from England, doesn't shoot much. And the music... are we starting a war with this rifle? Is this aimed at the 'tactical' wannabe 'operators'?
because places like california flash suppressors are illegal but breaks are still legal.
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh6073 Yes, I lived there 20 years. The blast suppressing devices are not flash suppressors, so they are legal. You only get one set of ears and a single loud event will do them permanent damage. A muzzle brake hugely increases the noise at the shooter. It's even worse for people alongside.
I like it. Not as fun or dated as the mini 14, not as shit as the sks.
Im all for new ways to change the ar platform.
Only rancher I’ve ever seen walk away from the truck to pop a yote rather than just shooting it from the door. My guy needs all the help he can get to hit it with a flinch like that
