Take a look at the 'dingle dangle' rigs in SA. I use a bare wire off the bend of mine that has a coil around it made from a paper clip. Then just elastic a ball of bait to it.

Always think it would be better if coloured line was used for knot tying demonstrations and more attention was paid to the background of the tying process. Good explanation though, I like the Mutsu hooks a lot.
