Love your videos, and that little kid doing a David Byrne impression of dancing was absolutely priceless. The thing about the Heads -- they're categorized as a "quirky" band, which to some degree they were. But they could also absolutely kick some music butt.
Talking Heads definitely a unique band! Definitely check out "Wild Wild Life" and "Once In A LIfetime" videos, and "Burning Down The House", one of their most popular songs.
I think the running just signifies that nothing stands still in war, or everyone becomes a "headless chicken". I really like how he sprawls on the floor, before singing downwards and throwing the stand.
You must watch the whole film this is from (Stop Making Sense); even if you aren't a Talking Heads fan, it's guaranteed a brilliant concert/concept film.
It’s the best. I’ve watched it with my six year old multiple times. We just saw David Byrne’s American Utopia on Broadway and are going back to NYC for the last show Sunday because it was so phenomenal.
It is! I'm not a fan of watching concerts, typically, but I remember when I looked it up on UA-cam and binged that whole concert in the middle of the night. I was riveted!! So fun to watch! Some songs I even prefer live vs their studio album version. (Backup vocals killing it!) Talking Heads will always have a special place in my heart.
Perhaps the best concert film of all time. I can't think of a better one. Directed by Jonathan Demme, who also directed Silence of the Lambs, Melvin and Howard, and Philadelphia.
The lead singer is David Byrne and he’s going to be the musical guest later on this month on Saturday Night Live. Great band, great song. Love your reaction.

And his American Utopia tour was amaaaaaazing. Currently on Broadway, for those in NYC (or visiting)!
I discovered the Talking Heads when I was in college. I heard music like I had never heard before walking past Mikey’s room. Went in and listened to the whole Remain in the light album. A couple of years later I broke off my engagement with my High School sweetheart and came to grips with my sexuality after listening to ‘Once in a lifetime’ about 100 times. I decided I wasn’t going to go though my life and wake up one day and have to say to myself, “My God what have a I done”. Now at 60 I can say that this changed the course of my life. I saw the “Stop Making Sense concert love at the Greek in LA in 1983 and it is to this days one of my favorite concerts. They may not be everyone’s cup,of tea but they will always be one of my favorites.
Stellar performance. I am 60 , this came out when I was a teenager in the late 70s. We were under the cloud of possible nuclear war with The Soviet Union. There was a terrible recession. No jobs. You had to be there. Things were not good. This is ART! Love it! So cool to see you loving it!
Watch her "Watching The Detectives" reaction - the kid knocks on the door at just the wrong time in the story line, kind of makes it spookier for a few seconds until I realized it's just the kid. :)
Great reaction to a great song! Talking Heads were very popular in the Eighties. Their biggest hit was "Burning Down the House," which you will love, if you hadn't heard it already. One of my favorites by them was their first hit "Psycho Killer." The video you watched was from their award winning documentary of their "Stop Making Sense" tour.
I think she and the drummer (Chris Frantz) are one of the best rhythm sections ever in alternative Rock. And contrary to the "myth" that says personal relationships in bands don't work, these two have been married for 43 years now!
Just when I thought I couldn’t like you more - this is your best reaction and that’s exactly how Talking Heads makes me feel too. Definitely watch this film in its entirety. It was directed by Jonathan Demme and is considered one of the best concert films ever, if not THE best.
Well now...you do have this hack director named Martin Scorsese using cinematographers like Lazlo Kovacs to make a movie called the "Last Waltz." The Band isn't too bad either...
I went to see them, cir 93' NC, didn't know what to expect. Started the show 20-30min of acoustic solo, so relaxing and on key, almost put you to sleep. THEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!! AMAZING contrast!
Your child is the next generation Reacter. So sweet. Of course you had the tune in your headset. But him pretend running was AWESOME. PLAY THIS WHEN HE'S OLDER 💕💕💃🕺
India you are freaking brilliant. Cute too. I agree with your analysis of running. The song came to being when Talking Heads were playing at a popular NYC club. Lead singer David Byrne looked around at all the kids drinking and dancing and schmoozing -- and imagine how different they'd be acting if war was forced upon them.
I absolutely love watching you reacting to old school music. I loved seeing your son pop in to visit too! You strike me as a hopeless romantic, someone I wish I could have swooned in a song to watch you melt! If that good looking little man is any indication, you dont mind going a little snowblind...
Perfect reaction. Oh man. Somehow I always seem to forget how much I love them. This video had me rolling laughing. True entertainers, great song writers, and good musicians.
Great reaction @IndiaReacts! Talking Heads were definitely a unique and energetic band. Eclectic, quirky, high energy college "art band" who had their own niche in the 80s new wave scene. In the 80s, aerobics/ aerobic dancing was a good way to engage the audience and inspire everyone to join in. If you watch their concert film, Stop Making Sense, you'll see just how they use "motion to create emotion". Good singers know how important that is to their performance. Check out their songs "Burning Down the House", "My Girlfriend is Better", "Once in a Lifetime"... You'll be amazed!
Was never a huge fan but came across this concert on some music channel on a ps4 app. Needless to say it was awesome and I couldn’t stop watching...what a show!!
For me it’s virtually impossible to pick my favourite Talking heads song because they are all brilliant, if I was really pressed to chose, it would probably be Swamp 😎
David Byrne has said he got the idea for the song from watching the club kids in NYC and comparing them to what people go through in war torn parts of the world. Mudd Club and CBGB (no longer in existence) were clubs where Talking Heads played.
Thanks for the info. They made a movie about CBGB with Alan Rickman and one of the Hogwarts kids -- Rupert Grint -- that was pretty interesting if you're interested in NY music scene or punk history.
I adore Talking Heads! They were there for the birth of the MTV age, so aesthetic is everything. Especially for TH. And the amazing musicianship. PS: beautiful baby!! ❤✌
Love your reaction. Your kid is very cute and the tune is amazing. There is a tremendous amount of poetry and art in Talking Heads. Load to ways to relate. I'd love to see your reaction to so much Talking Heads music..
LOL. I really enjoyed your critique but your little boy busting in was hilarious. He did a great job mimicking the running in the video. Good job to the both of you!
You can listen to every song of their's and every single song is completely different, but you know it's them. And your son is such a cute kid. So sweet. He just wants to help his mommy react to the videos. I bet he's got you wrapped around his finger.
Your boy is adorable although staying quiet doesn't seem to be his strong point. So cute. Yes that concert film is one of the best ever made, covers all their hits and their cover of 'Take Me to the River' is brilliant too (an Al Green song, I hope you know his music). There are only 4 members in the band, the rest are there for the tour/film to reproduce the sound of the albums.
It's about them hitting the road as more than just a club band starting to get famous. The van loaded with weapons is the band's instruments. Have to watch "Stop Making Sense" in it's entirety. Awesome performance. Keep up the good work!
This concert "Stop Making Sense" is one of the best live show ever! "Psycho Killer" is another great song from them.
and proof positive that a LOT of coke was done that night :)
This Must Be The Place from Stop Making Sense is just amazing.
I was too young to catch this tour, but a local theater played this, and the whole crowd was cheering like it was a live show - it was amazing.
sam newman That song live is all kinds of magical!
Agree. One of the best concert movies ever made.
Love your videos, and that little kid doing a David Byrne impression of dancing was absolutely priceless.
The thing about the Heads -- they're categorized as a "quirky" band, which to some degree they were. But they could also absolutely kick some music butt.

I was not expecting this song to result in the most adorable reaction to date.
7:36 - Holy cow is that a cute kid!
You must watch the whole film this is from (Stop Making Sense); even if you aren't a Talking Heads fan, it's guaranteed a brilliant concert/concept film.
It’s the best. I’ve watched it with my six year old multiple times. We just saw David Byrne’s American Utopia on Broadway and are going back to NYC for the last show Sunday because it was so phenomenal.
i'd say it's the best
Best I've ever seen.
Agreed !
Check out this whole concert!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn I can’t believe someone is finally reacting to this performance. The whole show is stellar
Perhaps the best concert film of all time. I can't think of a better one. Directed by Jonathan Demme, who also directed Silence of the Lambs, Melvin and Howard, and Philadelphia.
Absolutely! 😍
Cute baby boy! Life gets in the way, and its all right!
Great reaction to TALKING HEADS. Thank you.
The best part was the unexpected visitor. What a beautiful child.
Punk Funk. This entire concert is a masterpiece.
The lead singer is David Byrne and he’s going to be the musical guest later on this month on Saturday Night Live. Great band, great song. Love your reaction.
And his American Utopia tour was amaaaaaazing. Currently on Broadway, for those in NYC (or visiting)!
I hope I see that episode!
Can't wait. Saw The American Utopia show and loved it.

Davis Byrne is a master of performance art 😍

"I've change my hairstyle... so many times now... I don't know what I look like!"
Covid lockdown hair
This is one of THE great bands ! thank you !
peace x

If you aren't smiling you aren't alive. I cannot stop smiling. It is pure joy.
I actually appreciate you including your son’s interruption instead of just running him off ❤️
No shit.. we got lives, you got a life... don't worry about it even a tiny bit.

Best live concert video ever made! Period!!
Beautiful child. Best ever!
My very favorite version of this song. So glad she liked it .....
Adorable child btw .....
They r always left in the most amazing way. Burning down the House is my fav...Love The Talking Heads
I saw them back in the 80’s!! One of the best concerts I ever saw! ❤️
Me too. It was unbelievable.
I had been at their Big Suits Concert that they played in Radio City Music Hall.
They were fabulous!
I saw them about 3 times. They were one of my favorite bands back then.
I saw this same show but in Philadelphia in the 80s. Awesome 👏
I saw this tour, at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Still one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen.
The dancers are outstanding. 💗
"Road to Nowhere" "don't fence me in". Such a GREAT band...
They were running because it is fun and entertaining. No hidden meaning 😄
Tina Weymouth has to be the funkiest bass player ever.
I think she and the drummer (Chris Frantz) are one of the best rhythm sections ever in alternative Rock. And contrary to the "myth" that says personal relationships in bands don't work, these two have been married for 43 years now!
'Cities' is my fave bassline of hers. Crazy white funky chick!
Underrated both as a player and her role in the band.
One who wasn't from funk or soul, absolutely!
I'll see your Tina Weymouth and i'll raise you a Jerry Barnes
Just when I thought I couldn’t like you more - this is your best reaction and that’s exactly how Talking Heads makes me feel too. Definitely watch this film in its entirety. It was directed by Jonathan Demme and is considered one of the best concert films ever, if not THE best.

Buckhorn Cortez That is precisely why I didn’t flat-out say that SMS is the best 😀 The Last Waltz is iconic.
I went to see them, cir 93' NC, didn't know what to expect. Started the show 20-30min of acoustic solo, so relaxing and on key, almost put you to sleep. THEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!
AMAZING contrast!
The kiddo was cute! I love the Talking Heads... Thank you!
I’ve loved your reaction videos for a few years. You’re the best!
You seem to be one of the few who dig deep into the lyrics.
Love your baby. ❤️
Omg the talking heads are an amazing group! Soooo many great songs, they were the cutting edge back in the day. Super cute baby lol...♡
Your child is the next generation Reacter. So sweet. Of course you had the tune in your headset. But him pretend running was AWESOME. PLAY THIS WHEN HE'S OLDER 💕💕💃🕺
Thank you. This is probably my favorite Talking Heads, performance. They aren't just music but performance art as well. Loved it!
Love this song, love your reaction, and love the little man. He's adorable.
Your lil boy is so precious!!🥰
Love Taking Heads!!!
You’ll love talking heads once-in-a-lifetime. Loved your reaction.
I have watched your reactions and I have liked them very much, but your human kindness to your young child walking in on you will never leave me. :)
Check out "Genius of Love" by the Tom Tom Club (2 members of the Talking Heads). And what a cute kid!
Yes! So dancy.
"Genius of Love" is probably one of the most sampled songs in existence.
Heck they even do it live in the same concert.
And Wordy Rappinghood!
awwww....that lil child pupper is the most adorable!!!!!!!!! I'm dead from cute. Love those curls. My little one had those curls at that age
OMG! I love it when your kids come in while you're recording. You are a fantastic Mommy! Great job! ❤
Have loved this band for 40 some years, loved your reaction to the song, and loved your beautiful child's smooth entrance.
Your baby is KEWT!!! The Talking Heads RULE!
Thank you, awesome reaction and cute kid. I think that's the most you've chair danced to a song to date.
Our girl is already feelin' Talking Heads....i love it!!!
You should watch this whole concert movie, Stop Making Sense, it's amazing.
Cute kid good reaction!
Saw Talking heads in the early 80’s. They had brought out 12 extra musicians for the concert......awesome
Awesone song and reaction!! OMG, what a cute little man!
OMG, you're boy is so cute. These guys are fire. Do yourself a favor and watch the whole movie sometime. Stay safe. Peace from SF
Love the Talking Heads. Their music was so unique for the times. More, please!
A great group. One of the best of the 80's. David Byrne had a unique dance style in all of his performances.
Nice review! Adorable child! Talking Heads have so many great songs. My favorite is "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)".
It’s so inspiring to watch someone that appreciates music in the way that you do...Music is clearly in your soul...Love it!!!
One of the absolute best concert films ever, Stop Making Sense. You can feel the energy.

The greatest live performance on film. No. Question. This band live was the greatest I've ever seen.
My first time to listen to this band ,cute baby just like it's mom thanks for what you do
This was true art, visual and audible in harmony. I'm so glad you gave it a ride.
couple more Talking Heads songs for you: We're on the Road to Nowhere and Wild wild life.
Hahaha!! Love your reaction! Your expressions are priceless! 😂😂
Oh my god your baby is beautiful and that smile! The running in place lol

So I'm enjoying your videos and ...whoa!...what cute little boy!
Great reaction great song beautiful as always
This whole concert is a masterpiece. Making Flippy Floppy/ This Must Be the Place are my favs from the performance.
Great reaction to the amazing Talking Heads! My daughter is 24 and loves the TH's. Your energy while reacting is fun to watch 🤪
One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite groups.
I'd forgotten just how good this group was.
Check out "Burning Down The House" saw these guys in Central Park in 79 or 80 (?). Fabulous!
great reaction, cute kid., great mum.
This Must Be the Place by talking heads is brilliant and soul stirring
Your boy is adorable although staying quiet doesn't seem to be his strong point. So cute.

You know what we need to do to kids who can't stay quiet? Hand them an instrument and a microphone, and let the magic happen! :D
He was brilliant ❤
This might be my fave reaction of yours yet! Your expressions were awesome!
brilliant band, brilliant song. Great reaction!
India,, you think "Life During War time" is about....war. These guys were early new wave. I saw them live. Stunning.
It's about them hitting the road as more than just a club band starting to get famous. The van loaded with weapons is the band's instruments. Have to watch "Stop Making Sense" in it's entirety. Awesome performance. Keep up the good work!
Love having your son stop in and say hi! nice.
Oh my god your reaction is me every single time I watch that BIG MOOD
