Yes, people are right, KL is one of the cities in the world that has a big value for your money.
Great place, what a beautiful place, looks like a magazine cover… Looks like a great place to explore KL…
What a crazy coincidence-I stayed at Scarlet Suitz last October! My experience was mixed. The location was great for exploring nearby attractions, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. However, the facility itself didn't quite live up to its promotional hype. The gym was small, the pool needed better cleaning, and the noise from neighboring rooms was disruptive at times. Additionally, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, especially the bed linens and living area, could be improved. While the staff's efforts were notable, the overall value didn't quite match the price. If you're considering a stay, keep these points in mind!
Yep agree + the elevators are horrible
Thanks for doing a review in Malaysia, hope you have a good time here.
Welcome to KL, Malaysia. What a wonderful video. Hope that you are having a good time and a pleasant stay.
USD1,500 sounds a little bit more expensive than usual. Somehow, I feel that there are some other places in KL that offer a good stay below USD1,500.
Cool to see you made it to KL!
I stayed in Scarletz suites before, I wouldn't recommend it to others who might consider it by the way. You'll be waiting 20 min for an elevator because its gets so busy with Airbnb guests and the weekends are horrendously busy. Also the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from your neighbours, and the traffic and cars roaring past at night.
If you're gonna stay in that sort of area, I would recommend Star residences instead, which was shown in your video. The apartments are more spacious, higher quality, less noise, less busy and only slightly more expensive!
100% the elevators are horrible, I have to leave 10min early to even pick up a Grab delivery.
It's a common small sized 1 bedroom unit as found in such cities. Obviously $1,500 is a huge premium for short stay.
Chill stay in the suburban area, that where most of the people stays and relax and more calm
Can I ask please Tuomas, what do you use to film? Camera, lens etc please.
How would you compare to Dubai, price-wise, quality of life for money, and networking opportunities??
Lived there too. Not bad, a bit too touristy area tho. Also nice was Ceylonz Suites(five senses, dont go with those cheap on airbnb), its located in a better area with lots of cafes and I even met monkeys on the street!
"Stars suites" besides all that youtube hype actually suucks, Scarletz is really waay better.
And the best experience for me was in RuMa(on more luxurious side, 5-star) and Element(4-star with kitchen, dont know if there's long-term options)
Could you find anything to eat that wasn’t cooked in palm oil?
How hot & humid was it?
How were the grocerie prices?
You can live in Kuala Lumpur comfortably for around $2000/month including everything...It's an affordable luxury city and a great place to live.
very hot & humid, less than Bangkok tho. I haven't paid too much attention to grocery prices, ordering food is like 20-40RM per meal. You can find pretty much any kind of food.
Yeah easily you could live on $2k a month for a normal lifestyle & if renting long-term
If you don't want palm oil, you shouldn't come to Asia, many foods in Asia use some form of palm oil. Stay in the EU to avoid that.
hey. are you in KL to escape the Dubai heat in July/Aug/Sept?
You are indeed in KL now!
nice job
The elevator thing 😂😂 it’s like that in London also. Nightmare
👍👍👍
Is the dirtiness in kl the same as in London
No it’s very clean
1500 usd for rent i plan to live for 1500 a month
very expensive even for KL
Hey dude. Am in KL central too. You still in KL? We can catch up
No longer there atm :(
The apartment looks very small for $1500 per month. That is actually a rip off. That's getting close to 60% of London prices for the same square footage, which is ridiculous for Malaysia. Don't rent something like this if people are ripping you off, it just encourages more rip offs. The kitchen is tiny. This is basically a studio apartment with an enclosed bedroom. RIP OFF.
What are you talking about? That’s not a ripoff price for a month..
@@fuadarif4056 For Malaysia and based on the size, it is.
@@klmn2000but this is cheap for us… 1500 in new york u get a toilet size apartment
@@gudjonfunction4102 But Kuala Lumpur is not New York. Not by a long stretch.
@fuadarif4056
Bro I have been renting an apartment in Klcc for more than 5 years and have changed 3 apartments till date, He has been ripped off I have a 3bhk 2000sqft apartment with walking distance to twin towers and I pay $920, this is definitely a ripp off
yes, $1500 way too much
Dude got bamboozled lol for 1500 a month theres just as nice place for about half that price
Like he said he’s overpaying as it’s only 1 month
You're overpaying so much lmao
Definitely not worth the money considering the lack of space, lack of proper dining table, and lack of decent desk.
