Thank you for mentioning POTS. It is really disabling, but too most people, including doctors, have never heard of it. Despite it being quite common.

If your torch is anything like mine, there should be a magnet around the torch end as well. Makes it super easy to find lost pins and needles as the light from the torch picks up the shine from the offending lost stabby thing.

My dad used to work in construction, and they had a powerful magnet on wheels that they'd roll around when they were done to pick up lost nails and staples and such. Saved a Lot of tires

My middle school students dropped pins like crazy and of course, didn't even think about picking them up. I got a magnetic roller (probably meant for nuts and bolts, etc). My students loved it. They would roll it around at the end of class to see how many they could pick up. I would highly recommend one for anyone teaching sewing!

Back in the day, I was married to a "sound guy" who worked with Big Speakers. These used donut shaped magnets as part of the sound driving system. Occasionally one would blow and out I collected the magnet when it was dismantled...
I have one on a cord loop about three feet long and the other one literally lives in a vintage movie film canister (1960s) where I store my pins.

I have a telescoping magnet like that for picking up tools behind my tool bench. Usually when I drop a sewing pin, I find it with my foot, so this is probably better lol!

Not sure where it was bought originally as I've had it for years. It was likely either Home Depot, Canadian Tire, or Lee Valley. The magnet on the end is supposed to be for sticking the flashlight to stuff, so you have an easily transportable worklight.
