Great and neat job as always , you know what I mostly like about your videos is that you explain everything clearly and in detail . Have a nice New Year you and your family .
Very slick repair and it always a lot of work making new fit the old. I repaired a block ice maker, 1st one I've ever seen and use R12 after fixing the leak. Owner of unit says it cooled just like when it was new.
Nice job on modifying the bracket to make it work. But when you installed that motor depending on how it's mounted will determine which drain plugs to remove. In your application horizontal mount the drain holes need to be at the bottom at 6 o'clock position and remove both plugs shaft end and lead end. In the video it looks like your drain plugs are at about 7 0'clock
nice job!! liked the way you adapted it in... many people just don't do that anymore... I've done similar ones it takes a little "out of the box" thinking. .. keep up the good work!
I wood of tried to rebuild the motor before doing all of that first I have found that rebuilding motors is easy and fun and most times cheaper than a new one
Excellent job. Fasco makes a heavy duty belly band bracket part number 55S its very sturdy compared to the hose clamp type ones. The way you modified the mounting is the way factory should have done it so you can use a standard replacement motor.
Great work & video Jim. I would suggest to get some grinder cut-off wheels, they are handy for cutting bolts, shafts, sheetmetal....ect. Have a Happy New Year.
+Nicholas CeeA thats how it would have been done back in the early 60's but it would be a couple days in the motor shop, the customer got his milk delivery while I was on his roof installing the motor , thanks
Wonderful video Jim / you are old school , there is nothing that can not be fixed , the thing is ,,, does the Tech . want to fix it , or does he just want to rig it & go home , if you like what you do , you'll do it right .
my place before they closed down the units are 50 years old with old hill refrigeration units and Hussmann units but have modern BOHN units the units that are old are dated 1967 on them.

Nice work Jim. That blade sure is close to the fins. I would have looked into replacing the motor bearings.
