I've read the Bible every year from Genesis to Revelation for the past 37 years along with many credible studies including four years of Biblical Hebrew and I have to say, John Barnette is one of the most knowable preachers in the world. To say he is spot on is an understatement. So all I have to say to him is this. Thank you Pastor John for the incredible teachings and willingness to speak the truth to all of us, the saved and the lost, in a time when truth is under vicious attack. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say, "we really appreciate you."

I used to be Catholic until I not only read the KJV Bible and the catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. The catechism contradicted the Bible. So, I renounced Catholicism and gave my life to Christ and became a Christian.
The KJV Bible changed many things to suit protestant beliefs and removed 7 books from the bible so it must be burned I'm Catholic because God lead me to the Catholic church

@@andreeattieh2963 the Apocrypha was added to the Old Testament during the translation from Hebrew to Greek around 250BC. Old testament scriptures did not contain the Apocrypha prior to that. Years later, when the Bible was translated to Latin, the Apocrypha was separated as non-canonical as they were not spiritually lead writings. The KJV version completely took the Apocrypha out as to not exalt the writings to the same standard as spiritually lead scripture.

I came to this conclusion after having an enlightening thought out of nowhere one day of the saints of the church being unbelievably similar to the gods of paganism. I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't get that thought out of my head, bearing in mind I was a very devout Catholic and it was blasphemous, until I did more research on the matter and everything started falling into place. And I was so thankful to find out there are other people out there sharing the same thought as me. Perhaps it was planted there by the one true God to find out the truth for ourselves.

Perhaps the different incarnations of nature spirits to polytheism to patron saints are just the era-specific manifestations of an eternal truth. European Christianity is a fusion of exported semitic culture and indigenous European culture. The Catholic church was the bridge that connected our indigenous European spirit with Semitic thought. The result was Roman Catholicism. The reformation, as pertinent as it was at the time and good kick to the ass of all the corrupt church officials, but it went too far in turning it's back on the Catholic Church and as such has cut off all connection to it's European heritage which is why it views the European influences as the "work of the devil".

Raised Catholic, there was more effort praying to Mary than her Creator Son, Jesus! There are saved Catholics, yes, but from my experience, the majority place their faith in working for salvation, and God help the sinners! We were never told to tell others about Jesus! Catholics will berate sinners without realizing they are sinners themselves! We are all sinners who need to come to JESUS!

I'm not into any of the Catholic stuff. I was raised in it. Specifically the Fatima cult. I moved out at 19 and never went back to church. To me .. the Rosary reminds me of the scene from Wayne's World where they bow down to Alice Cooper and say "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" I'm not a believer by the way .. The Sunday, following Passover is always resurrection Sunday, called the feast of first fruits and sometimes it is the same day as easter The Feast of God is not the feast of the Jews. Snake-handlers and bigamists and African pay-by-the-hour deliverance preachers and Benny Hinn's force powers are much more nonsensical than anything found in Catholicism. Basically, if Almighty God allowed the only form of Christianity to exist on earth for about a thousand years to be a false teaching that sends people to hell, he'd have to be utterly incompetent. Wow. Go study history. The Bible was in Latin up until Martin Luther, who himself was a Catholic until the Lord opened his eyes. He had the Bible translated into German and then printed after the Gutenberg printing press was invented. Many people were set free finally as they were able to read the scriptures themselves without interpretation. So… hear me out and let’s have a calm discussion about something.. A representation or image of God is forbidden. I got no problem with that because one thing that can happen is that we have our own minds corrupted in how we see and regard and ultimately revere the great mystery of God… so with this I consider MOST systematic theologies to be a type of representation or “image” of God worked out in our own minds that reduces the majesty and wonder of who He is.

It is foolishness to misinterperate the scripts saying that they are evil, as the similarities are uncanny. It's translated in allegories for the attainment of a level of consciousness. @@andreeattieh2963 the Apocrypha was added to the Old Testament during the translation from Hebrew to Greek around 250BC. Old testament scriptures did not contain the Apocrypha prior to that. Years later, when the Bible was translated to Latin, the Apocrypha was separated as non-canonical as they were not spiritually lead writings. The KJV version completely took the Apocrypha out as to not exalt the writings to the same standard as spiritually lead scripture.

I came to this conclusion after having an enlightening thought out of nowhere one day of the saints of the church being unbelievably similar to the gods of paganism. I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't get that thought out of my head, bearing in mind I was a very devout Catholic and it was blasphemous, until I did more research on the matter and everything started falling into place. And I was so thankful to find out there are other people out there sharing the same thought as me. Perhaps it was planted there by the one true God to find out the truth for ourselves.

Where you went wrong was with easter. Everything about easter is pagan including the day itself. I'm not into any of the Catholic stuff. I was raised in it. Specifically the Fatima cult. I moved out at 19 and never went back to church. To me .. the Rosary reminds me of the scene from Wayne's World where they bow down to Alice Cooper and say "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!" I'm not a believer by the way .. I do believe he lived. I believe he was a powerful magi, philosopher, healer, and revolutionary. I don't believe he was God, or performed actual miracles (faith healing is not a miracle, it has analogs in modern medicine) and I don't believe he rose from the dead. Snake-handlers and bigamists and African pay-by-the-hour deliverance preachers and Benny Hinn's force powers are much more nonsensical than anything found in Catholicism.
Basically, if Almighty God allowed the only form of Christianity to exist on earth for about a thousand years to be a false teaching that sends people to hell, he'd have to be utterly incompetent. Whatever you may think of it, Catholicism is the branch of Christianity that's objectively most likely to be true.

Wow. Go study history. The Bible was in Latin up until Martin Luther, who himself was a Catholic until the Lord opened his eyes. He had the Bible translated into German and then printed after the Gutenberg printing press was invented. Many people were set free finally as they were able to read the scriptures themselves without interpretation.
