Thank you so much for your vids! i already learned a good amount about CAT motors because of you and more. I cant wait to see what you do with Interstatemademe 379!
just a question, all the good parts with the new ringed head and marine cam with all the upgrades to get good power out of the c15s can all these be applied to the 3406B and Cs or are there other steps for the 3406 b and Cs to get upgraded power and longevity? still really enjoy all the information you share on your videos, Great information!
There is a possibility that you might be able to do the dual thermostats. Definitely can put a Cummins thermostat in it. I can't swear that the head bolt locations are the same on a mechanical as on an E model. But I think they are. So maybe... maybe... our local machine shop could o-ring a mechanical head without having to pay out the nose for new designs. But I don't know of anyone out there making an o-ringed head for one. I'm not sure what else you can do for a mechanical. Not really my era of engine. But I do know that if you want to beef up the bottom end of a E model or C-15, you take the block stiffener off a mechanical (the plate between the block and the oil pan) and install it on the bottom of the electronic block.
Glad the Camshaft Issue is being resolved
The Cat is DEFINITELY coming along AWESOME
Thxs 4 sharing Day 8
