Thanks for this- as Northern California visitors we often just pay- but as a family of four- that gets expensive. Love getting tips like these. Well done and engaging.
Such an amazing attraction in such an incredible part of Disneyland. Rise of the Resistance is a must but can be frustrating for most guest to experience. This is an awesome set of tips to make it easier to be part of the Resistance.
It’s really nice that standby is an option now. Broke my heart to see Citizens and families not know about the virtual queue and/or have it break down and not be able to experience it. The CMs weren’t having too much fun with that, either! Nice that there are so many options now.
Thanks for the tips. The last time I was there we had early entry (stayed at DGCal). We got to go up to the gate at the end of Fantasyland- and it didn't open til 8am- wasting the early entry perk. Then when we got in, the ride wasn't working. Ended up buy $25 LL.
The ride breakdown waaaasss my best friend! Hehe Yeah, we saw it was down, we walked around Galaxy’s Edge, eyeing the entrance every few minutes, and sure enough, we saw cast members kinda shuffling around, we thought it was time, and yup, first ones on, no line at all and then used Rider Swap so all adults in our group could ride with no line! It was awesome!
Great tip and of course can be used for any attraction you want to experience at rope drop. This only works if you are very close to the rope of the land you are rope dropping.
Loved this video! I’m currently planning a family trip in June. Haven’t been since 2017…so many changes and this ride is on the list. Brickey is one of the best resources for planning I have for enjoying the parks!!!
Great tips - thanks for sharing . As an out of state guest, my wait and ride experiences have been all over the board and that’s usually with an ILL. Love these tips. You’re throwing down some great intel.❤
Thank you! Great tips! I have not been able to ride this yet, and I can’t wait til I finally do!!! These will definitely help on our next visit to the parks. Awesome video Brickey!
Last time we went in January 2023. We saw that Rise was down. It was mid afternoon so we needed a break anyways. We took a seat on a wall near the entrance and kept an eye on it. We had a snack drank some water. Sure enough we noticed more cast members were coming out front. We had a feeling something was happening we made our way to the front and had a better than rope drop line! By the time we got out of the ride was back up to an hour or more wait. I have also seen it down for hours and hours so sitting there hours and hours wouldn’t of been a good use of time. We just got lucky!!! Plus running into mando was cool too!
Brickey gotta say…I follow a lot of Disney you tube channels and I always get the most excited when your videos pop up. I may be a little biased since I’ve listened to AID since episode 1, haha. But your videos, like your podcast are just a higher quality than most. Your delivery is better, editing is better, and I know a huge part of that is the detail obsession that haunts all of us designers…I know you feel like people don’t care sometimes but the extra time and effort shows in every video. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to this!
Great list. So many creative trees. Glad you gave love to the often overlooked Jungle Cruise tree! Loved all the great camera work. Excited to get to the park during the holiday. #club1313
A great set of tips for an extraordinary attraction. Rope drop is my tried and true, but I love the suggestion of waiting out a breakdown while catching vibes in Batuu. ❤
Thanks so much for the tips as hard as it is sometimes to be able to ride Rise of the Resistance I know your tips will come in very handy when i choose to ride it thanks again for some well thought out tips that will help me and many of the other guest enjoying themselves in the park now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Brickey and I’ll see you on the next awesome Hey Brickey adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Hey Brickey! Thanks for the awesome tips and tricks on avoiding those long lines at the Rise of the Resistance ride in Disneyland. I followed your advice, and I gotta say, I felt like a Jedi master weaving my way through the crowds! Your video was super informative and entertaining, and I appreciate the effort you put into researching the best ways to beat the lines. I was skeptical at first, but your strategies not doubtfully will pay off, shaving hour of wait time leaving more for the magic. I also loved the hilarious commentary and jokes sprinkled throughout the video. You made the experience of waiting in line (or lack thereof) so much more enjoyable with your witty banter. Thanks again for sharing your expertise with us. You're truly the Yoda of theme park line navigation, and we're lucky to have you on our side. May the Force be with you, Brickey!
Love the Advice, however, in the last 4 visits(Feb-April), we purchased the ILL 3 times and it was sold out 1 time (didn't wait in line), so I have ridden once in 4 tries, and I have been refunded twice. Just keep those fingers crossed that the ride opens and that it stays operating until the 9 pm close. All great advice though. Thanks!!
We rope dropped back in February and entered Galaxy’s Edge by thunder mountain and that’s definitely the way to do it! I genuinely felt sad for the families entering from hungry bear and realizing the line was forming the other direction 😩 I want to try your last tip one day!
We had a LL for millennium I saw rise was down on the app but as soon as we were walking down rise I noticed the line being lead by a cast member and got on line as well , less than 20 min overall I couldn’t have planned better 😅 it was just luck , the day before we did wait less than 40 min which I considered reasonable best ride ever ! I was down to apply any of the tips however for our first visit I guess magic was on our side 😊
I am thankful for Disney's current DAS program allowing me to avoid the long standby lines. There are a lot of people who are against the DAS program and autistic people being eligible for it, but Disneyland is for everyone.
I celebrate the DAS program and how Disneyland is an inclusive place compared to how the world is outside the berm. I am so glad that on of my "Citizen of Disneyland" friends is able to enjoy the park with DAS 🙌👻❤
Time it out so you go after the fireworks. Most of the families leave the park and it's just young adults and some high schoolers still there. The line is shorter and a lot more fun because the cast members are extra sassy toward you given the late hour (they're probably tired and willing to take it out on the guests ;-)
Last Oct. I wait 80 minutes. I sure wish I could get a disability pass. I got turned down last year even with a bad back. . It should have a single line lane.
Appreciate the tips to help out the next visit bud
What an awesome breakdown
Thanks for the tips!
@@HeyBrickeyWill do. I'm going with a group of Star Wars fans this weekend. This video came at the perfect time!

Great tips! I’ve used the breakdown reopening a few times. I’ll have to try the closing too!
Love these tips. Can't wait to use them on my next visit 😍
This was so helpful. I’m going next month and I needed these tips. I hope I see you and get to say, Hey Brickey!

Great tips !
Great tips. I've randomly caught the reopen after a breakdown tip #2. Practically a walk on! Can't wait to try the other tips on my next trip.
BRILLIANT TIPS for getting on this “must experience” Galaxy’s Edge ride!! 🎉 Beautiful cinematography & narration too, Brickey! 💜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks!!
Great tips Brickey! These are definitely all of the best ways to get on this attraction, till the spire!

Just saw you on live stream on Attractions Live! So cool! -one hour and 6.00 min in. She points you out in your black spirit jersey! I😊😊
Thank you! I’m going to try this!
thanks Brickey!
While waiting for the rope to drop, it can be helpful to talk to a CM and ask whether they know if Rise will be open to start the day.
@@HeyBrickey Just thought of it. It’s really more applicable to “The Ultimate Guide to Exploiting Genie+”.

Awesome video great tips used some already but will be trying some out also watching fires works from galaxy’s edge is an experience in itself 🏰 💥
The rope drop always work for me.
We have rope dropped Rise. It took us about 6 minutes through Frontierland. Then about 15 minutes in line. Thanks for all the tips.
Great stuff, thank you. Excited to try #1.
This is such an awesome guide with some practical recommendations 🥰 Love that this is coming from locals that have tested these. Thanks for the tips!
Love avoiding long rotr lines

Thanks for the ROR path tip. Anything will be shorter than the one time I rode it at WDW - broke down so waited 3 hours in line!
Loved all the tips. Especially where to enter Galaxy’s Edge and the last tip. Gonna keep those in mind next time we go. Thanks Brickey!

Thanks for not only Rope Dropping RotR with me, but also scoring us so many spots in the Virtual Queue back in the day 🤗

Not gonna spoil the ending but… that last tip really separates the Padawan from the Jedi
270 minutes? Weak :) Indiana Jones '95 says hello when the line started at the main street train station.
