One area of weakness Louisville may have I haven't heard anyone talking about is their kicking game. Their kicker from last season, who was very good, transferred to Michigan. Their Australian punter also transferred. Now the guy who did their kickoffs last season is trying field goals and they also got a transfer from Cal, but he only had 1 field goal attempt in 4 years. Something to keep an eye on.
At Purdue Brohm had receivers who had the most receptions in all of college football two out of his five years. Look it up. He knows how to get guys the ball. He had a walk on, a white kid named Charlie who had the most reception last season. They will have better talent at Louisville. One of their receivers, Jamari Thrash has already been named top 5 in the ACC and hasn't even taken a snap yet. One thing Louisville fans are not worried about now that they have Brohm is guys getting the ball. And offence in general. Oh, and Brian Brohm is the OC in name only, Jeff calls all the plays just like he did at Purdue.
I think Jeff Brohm is a good coach. My only reservation is what he does in year one. did have have top production at WR at purdue in year 1 ... no. Thats all im saying.

Brian brown was a joke and was hated in louisville, his defense was terrible until he got elite talent on the line and even then his defense sucked until mark ivey stepped in last year (see the Boston college game) mark ivey we retained and is still on staff Yassir abdullah was our best player by far (should have easily won ACC DPOTY if you look at stats) Storm duck was an all ACC corner at UNC regardless of the overall defensive performance of the team Our biggest wide receiver is easily jamari thrash dude was dominant, you claim we are better at receiver yet last year we were in the same situation our top receiver tyler hudson came in from Arkansas state and got over 1k yards, you also dont know amari huggens bruce and chris bell who will be studs and have been here for awhile also jeff brohm is known for no matter what pretty much always finding great wide receivers Cooley is a stud, just got beat out by jawar jordan Jeff brohm runs a pro style offence not nessisarily a pass heavy one, also i think a factor you should emphasize is the fact we bring 3/5 offensive line starters back including our best one bryan hudson we also brought in 4 transfers there I think it benefits louisville a ton more than you think, we have the same things yall have except brohm is getting called an ACC dark horse by some so the pressure is higher, we easily replace wide receiver we really just lost one player there and while we lost a ton on our D line we really shored up our secondary. -my opinion... I could see louisville losing but louisville i think 100% could blow this out there are really a ton of factors the biggest is on that louisville D line our secondary could be good and if they can get pressure King has shown he will fold and cooley cant do anything if he gets hit in the backfield (or at least he didnt at louisville) I think you also criminally underrate our receivers and brohms offensive mind but overall good vid definitely did your research my perdiction is 28-24 louisville.

We have to play damn close to mistake free football in all our games to have a chance IMHO. What you said about the L'ville QB rings true for us as well....lets run the ball and let King get comfortable with his team by throwing quick passes. Our D backfield is talented but they cant cover forever....we will need the D Line to make some plays...which will be tough if L'vill can start running the ball. Lots of big question marks for both teams.

YES! Ever since CPJ running has been our strength, I believe we need to lean on that all year. Estabilish ourselves as a dominant running team again and all will turn out well. Granted, I am biased, because I am a run first and pass second guy. I don't believe in passing as a way to win games, I know that in the modern age I am outdated with that view, but a power running team is one of the most effective and quickest ways to establish identities. Beyond that, I would say that we win this game because we are more willing to get dirty, and by that I mean our guys have been putting in the grunt work that no one likes to do. Not to say that Lousiville hasn't, but GT is not a program that is used to losing, these guys aren't used to losing, and they don't find it acceptable. The last three years have been the most painful experience for everyone, and I have no clue what Collins was doing in there, but it was bad for the team. In short, we win because we are the more physical team, and I think our offensive scheem will surprise some people. I have a theory that it is going to look at lot like what Southern Ran under Fritz, but that is just what I have seen from the spring game. Overall, I say the final score is closer than you, but not much more, 24-21 in our favor. With a late defensive stop to seal the win.

Until you realize Purdue had only won 3-4 games the previous three years before Brohm got there. It's not easy to win at Purdue and he took them from a team that had only won 3-4 games in three years to the freakin' Big 10 Championship.
