I am going to follow your lecture & if it works, you would have already changed my life. I love fufu but could never get a product that shoots my taste buds. Simply ingenious & Inspirational. This could change lives in West Africa.
Love your tutorial & have been researching ( this is my 3rd video) because I am craving homemade Fufu . I did purchase sometime back online but I prefer homemade for various reasons. I discovered that it is not a smooth process especially the cooking method ( I have arthritis & my wrists felt the pain ) so it will be helpful to mention ( sort of a disclaimer ) that to get the right results requires a lot of effort. Love the concept. Thank you for sharing.
Will try this method in Kenya, becoz we do use a different method,,(we peel ,try them under the sun till completely dry, then we grant/blend till it becomes so smooth flour, n then in to a boiling hot water we make the "ugali wa mihogo" by staring till it's ready for consumption..very sweet with stew fish, meat etc
you've done a very good job, thumb up, but as an African woman, you should display more about how to mould your in an African way as this is my favorite part.
Thanks for the video but when j teied this, my fufu came out very soft like pap, it wasnt elastic at all. You cant even mold it. I wonder what i did wrong, is there any advise you can give to correct that?

estás de parabéns, mas nós em Angola fizemos o funge de bombó, com fuba seca, em pó.
We do eat fufu made with cornmeal as well.
In Nigeria they eat that too. But not often.
Very good
thanks
I don't eat fufu but with what i just saw now i we eat this over and over again 😅😂😂😂😂
Very good fufu. Can you or someone explain why it has to put a way in water for 3 days? WHY???
That's for fermentation, either you do that way or blend it immediately after peeling, but the fermented one is better

This species used contains cyanide unlike variants in Kenya and Ghana, hence the fermentation gets rid of the cyanide which is dangerous.
As a Kenyan, i have to do this
That will be great, thanks so much for watching
With that method can't I add in salt for tasting?

No, you don't need to change the water, just cover it and leave it to ferment.
Thax,
You are welcome
Hi do you have to ferment it before you make it, or can you just boil it after you peel and wash it?
