It’s an air actuated five speed that uses a torque converter instead of a clutch. The converter helps soften the hit. Also has an endless amount of gear ratio options compared to a hand full with a turbo 400.
Great job Justin!! You got to hang of the new trans fast. Car runs straight and is quick for sure. I hope you make it to NPK in Illinois in July! Keep that thing together and keep kicking A$$!.
Yes indeed, this video is most excellent Justin. Many of us know and understand the Liberty since it was used extensively in pro stock for many years. However, there are many of your fans and subscribers who may not know. Thanks for sharing more information and 'How it Works' about the components of the SWANGANG NPK PreNup car. Thumbs UP!
One suggestion if I could but I don't know if you have thought about it. After your burnout can you open your driver side door while going back before your pre-stage? By the time you get to that point the smoke would be out of the cockpit, you passenger door be opened at this point and even less smoke, make your adjustments and head in to pre-stage. I used to do that when I was crew member of 2 race cars

How is the trans programmed to shift? By time? By rpm? Not asking your specific trans tune just what generally decides when it shifts. Thanks enjoy your videos.

Can you run the front extender ?Martin would trip the timer before you if you were bumper to bumper even. I thought you said in one of the build vids you thought they looked like shit? I'm from OK but you're my guy! No homo!
There's a spec dimension for center of front wheel to front of the car. Most likely if the PreNup is not at that dimension Justin will have the 'dongle' installed. He's gotta take advantage of EVERY rule and keep the PreNup run'n Apples to Apples ya know :)

If that's the pass you broke the pro charger and you say it was slipping through the converter then they better watch out cause you can see it was side by side glad too see you guys got a handle on new set up so fast

I've asked before Justin but why is the driveline universal joint not fully enclosed so no parts can enter your area in case of it coming apart? Parts wizzing around at 9,000 Rpms doesn't sound like fun
