maybe it's just me but it seems like the 405 is just kind of lost some of its swagger. not sure what regards it that it has lost some of it. but it just feels a little different from the early days of street outlaws when it started.
@@seanhall5024 The outlaws got too focused on whose cheating now, instead of how can I beat them now. The basic details around Doc and Monza's friendship disappeared from the show. Dave Comstock has a lot more calm demeanor in 2022 "America's List" which shows him understanding that winning with cheating has been recognized as a short term theatrical thing and not a good long term thing. Overall, Chief got a lot more grief from everyone as he saw potential in his friends and tried to help them achieve more. Everyone looked on that as "not my friend favoritism" instead of as team play that would both help people achieve more, and provide the impetus to the others, to do the work. Shawn has provided a nice calm demeanor to the "America's List" show, and Jeff Lutz has helped a lot of things go better.

Beautiful brother. Glad they are able to use some of the old car. Excited to see the finished product. But would like to see you one day build an all steel street car. Really wish street racing would go back to the roots. Factory all motor cars.

Kye, Thanks for taking us on this build/journey with you and the new Shocker. More of us appreciate seeing this than you may realize. Definitely do something to make the OG parts stand out, maybe paint them a different color or have someone do some airbrushing or something.

I remember this guy when he was first on Street Outlaws and never would of thought he was gonna be one of the best Racers out there. A legend in the making! He has it all,some of baddest cars and respectfully, one of the coolest and most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.
I wouldn’t doubt if their children are gonna be the fastest on the strip one day with those genes 🧬 👍🏼💯😁

The car looks great, those guys are definitely on point with the fabrication skills. Looks like the heavy lifting is done so it's on to all the tedious details like hanging the doors and nose and building the window receiver lips and mounting all the components and on and on. So much work goes into these cars that no one even thinks about when they complain about the amount of time it takes to build one. I can't wait to see it out ripping!

I'm a 405'er always (born and lived here all my life mainly),but you sir are in my top three favorite drivers, and the Og Shocker was my all time favorite car! Hopefully the new Shocker is just as badass(with you behind the wheel, I'm sure it will be)! You put out the best Content on UA-cam out of all the Street outlaws!!! Keep doing you Kye, hopefully you claim that we'll deserved No prep kings championship this season or next. Rooting for you bud. I hate to say it tho, you might have to give nitrous up to best Ryan . Kye, your new jungle jim looks amazing welds are looking beautiful. I absolutely love the fact that you had them use a few pieces of tubing from the OG Shocker in the new car. That’s extremely important to any racer who owns and builds their own cars. Can’t wait to see this one “out sixty-foot” every car that lines up next to you. Listen I was genuinely devastated for you when I heard/saw Shocker destroyed. Car is/was history, an Icon & street royalty....like the Lutz 57..even a hater would agree...& she'll never be replaced...that being said I'm so Effing STOKED to see this new build. She'll be safe & be putting foot to Ass real soon.

Man I'm glad your building another shocker that car is a legend in street racing I grew up in Chalmette not far from da pad. I did a Lil street racing back in the 70s 80s and in the 90s when I lived in south Florida street racing was super big there in the 90s I had a big block Chevelle i raced back then I'm putting a big block together right now for My g body just something to play with.cant wait to see the progress on the shocker keep us up dated your friend from Louisiana Rick 427 .

I like the way they finished the upper rail on the front and tied it in for preload.

That's awesome, the 3rd gens are really underrated. You should shock the world and paint it red or something they normally wouldn't see you in.
Kye it don't matter what anyone else thinks if it means something to you to have parts from the OG Shocker then that's all that matters do what you need to do to try and fill part of that void be safe and good luck
