    I got one of these tents in January used it several times through the spring and summer not tried it as a hot tent yet but found as a tent to be excellent I normally unzip the sides of the door and use a stick to form a porch.
    The tent has been used in several downpours and I found it to be very waterproof only issues I've had are if you pitch it on uneven ground it seems very hard to get it symmetrical.

    • @BoltonMaverickoutdoors
      @BoltonMaverickoutdoors  Рік тому +1

      If I'm on uneven ground I pitch either lower or higher but in winter needs to be as low as possible try it with a tripod made from branches not bad for the money thanks for watching 110 adventures greatly appreciated

      It all depends on how much weight you would like to carry I have several stoves from old steel ones to titanium fold flat stoves they all come with chimneys some you roll up and some which are solid pipes it depends on your needs and budget there are budget friendly stoves on amazon the titanium fold flat ones are quite expensive you will also need a stove jack for the tent I think amazon sell them

    Lovely little drop that mate! You got some great gear, I dunno how you fit it all in. I usually hike about 5km before setting up camp which really makes my kit minimal. Take care pal

    If you are bringing winter sleeping bags, winter mats, extra clothing, perhaps chairs, etc it would have to be a short hike as Pomoly Manta is 14 lbs packs down to 25 inches long, and the Winnerwell nomad stove is 28 lbs! For us, it’s typically car camping in the winter, even with a titanium stove etc, largely because of the pack size and extra stuff

      @@BoltonMaverickoutdoors How much does this tent weigh without the pole? One could just use a hiking pole instead! Did you test this in really cold weather to see how much air seeps in from the bottom? I find that if your sitting in the tent the upper half of the tent is toasty , but cold air freezes your feet !

    • @BoltonMaverickoutdoors
      @BoltonMaverickoutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      It's not cold enough yet check the tent out on amazon its pretty lightweight but its not a tent for seriously cold weather I live in the UK the coldest it gets is minus 10° c and that's rare

    Cautions, the material is not ripstop. I bought on of these tents set it up in the garden to test it's waterproofness and it ripped itself apart with the winds. Seriously the material is not up to it in my opinion. Possibly best spending a few more pounds on another brand.

      @@druid4243 superb my friend, I may have been unlucky but on mine it started ripping so easily ( due to it not being ripstop material) that I personally would not consider it. A cheap Vango tent would outlast this for years in my opinion. But good luck to you and I hope yours outlast mine.
