    Chet, the Ram you have is described as the ruck built for millionaires! You will discover the most luxurious pick-up truck ever built! You will think this truck is fit for a king when you see the detail and craftsmanship the designers at Ram carefully invested here in this Ram Longhorn. Our farm hands decided they liked a different water, and they have gone niuts for it, can't keep it in stock, and they al belong in the nut house anyway! We now all drink Liquid Death Sparkling Mountain Water, 16.9 oz Tallboys (18-Pack). Dougo's great boat purchase, as you know, the 2 happiest days of a boat owner's life: The day he buys it, and the day he sells it.

    Get an Air Over Hydraulic jack for the shop press. It makes it slick for the first part of the pressing, and you can go Hand Pumped for delicate work. 22:31

  • @jimmoles6250
    @jimmoles6250 8 місяців тому

    Worked on outboards for many years. You do pressure AND vacuum tests on the lower units to make sure that the oil stays in, and the water stays out. Running any mechanism submerged in water, is just about the worst environment possible, and the heating / cooling of the unit is just double jeopardy, makes it really hard to keep things pure. Boats are lots of fun, but are, by their very nature, a hole in the water you dump money in to.

    I highly recommend buying the bank pedal monster! It gets rid of the nasty dead pedal that ram has because they switch to the electronic throttle system. and doesn’t screw with the stock ECM. I have it on my 1 ton ram it’s a world of difference for throttle response.

    As @Allanjohnson8318 said, center of the roof will give you the best range, 360 degrees around the truck. It appears you tucked the antenna cable under the front window pillar trim. You may find that allows water to enter behind the trim and may cause a leak and future early rusting.
    While magnetic antenna mounts are handy for easy installation, over time you will find that the magnet will attract grit which will embed itself into the paint. In a couple of years you will end up with a rusty roof under that mag mount. Just drill a hole in the roof in using a proper antenna hole saw. The antenna will work better and properly installed it will not leak. Just use a 1/4 wave whip instead of that "Stealth" antenna. Get a black one and you wont see it and it flexes when hit. When you trade, just let the antenna go with the truck.
    Just my 2 cents, 40 years as a radio (Motorola) dealer.

I hang mine ogg the rearview mirror, yes it dances around but i fell its better then screwing the dash on new vehicles. Plus you dont need to futz putting the mic in a holder just let it go and its back in its home area.

    Love the 3500 ram dodge pickup. Nice unit. The midland radio you put in is a good space saver. The speaker is in the mike. Nice radio. Good job Brody and Chet on the install.
    Eric has the tillage tool ready for spring work. All fixed up. Time to put away for the winter. Welcome back Eric.
    Brody’s lift has not arrived yet. He will be surprised. Can’t wait to see his face.
    Dougo boat motor now has a lower seal out and water in the lower unit. Back in the day when i had a boat I let a boat mechanic do my motor work. If you do not know the motor you are better off letting them work on it. Those motors can be pretty touchy to work on. Dougo just let them do the repairs. You will be better off.
    About all for now. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
