- Here's the play through for Libera from our 2017 record Urn. A huge thank you to Zildjian cymbals for sending me the entire K series to use in this series, it's amazing how diverse these cymbals are. From extreme metal to light jazz...
Very happy with this mix personally, good guy John Douglass killed this one for me. This is what my drums sound like, and it's replicated nicely on this track. As usual, there are no samples on the snare or toms, they are all natural, and it seems a lot of people are going this way once again also which is great to see. Viva la naturale. This track is all one take also, with no quantizing. and I always try keep it that way for the flow of the video. I really hope you enjoy this one.

Well, you have to take into consideration that what you are hearing is a drum heavy mix of the recorded performance with all of the edits and samples. He did nail it though!
@@Abyrne777 there is no edits, its one take, with no editing. if i put up edited videos im transparent about that :)
Oh that's not what I meant. I am assuming that the audio in the video is from the actual album, and that you are playing along to yourself. I am quite positive that in this day and age it is highly unlikely that albums are released with zero post production work involved.
Abyrne777 what you see is me playing, in my home studio, tracked over album guitars/bass/etc stems. yes, every single album that’s ever been recorded has some kind of post work. has been the case for decades..
Ne Obliviscaris very quickly became my favorite band last year and still is. Hope to see more play throughs soon :D

@@markbond08 mix of ankles and calve muscles i think, hes basically dribbling his pedal just like a basketball, the swivel helps to maintain momentum i believe.

Why don't u use the second snare anymore? That was so great in the portal of i. Not many metal drummers have that. Plz bring that double snare back! And the rides kinda disappear in this mix. Otherwise the sound is good and the playing also like always.
