- Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi, is a Japanese only game made by Capcom released in 2015, which is basically a fusion of Devil May Cry and Warriors games, and it totally outshines almost all the Warriors games! (at least imo)
So, I and my great team is finally working on a English Translation Patch to bring the game overseas! Here's a glimpse into the updated main menus and the battle preparation screens and some gameplay.
We're also currently looking for: More translators, Graphics Designers, Coders for adding subtitles do in-engine cutscenes, Video Editors and other people people to help us out in the project

Q: How will the patch will be released?
A: It'll be split into 3 stages:
1st: will be released when all of the UI and names and stage UI and maybe even tutorials will be translated
2nd: will be released when all of the dialogue + story + prerendered cutscenes are translated (maybe split into individual character stages, because the way stage dialogue is separated is cancer, or maybe stage dialogue will be a separate stage of its own)
3rd: will be when all the in-engine cutscenes will be translated and subbed (this one's last because we don't know how to atm)
Q: How much of the patch is completed?
A: In total? 20%. Current stage? 70%.
Q: Will the patch be released for PS4?
A: Yes, the team's planning on working on the PS4 version after we finish the PS3 version, it shouldn't be that hard anyways, majority of the files are the same.
Q: Any roadmap available?

Q: When will the patch be released?
A: These are all estimates, but pretty close ones in my opinion:
1st stage will be released prolly Christmas 2021 or Early 2022
2nd stage will be released prolly Late 2022 or Early 2023
3rd stage release date is unknown at the moment, but I guess we'll try to translate and add subtitles to recordings of rendered cutscenes which have dialogue
Q: Will you be translating other Basara games like Utage or the 2 SB2 games?
A: The Utage translation is in developement hell atm (made by LeoArts), we can't find the text files, and he's currently busy atm
As for 2 Heroes, PS2/Wii version files are a mess, and the HD Collection's text files might be encrypted and archived so once those are decrypted, we'll do something about it, even though 4S translation is our biggest priority

Basara 3 was relatively easy to manage because of the chip system for the weapons. All you had to do was learn what each did and you could go off the image. The weapon upgrade system for 4 was much more involved and required much more translation. I probably spent more time looking shit up than I did playing the game.

Sometimes i was wondering why TF basara developer teams didn't translate their games with english language...
They could sell more if they did...
capcom is pretty bad at localizing their games that they think won't sell well
They did it with the old ones, but they didn't sell well here, so they stopped producing the Sengoku Basara line here, but if you search for devil kings you will find some in English
@@shyguychiquito483 what they failed to realize is that the reason why the english versions didn't sell well here was because of the absolutely abysmal localization job done by them. Devil Kings is an absolute travesty
