thanks for posting this. i bought this game at an anime con bc im a big fan of 3 samurai heroes and devil kings, been going through the previous japanese games. this helped with the main menus a lot.
Well...I had already uploaded a video like this, year's ago on my PS3 version...I have this game 3 times....I have Sengoku BASARA 4 and then Sengoku BASARA 4 Sumeragi on my PS3 and now I have Sumeragi again on my PS4. No one watches my PS3 videos on this game because of the terrible quality....I've been playing this game since 2014 when it came out in Japan. I had all mine imported though....Also it's real simple to learn after a while, if you're new to it, it'll take a bit to get the hang of it....

I just bought the game on Amazon, it's still arriving, but I really needed a grasp of the menu before it arrived because me and my girlfriend are fond of this game, me because it's been my whole childhood (basara 3), and my loving gf is starting with basara 4, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart

Well, I do have guides and have done guides on this entire game years ago and since I've had to start over on this game about 4-5 times...I no longer have the stuff/levels and such that I do or did in this video...My old PS4 hard drive corrupted on me back on November 8th, 2020 due to Sony's 8.00 update and I have over 50 PS4 games and lost data for all of them and because of that, only some games I started again about maybe only 21 of them...So I'm still working on maxing my favorite characters out again for this...I'm a busy woman and don't always have time to play stuff. I also own this game twice on my PS3, too and my PS3 version to SB4S is maxed out with everything and all of my favorite characters are at level 999 there. So that's why I'm not in a rush to get my PS4 version to the same level...but I have restarted my character guides just last month on the 21st. Also if you need help with any characters or such, I'll have to give you the Link to my video/video's myself since all of my playlists are permanently set to private due to people stealing my video's, spamming and harassing me on said video's and due to an agreement that I made with YT back in February of 2021...So like I said, I'll help you when and *if I have the time* to do so...

Eh, I love this series and the characters and don't mind helping others out, who also share my love and passion for the games, so it's fine really. Also in order to unlock *Basara* and *Heaven* difficulties, you have to clear a stage on *Hard Difficulty* first. Clearing a stage on the previous difficulty will unlock the next difficulty. So if you want to unlock Basara Difficulty, clear any stage on Hard Difficulty/難しい and if you want to unlock Heaven Difficulty/天, clear any stage on Basara Difficulty and that's how you do it, or at least how it worked for me and that's how I did it. Also I know you don't know, but my old main PS4 console hard drive corrupted back on November 8th, 2020 and I lost everything. So I no longer have maxed out characters and other things unlocked. I still have everything on my PS3 version, but my PS4 version has been reset and I'm having to start over for a 4th time on this game...So also due to me having to deal with a lot in my everyday real life (dealing with my grandfathers passing last year to cancer and having to put down my 17yr old cat back in May of last year, dealing with cøvid in June to July, being in the hospital 3 times for viral/bacterial infections last year and then being sick with phargistis for the last week this year) I haven't been able to put too much time into this game again....However, I have picked it up and I'm hear if you need any guidance...Just *forgive me* if I seem hesitant to speak to *newcomers* on my Channel...It's mainly due to the fact that I've been through a lot on here, from people stealing my profile name/channel name, profile picture, entire channel description, video descriptions and even some video's themselves, to people stalking and harassing me via livestreams and spamming spam comments on video's over 30+-50+ times in a row, to people calling me a *male* when I'm really a *female* as well as them putting *laugh emoji's* in the comments on a post of me talking about my grandfather's passing. So I'm stressed out when it comes to *new people* popping up out of nowhere. I do try to keep an *open mind* because not everyone is like that and I know that, but even still, I'm still weary of it, since I've dealt with worse in my real life and even more so on here at times and it spikes my stress level and anxiety and I feel like people are lying to me and trolling me about 80% of the time. Thing's have been calm and fine for a while...but last year was the worst year of my life and this year has been hard, too...However, I'm glad that my video's have helped you and I also have guides on individual characters as well. Covering their entire moveset as well as their weapons and pretty much everything else. The only thing is, all of my playlists are set to *private* due to a *warning strike* that I received years ago for a playlist that had Markiplier, JackSepticEye, Game Grumps and others videos in it...Apparently, YT said that it was set to *public* and that kids could see it and that the videos were a threat to kids and struck me for it, which is unfair to me in my opinion, since the video's weren't even mine. Even so, as an agreement, I locked all of my playlists off permanently. So if you want something on a character? You just have to find them in the stage yourself is all I can tell you. When you're on the *Stage Select* screen, if there's a *Fugitive* in that stage, the *Fugitive Symbol* will appear on the stage during the stage selection, as I've shown many times before....Once in the said stage, you need to look for a *Purple Fugitive Helmet* Symbol and go and find them, where the symbol appears. Once you encounter them, they'll try to flee and you must defeat them quickly to claim them for that Stage and Difficulty Level, in which there is 5 difficulty levels in the game.
Thank you for making this video. If I may, can I ask about the highscore table, specifically the one at 13:06. How can I max out a character? I've been using my favorite character for about 13 hours and he's only on the 29th rank for some reason.
Sorry, all I can tell you is to just play...It takes forever to reach 999, but since my PS4 hard drive corrupted back in November, I'm stuck having to start all over for a 4th time...So all of my characters are back at level 1...I often would replay the Takeda Otoko Dojo stage on the last challenge, the *Golden Tiger Challenge* and you also earn in-game money by doing so, but you need to have all 5 difficulties unlocked in order to try the *Golden Tiger Challenge* though...
@@SovereignSage Thanks for the dojo suggestion, and sorry to hear about your corrupted drive! That always hurts, especially when you pour your heart and soul into a game like this. If possible, try making a backup for your saves on an external hard drive - that should mitigate any losses you might get if the ps4 drive ever corrupts again.
So far, I'm enjoying the game so more grinding on my character won't hurt in order to max them out. I already unlocked all the stages and working on the fugitive bingo as I pass through the difficulty levels (Currently on the 4th difficulty) and it's a blast so far.

No, external hard drives don't work on my systems and I've already spent over $100 trying to do that already and nothing worked and I kept getting errors and the system didn't want to access the external hard drive and wouldn't save my data to it. I lost close to 4yrs of save files for 36 different games that each had over 300-500-1,000+ hours of playtime on each of them....People keep spamming me with questions to help with this and that and I no longer can help with anything and it's stressing me out more than I already am.
@@SovereignSage Are you playing on a ps4? If so, any external hard drive should work. I'm using a 1TB Western Digital drive for my save data, screenshots & video clips and it's been working great so far. I just had to format it with the exFAT system and my ps4 was able to detect it.
I was using 1TB external hard drives and I did format them and my system kept telling me that it couldn't save screenshots nor save data to the 2 $50 boxes I bought. I even had to take them back and get my money back for them because they wouldn't even work on my laptop...I only play on PS4 and I've tried everything...I don't care anymore and I'm done talking about this already. I'm too stressed out to deal with this.

I can't unfortunately, since I already have videos showing that. All characters are already unlocked by default. All you have to do is play through any characters Sengoku Creation Route's or Drama Routes numerous times to unlock all of the stages. That's all I can suggest.

No, this is a (Japan Only Game) and it's not even available in the West. Since it's a (Japan Only Game) it was never "Dubbed" or "Translated", since it never left Japan and was never made for the West (People Outside of Japan).
Amazon has the craziest prizes, 254 dollars for the game, while in play asia it's 29,49 euros.
I got mine for $45-$50 years ago back in 2016, about 2yrs after it came out in Japan.

Nah, where I'm from new games are always $50-$60 and no less. Even used games are $30-$40. Some go for $20, but they're usually $30 on up. Even PS4 controllers are $50 used and new.
So “Sengoku Creation” basically story mode right?
Well, that's what it is...Some characters have 3 "Routes" though, as where all characters have 2 Routes. Those being "Sengoku Creation Route" and "Drama Route". Only about 8 characters have an "Anime Route" though and only 8 of them, not all of them.
Have the game autosave or I need to do this manually? How can I know if is saving?
It says "Saving" at the upper right of the screen with a blue swirl icon. It saves on it's own after you clear any stage or do anything, unless you quit the game in the middle of a stage and don't finish it.
