    Thanks for all your tips. As a longtime sculptor, I have learned the hard way to wear a mask and having good ventilation when sanding the finished object. The tiny clay particles can be very dangerous when inhaled.

    Thank you for your fabulous instructions and inspiration. I love to throw my dressing gown on when traveling around Australia during winter. People look at me when in MacDonald's or rest stop cafes at 5 am in my dressing gown. So I typed into UA-cam " turn my dressing gown into a bohemian jacket." That's how I found you. That's a blessing. So I'm sending you a Distance Reiki blessing. Breathe deep and catch it. Xxxx❤❤❤

    So happy I found your channel. I am a first time air dry clay user. My grandson told me for his dad's birthday he loves dragons. Yeah, I chose the hardest thing to start with. After researching for over a week, the dragon eye is attached to the top of mix media wooden box covered in black gesso. Now I must paint. The clay has dried for 3 days. DAS is the clay i used. Do I prime with gesso first? Black or white? Colors of acrylic paint are red, his favorite color and the rest I will wing it.
    I have watched many of your videos and you are a true artist ❤

    Does someone have any tips/methods for drying clay products? (I usually make small and flat ones)
    I have a small apartment and trying to fit with my creating into some corner, so I find drying process which I think should last 1-4 days troublesome. The air in my flat is dusty too, so I'm afraid of letting clay products collecting dust while they're lying and drying.
    Do you hide your project for dry in cabinets (I think it's too low air flow)? Do you cover it with something? Should I turn them over other side? Is there a good or bad surface for drying clay?

    I bought a lot of beginner's products and I don't even know what to change: clay (Das), varnish (Allony) or paints (acrylic, Inklab). Does anyone have any advice on that?

    Hi. I see you have a clay pot in the end of your vid that has the natural look. How do you finish air dry clay that you want to maintain a more 'natural clay' look? I tried some matte sealants, acrylic mostly, and they still leave a bit of a low sheen to me, which is not desired when I want my clay to have that authentic/ earthenware/fired clay non-glazed look. When I just paint them to attain that, with no sealant, they paint always gets a chip or two fairly easily.

    • @IvettDIY
      @IvettDIY  Місяць тому +1

      I totally get that struggle. The most matte sealant that I’ve tried is deco arts dura clear ultra matte varnish. Make sure it’s the ultra matte and not the regular matte. It does have the tiniest sheen to it, but far less than any other matte sealer that I’ve tried. It’s the only one that I will ever use now.

    • @Krysda225
      @Krysda225 Місяць тому

      @@IvettDIY Awesome! Thanks for that. One thing I recently discovered that I tried out just today was nail polish remover. I gently wiped one of my items that I sealed last week with acrylic sealant. And while it took some sheen away, I'm wondering, won't that just dissolve the acrylic varnish altogether? I just dabbed it enough to dull the shine. Hoping I didn't rub it all off. Lol. I'll have to see how it impacts the paint, though, in the long run. So far, it looks fine. Thanks again!

    • @IvettDIY
      @IvettDIY  Рік тому +2

      Das is good for making coasters. Although it would dissolve if wet. You would have to find a sealer that is waterproof. I know some people use resin to make their clay waterproof, but I’ve never done it.
