When I was in HS(around the early 2000's), my art instructor told us to draw anything we wanted but using a unique and personal way. Everyone was going for charcoal, natural pigments and some seed extracted color too. I chose make up and coffee. Our instructor asked me what I used because he liked the color combinations and he said he liked the idea of using coffee and that he will try it himself. I was so proud of that at that time. 😁😁😊😊
I tried the speckled technique and coffee colouring for my pinch pot. The final result is very beautiful ! Also I use liquid varnish and surprisingly the colour doesn't smudge. I would recommend to go carefully with fully loaded brush where the painted part ends. Also go from the non coloured to coloured area of the piece will help to not smudge it.
Oh, my, I can't decide which is my favorite! I will have to try each one. I really loved how you etched those trays- I will probably try them first!! Thanks for sharing these beautiful projects!
wow!!! love the idea of mixing coffee granules with clay!!! how genius!! and coffee paint?! impressive!!! and i love how easy they seem to be and the result is so aesthetic!
Yesterday I bought a pack of air dry clay and I'm trying to see what I can create with it, this video has been really helpful and gave me some inspiration!
That's my question also another Ladies video said if you use mod podge it will get wet or bubble out side from the heat she uses deco art dura clear satin varnish.
Yes! This seals the clay and makes it waterproof. I wouldn’t advise using resin, 1. Because it’s not biodegradable. it’s also super toxic for you as well as the environment and 2. Because glaze works awesome already!
You can waterproof air dry clay with certain sealers meaning you can use it for projects where it will be exposed to water or you can use polymer clay which is plastic based and is waterproof when baked
I love all the pieces. Einfach wünderschön! The tall vase with the handle ist super nietlich! Well done! I hope to see much more of these beautiful creations! Vielen Dank!💚
If you use something like Total Boat air dry clay it will withstand grinding, sanding, heat, AND water! Its a 2 part epoxy clay made for chips in boats and seacrafts however I use it for earrings and pipes!
Thank you! I often take them out before the clay is fully dry. But in this case I used a very soft plastic container, so I could leave it in, as it allowed the clay to shrink enough.
i hv a question please, if I try this one and make it for a plate or glass for eat is it possible? Or do I have to paint it first?
air dry clay isn't safe to be in contact with food sadly :( you can only use it for decoration
@@javitot9137thank you for the information, that's very helpful
@@nwcay don't worry i'm glad i could help n_n💜
I think there might be food safe glaze that you can paint over it but not 100% sure on that either lol
@@javitot9137 do you know about plants though? I want to make bonsai pots but I’m not sure if they’ll harm my trees
Как здорово всё продумано, столько много приемов лепки вы нам показали! Нам нужно только повторить❤ спасибо🎉
The rectangle plate was our fave and the rainbow plate was fun

If you used glaze or resin, would that make the clay pieces waterproof??? Just a question loved the video xx
That's my question also another Ladies video said if you use mod podge it will get wet or bubble out side from the heat she uses deco art dura clear satin varnish.
I also want to know that! ❤️
This is what i’ve been trying to find out too!!’
I hope someone would answer this question

Wonderful! 🤎
Beautiful, I do a lot of coffee painting and I also use it for staining, but I use a spray sealant, any moisture it get exposed to, it will run.
I love all the pieces. Einfach wünderschön! The tall vase with the handle ist super nietlich! Well done! I hope to see much more of these beautiful creations! Vielen Dank!💚

you are sooo creative. thank you for your technic. greeting from turkey 🥰
Beautiful work. Really nice.
Can one do it with regular clay and regular glazes plus firing in pottery kiln?
No that wouldn't work because the coffee would burn in the kiln. But you can use spotted clay ;)
Thank you for this video, I'm going to make this too, and maybe I'll do it even with the kids in my classroom! Much love❤️
Wow these look amazing, congratulations ❤
Beautiful and genious ideas

GORGEOUS!
Brilliant video. I am new to pottery. How did you remove the cup and bowl after moulding? Thank you x
Thank you! I often take them out before the clay is fully dry. But in this case I used a very soft plastic container, so I could leave it in, as it allowed the clay to shrink enough.
Love them , thanks for sharing
I never thought you could use coffee for something like this
Love them all 💕
Beautiful creations and nice presentation
Amazing. but how does the color of the coffee dry out??
Loved it a lot !!!! Thanks so much
Whoa...really loved all of these. I wish trying soon.
I like how simple and cute everything looks! Also, what type of “table board” do you use when working with clay?
In the video I use a desk matt from ikea :) but I also like working on a wooden board that I covered in fabric, like a wedging board.
Seriously, it's just beutifaul!! I'm going to try it:) thanks!!
