    From Epiphone:
For over 70 years, the classic Epiphone Broadway has been considered the ultimate hollowbody jazz guitar. Now, this legacy-rich instrument has a beautiful Vintage Sunburst finish with Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, a vintage-styled, gold Frequensator Split Trapeze tailpiece; and Wilkinson tuners. Gold hardware and other fine appointments like mother-of-pearl and abalone fretboard and headstock inlays add to the subdued class of this versatile archtop. Includes Premium Gig-Bag.

I own a 1950 Broadway Regent and absolutely love it...this newer version sounds great !!

  • @furtherdefinitions1

when Epiphone was its own company and competing with Gibson, their scale was always 25.5" so I wouldn't call it a Fender scale, as Fender didn't exist when Epiphone was making their classic archtops

  • @bigbird1006

Wonderful sounding when switch to neck

  • @donnymac575

I really like how to tell it like it is, both good and bad, for each guitar reviewed 😊.

  • @DrJeebles

Since John brought up putting some distortion on a guitar like this, I will mention Tim Armstrong from Rancid has been playing a fully hollow Gretsch for a very long time. Another example of finding a guitar you love and figuring out how to do what you want with it.

Nice jazz box. Smooth and creamy with some good grit to boot.

  • @TropicalLatitude

Beautiful in red. Sounds great with 12s! Broadways have always seemed better made than other Epi's.

    Excellent review.

Btw great review. A LOT was covered in a short amount time. Thank you

  • @michaelcharles5358

Thank you for showing what this guitar is capable of. I've seen so many reviews where the tone is rolled off and neck pick up is strangled. A guitar like that doesn't have to have flat wounds and sound like it's under water, it's great to see someone give it some drive, it sounded great.

Nice review. Lovely playing as well. Guitar looks good

  • @FrankJamesMusic

    Great Demo.. Great Guitar! Thanks.

  • @thelowmein9143

Almost perfect, but I personally would have paid an extra 1-200$ for a rosewood or ebony neck.

  • @Furtheronmusic

I'm pleased to see they've at least not turned their backs on the full sized classic jazz guitar which Gibson sadly have done I recent years, es175 discontinued etc.

  • @jgz6989

Talk bout your classic jazz sound.......they certainly nailed it.

  • @agillan2930

Great review! I can't understand the silver knobs with the gold hardware...

  • @petercnixon

I think a lot of L5 and Gibson Super 400 guitars come with 25 1/2 inch scale so it's not unusual for a jazz box

  • @kennyblackbird5674

Gibson used categorize hollowbody electric guitars as a " cello guitar".
