I'm told my Apollo 110cc automatic kick start was to be going around 40mph but it seems way less. Looking it up doesn't seem to match with the info page of the bike and says it should be a semi-automatic. It has drive and neutral, which seems more like automatic not semi to me. Im watching all your videos on how to make pit bikes faster and how to clean the carb because mine doesn’t start up after it’s sitting in my garage for I’d say six months. @@AaronsEnduro but how do I know the center piece will fit? Like how do I get the size of the original gears middle part so I can buy one bigger and know it will fit.
So you’re looking for the centre spline size. Usually found in mm Every bike is different, so look up your bikes manual and see what spline shaft size it is and the pitch for the sprockets to match your chain size
@@AaronsEnduro “420*14T*Φ17 Engine small teeth” it says this for the spine shaft piece and this “14t x 43t = 428*108 Link Chain” for the chain, and it says this for the sproket “428*76*43 Sprocket” does any of this sound correct? Thank you I bought a new 19 tooth front sprocket I'll let you know what happens I also but I 17 and case of it didn't fit because the KTM I went to told me they have never put that big of a front sprocket on a pit bik
That is like way overkill to big of a front sprocket lol. Like 16/17 tooth max for a 125 pitbike. That things gonna outta its efficiency zone and be slow asf accelerating but have a higher top speed.
Hey man i read one of your replies saying that if its too highly geared it could overheat your engine with trail use i am getting a 16 front and 24 rear witch is very high butttttt.... i have 10 inch, wheels i know size wheels more or less change gear ratio although would the stress on the engine be the same?
The wheel size will change gearing yes, and having the smaller 10” wheels will reduce the engine load. Not only will having too high of gearing create unnecessary load on the engine, but the clutch too. This is something that will cause increased wear over time
@AaronsEnduro I have a 14 and 37 at the moment but I have the stock 70 sprocket on it with my 125 and I think I do more damage revving out in 4th and revving such short 1sts and 2nds. in trails I'm always half and half 3rd and 4th but when I get on a straight the power will run and out and on the roads and straights I can't even hold throttle full for 5 seconds without having to go half throttle cause it's revving out I think it will really unlock the 125 power and make 1st and second gear useful with a much needed top end
I had done both, but with the tall gearing and bigger wheels it bogged too much on hillclimbs . Ive since kept the big wheels, but whent back to a 14tooth front sprocket
Guys if y'all are actually looking for top speed (you will sacrifice bottom end torque) you can get a bigger front sprocket and a smaller rear sprocket and will give you twice its top end performance (you will loose a lot of torque tho)
Correct! This may be good for street use, but i don’t recommend going that tall in gearing for trail use. When you roll on full throttle at low rpm it with excessively tall gearing you’re putting extra load on the engine which can result in overheating
I noticed the swap was on a 150cc what do you recommend for the Apollo 125cc do you still recommend it the sprocket with 17 teeth and what chain? Thanks
@@AaronsEnduro okay thank you and I take it the opposite if I'm just using it in the backyard and the road or just dirt trails then I would go up to the 17 tooth sprocket. And I'm sorry what was it what chain did you recommend

Never too late to ask questions on my channel! This gearing mod showcased in this video will be the easiest amd cheapest top speed you’ll get out of your bike
@@AaronsEnduro basically if it lost torque it will bog down more on hills and if it gained torque it will be easier for it to do hill climbs or get to its top speed better like on the take off ( 1 gear it won’t bog down as much)
Then i would if anything just try going up one sprocket size in the front. If it feels better then leave it. If you miss the torque, go back to your original sprocket. Its like 15$ for a sprocket
Will it hit a hundred just by changing the sprockets I don't think so I know you know your bikes in and out but never happened this is before watching the video my opinion
Three screwdrivers, or actual tire removal tools. Remove all the air from the tire, Break the bead on one side, (lot of brute strength, and then folding the second bead over is even “funner”) its a pain in the @$$

Your bike will be faster top end but not much bottom end now and you need bottom for trail riding
Thats why i got a 150cc in it now. More bottom end 👀
What oil do you recommend? I own a apollo 125cc d18
I have the oil i use linked in my description!
I have a 2020 set 125 should I get a 420 or 428 and 17mm right?
Not all the bikes are the same. Look on your chain for the labeled stamp
@@AaronsEnduro ok I appreciate it
@ChanVlogs2x happy to help!
I have a 2020 125 RFZ I changed all my sprockets 17 front 37 rear but the carb sucks so bad and makes the bike run like garbage idk if I should get a carb kit rejet it or jus buy a new carb
@@ModDemon125cc get a genuine carb and itll run great
@@AaronsEnduro Yeuh that’s what I figured I have a 26mm mukuni or something but I think it might be to big
26mm is on the big side for a 125
I ran a 24mm and it ran sweet on my 125 and the 150 swap i did after
@@AaronsEnduro 24 huh 🤔 hm I am going to have to try this, thank you for the help 🤓 appreciate it 🫡
@ModDemon125cc i reached out to apollo motors and this is what they suggested to me! Worked great!
Did you know the new z20 max comes with 16 rear 19 front I wonder if they would fit on my 19?
The z20 max has an extended rear swingarm
It shares the same rear swingarm as an rxf model(not the rfz)
this will make first gear longer right??
Yes! It makes every gear longer
What’s the max amount of teeth that will fit? A 17?
You ride hard probably time to get the z20 it hold up way better in the conditions you ride in the Rfz isn’t really made to be beat on
Got something even better planned ;)
Aaron Greenway oh yeah can’t wait man I’ll be tuned in
Keep ur eyes peeled 👀 working towards our goal as the channel grows
Where can I get this?
linked in the description 16 tooth front sprocket - amzn.to/30trEMD
I've got a fuckin x pro x26. Just changed the 14 t sprocket to a fuckin 16t. Sadly of coarse lost fuckin torque and gained only about 9 mph . Good torque is good fun!
Torque is what throw’s you back in the seat!
Maybe its time to toss a 150cc in there!
That's an idea. Will look into that. Like, will it fit and or bolt up the same way. Thanks for that. Wasn't even a thought!

I have a 2014 apollo 125 007 I wanna do what you do
These bikes feels like they supposed to have a 5th gear I swear they ride faster than any regular 125
a 5th gear would be a ton of help. If you swap in the 160cc or 190cc engine you get 5th gear!
@@AaronsEnduro the 190 Is no longer available

Where I can buy what you just put to your bike
Ebay.con is where i got it
little late of a comment but I have a db-x4(110cc), what would you recommend for increasing top speed?
Never too late to ask questions on my channel! This gearing mod showcased in this video will be the easiest amd cheapest top speed you’ll get out of your bike
You could also get larger wheelset to increase top speed, but remember its a trade off, youll loose some acceleration to gain top speed
@@AaronsEnduro thanks! i have a little one and was wondering why it topped out at 30, felt it was a little slow but I will definitely try it out!
Those two mods are going to the the only mods to increase top speed without doing an engine swap
@@AaronsEnduro Ah nice, also where can I see he chain thing? I’m not sure which one to buy?
Where ya from? Gotta be a canadian brother. East coast?
Canadian indeed! but we have big tree's where I'm from 😉
Where's the follow up to this video wanting to see if the sprocket made a drastic change or just a minor one thanks
Watch my riding enduro videos and youll see that it helped out a lil until i got my big wheel swap
Did you upgrade chain?
@@randycarrillo96 yes
@@AaronsEnduro which one the 428?
@@randycarrillo96 go read what width sprocket/ chain set you have. its stamped in the chain
Which one is better x18 or a 007?
From what ive seen , the x-18
Have you had any problems with it?
The gear swap no!
@@AaronsEnduro very good to hear!
Does it pops up
How fast does it go now
Well ive since done a 150 swap in my bike
i looked everywhere to see part 2 of gearing change - so did it go faster at top of 4th gear, and if so from what to what- thx.
I have a link in the description and pinned top comment for part 2
Gave me an extra 10-15km/h
@@AaronsEnduro thank you, an increase like that would be plenty for me. that will be my next move....
Hell ya brotha!!
If I get 17 tooth I need upgrade my chain if so which one
chains are linked in the description
What about rear sprocket
I have a newer apollo RFZ Z MAX 20, I wonder if they are all the same.
Very likely!! I havent seen a bike that isint 17mm you can verify it by checking what chain size you have (420 or 428)
My only concern is if it picked up torque or decreased the torque bc I want to do some real riding, it would be very helpful if you could let me know
Sorry what exactly are you asking?
@@AaronsEnduro basically if it lost torque it will bog down more on hills and if it gained torque it will be easier for it to do hill climbs or get to its top speed better like on the take off ( 1 gear it won’t bog down as much)
That is correct. Its a trade off. What do you want more. Torque for hill climbs, or just overall top speed
@@AaronsEnduro I would like better top speed but I need lots of torque because I ride in sand and do a lot of hill climbs
Then i would if anything just try going up one sprocket size in the front. If it feels better then leave it. If you miss the torque, go back to your original sprocket. Its like 15$ for a sprocket
What was the name of the item you installed into the bike?
A front gear sprocket! Link pinned to top comment
Where do i get one
Links in the description!
Will it hit a hundred just by changing the sprockets I don't think so I know you know your bikes in and out but never happened this is before watching the video my opinion
It almost hits 100
Going up to tooth is fine
It’s perfect!
Can you show me how to change the tire i havent rode my bike in weeks 💔💔💔
Three screwdrivers, or actual tire removal tools. Remove all the air from the tire, Break the bead on one side, (lot of brute strength, and then folding the second bead over is even “funner”) its a pain in the @$$
Aaron Greenway Im tryna comprehend what to do but i have little to none knowledge about bikes so i know if i try to do what you said ima still end up in square 1 😭🤦🏽♂️
Id just take it to a shop then
What do I need upgrade so I can wheelie enough torque
Do you know what size you have on your bike currently
The less teeth on the front sprocket the more torque/acceleration you have
First thing I did was switch front and rear sprockets on our rfz dbx 18's and dbx19. Put a 17 front and 37 rear. You need the 14&17 tires tho. Can check out video on our rfz's on UA-cam. Search "all in one changes I've made to my apollo rfz. Ride safe...!
I have a set of 17/14” tires on their way 😎
