@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure Hi, I'm sure you have the patience of a Saint 😅 Most good coastal roads over here usually involve a little bit of wind and rain. . It should definitely keep the seat dry anyway
I don't know how you can be impressed by it lasting three years - I have a Oxford Rainex that tore in all the same places as yours - not UV resistant I think - £70 and it lasted just over a year. I could have bought seven cheap ones and changed them every year!
@@stevemills729 funny your sayong that as the one I bought is now knackered again. Frankly I am shocked! Absolute rip off. I say 3 years because the previous owner had it previously and it was in that shape when I got it. Just seemed to happen when I got it.
Thanks for watching. Yeah it was sold with the bike originally however it wasn't in that condition when I got it. The new one should last much longer if I lok after it.
Thank you for giving a useful long term use review, I have a cover which is completely made out of this metallic coloured material and it is dead after 2 years, what a disappointment.
@@CyrilHouillon well like most bike covers there rubbish. This new one is already showing crease signs. I'll be emailing the company that makes this soon of the rate of replacing it.
Yeah I was so disappointed too.. Going through oxford covers over and over. £50 is quite a lot of money for a bit of material - the silvery bit seems to just rip so easily after a year
@ivangutowski well the same thing happened again this year! 😡 The whole side is wrecked. Had to use duct tape to sort it out. Luckily that looks a lot better. Yeah the silver but seems to be it's Achilles heel! Just brakes off.
Get the Stormex cover , has the same top protection as the rainex but also has it on the sides as well which prevents it from coming apart. only a tenner more as well .
I am looking at getting the OXFORD RAINEX (XL) with topbox cover for my TIGER900 GT PRO which has a 55L alum topbox. My topbox has dimensions 480mm (Width left-to-right), 340mm (Height), 420mm (Depth front-to-rear). Would you mind checking what the RAINEX topbox cover cube-size is (W,H,D)? I cannot find any product info on the size of that cube-cover. Need to know if my 55L topbox will comfortably fit within that cube-cover. Thanks heaps.
It's a beautiful bike, gotta keep it well protected from the elements. . That cover looks very convenient for long distance or overnight road trips
Hi John. Yeah if you have the patience you can pack it up... I'm not so sure I have 😂

Nice review. I always throw a cheap cover first then put my Oxford 1 on the bike just gives it a little more rain protection.

That would make alot of sense. How much is that one?
Great review reminds me of my aquatex cover I've taped it up in places .Nice covers but the material tears easily .
Thanks Mahony. Yeah even the new one is showing crease marks unfortunately.
