Thanks for all you do Mr. Ross, At this point in time I can only watch Matches that you call. Fan since 90' You're the only person that can sell it & Bring it night in & night out.
Surprised nobody stated the obvious when discussing why Austin vs. Hart wasn't last. It wasn't for the WWF Championship. I know the title hasn't always gone on last. But I'm pretty sure the last match was a title match (or had the champ in a tag match) at 10 of the previous 12 Wrestlemanias. If Bret vs. Sid was for the WWF title, it would have been last. All 4 guys were main event material at this point, even if Bret and Sid were the only ones to main event a WM before.
Why did Conrad ask that question at 15:25 knowing that the real main event was suppose to be Bret vs Shawn #2 but Shawn lost his smile. It was suppose to be Bulldog vs Austin.
This is when wrestling was at its absolute best, the storylines the feud between the WWF and WCW kept me at the edge of my seat every Monday night and when it comes to wrestlemania 13 Brett Hart versus Austin was the redeeming factor of what would’ve been a terrible pay-per-view… this was when WWF was getting more edgier to compete with the WCW with the NWO angle and also ECW was gaining a lot of momentum during this time as well and McMahon knew this so he had to push the envelope when it came to storytelling
Bret vs Austin at WM13 will forever be in my top 3 matches of all time. Absolutely outstanding storytelling and performance and at the Rosemont Horizon, Chicago.... Jim was was on top of his game too and I remember his saying, Ohhh he's busted! he's busted wide open. Those were the days man!
I want conrad to react when jim finishes a certain story.. And not instantly Continuing the interview without reacting to what ross just said, it's pretty annoying honestly.
@Mister Brash Main Event Sid vs The Undertaker for the WWF Title,Bret vs Shawn with Michaels' hair on the line lol and Stone Cold vs The Bulldog it was apparently supposed to be
He didn’t need it. He has talent that Hart could never have. You can count bretts 5 Starr classics on 2 hands at best. You need several other hands to count Shawns. Brett had good matches with the occasional classic. Shawn had great matches with a classic every other month.
@Mister Brash Mankind vs HBK, Angle vs HBK, HBK vs Cena. Calling the in-ring HBK's work a bunch of no-sense spotfest without psycholgy it's a shame. Only Haters said that about Shawn. Outside the ring it wasn't best for sure, but he always haved the jam. Bret said that multiple times, be objective.
Shawn easily out performed Brett jn just about every way. Brett never had a decent match after SS 97. He has never had a match as good as any of Shawn/taker match’s. Hbk’s match with angle at WM was another match Brett couldn’t touch. Triple threat at WM 20 yet another classic that Brett can’t touch. The list goes on and on. With Brett it starts with perfect and ends with Austin and doesn’t have too many in between. A couple matches with Owen, a match with the bulldog, one match with taker and one match with diesel. Shawn has more too tier matches with the Taker alone, let alone the rest of his career. Like I said, Brett had good matches with a rare classic while Shawn had great matches with classics all the time. Stay off the crack dude, you’d be able to see clearly

Jerry the king Lawler was just as good as Jim Ross. They were perfect together.
@@makaveli4205 Jerrys the type of guy that roots for the Bad Guys in the movie. I can dig it. With out The King 🤴 there is no Federation.
Brett vs Austin is the greatest of all time. Can't believe it's been 25 years my gawd where did the time go
rip scott thanks for everything
Great research Conrad on Wrestlemania 13….
I like that JR was lighting a cigarette while they were reading the st Jude promo
🤣

I watched that I quit match so many times. The match , the finish, and post match felt like 3 different matches.
Love it when we can see you guys
Here's a fun fact: Steve Austin didn't feel comfortable blading and asked Bret to do it for him. Bret did a great job.
Bret offered to do it for him and Austin agreed.
Not only the double turn being amazing but what about the push Shamrock got out of it. Huge for him
Welcome back Conrad
Yes
Thank you Jim Ross
you are the best of the best in the biz and as a Human.
God Bless you and your fam.
Love you Sir.
Jim lit his cigarette the wrong way, been there 😂 2:06
Wish he would smoke weed instead. He be really funny I bet not so serious.
@@makaveli4205 pretty sure he does.
This was also my first Wrestlemania /back/ as a fan, after being a young young. What a Legendary event. I enjoyed Sid and Taker's match a lot as well.
sid and taker match sucked the year before when he faced diesel was way better in my opinion
i'm curious how main eventers (in this case 'Taker and Sid) feel going out knowing they really can't top an undercard match?
ikr
As a fan I thought the fake Diesel & Razor was ridiculous, much like the Mini Vader & Mini Gold Dust.
Love listening to these shows 👍🏽

Great show!

Rock/Hogan was a great attraction
Bret/Austin was a great match
Rock/Austin (X-7) was BOTH
X7 was the peak. Everything after was less than. The business is almost unrecognizable today.
Smoke a bong hit Ross. Way better than cigarettes.
Wrestlemania 13 memory was British Bulldog and Owen Hart versus Vader and Mankind……..

Too bad it was on a card that absolutely sucked.
Victor Quinones was actually Monsoon’s biological son.
Mr perfect did go bk to wwf bruh in 2002
Sorry Jim, No one cares about Dr. Death Steve Williams, should've pushed Bart.

He does what you say on the Jarrett podcast. But to be fair Jarrett engages with Conrad more so it's feels conversational while Jim's just a grump.
Austin originally supposed to defeat The British Bulldog according to Meltzer
@Mister Brash Main Event Sid vs The Undertaker for the WWF Title,Bret vs Shawn with Michaels' hair on the line lol and Stone Cold vs The Bulldog it was apparently supposed to be
@Mister Brash yeah he contradicts himself lol
one match show
JR talking about the Eagles like they’re relevant is the funniest part of this whole podcast. Roflmmfao
I hate that fucking song too🤣
Eagles are awesome and tho Hotel California is their signature song it isn't my favourite
Has Paul been future endeavoured?
He still does the Angle and Arn pods
No
Please....please retire the Batista bit

Wrestlemania 13 was not the best wrestlemania in the 1990s…..Some people might disagree with me….
14 was better.
Ten/X
Swig of milk for the working man cheers JR
Na na na na hey hey hey GOODBYE PAUL!!!! The push has ended. ( or has it? ) Failed miserably.
He'll be back, and so will you! Lmao
I'm looking forward to JR going back home to WWE. Its pretty sad that he has to call matches for that one Embarrassing promotion
You dont think wwe is embarrassing?🤣
HBK could have followed Austin Hart with a broomstick and put on as good of a match.
LOL
Shawn just didn't have the creative mind that Hart did.
He didn’t need it. He has talent that Hart could never have. You can count bretts 5 Starr classics on 2 hands at best. You need several other hands to count Shawns. Brett had good matches with the occasional classic. Shawn had great matches with a classic every other month.
