  • The team at Arc Terminator sent me out their new EKPM3. It's extremely easy to install and a MUST-HAVE safety item (in my opinion) if you have a modded BMW. An overheating fuel pump control module is common among the modded N55 crowd throughout all chassis. This plug-and-play EKPM3 takes care of that. Go check their site for further details (link below).

    I think I will reach out to them about taking my current unit in for the upgrade service.. Maybe being in Florida has its benefits.

    What about when your fuel pump fuse blows I was told that the load from an aftermarket pump is too much for the stock wiring to the ekp and it can cause the fuel pump fuse to blow I was looking at getting this but I’m curious about the stock wiring that isn’t replaced

      So i have heard of this happening in rare cases. I PERSONALLY have not had it happen to me. BUT if it did, what I would do is just run my own thicker gauge power wire from the EKP to the terminal on the pump (you’d have to go to the dealer to get the required electrical pins on each end of your new wire). That’s what I would do. I know theres other companies that supply an EKP to run dual pumps WITH harness and stuff. But thats buku $. Worth it if you have the need for it though!

      It changes with the new unit, cause it draws less current, I think close to half, even if it adds some extra amps, what it will do is give you a steady flow of amps compare to before with less volt draw and run cooler 😎

    Am gonna have to add this on 2015 f30 335i. My car ekpm is starting to overheat after I installed a bm3 flex fuel kit and a new Bosch stock lpfp. I also Hopefully this works

      Crossing fingers! You may still need a Walbro 450 or 535 if you’re going to run full E or something (depending on your mods of course).

      @@turbospool am happy to report that the Arc terminal ekpm3 works great and very worth it. So far motor has not cut off after 4 hard pulls and driving around town. Also I did not have to code it. Car is 2015 335i msport. The ekpm3 stays cool vs the stock ekpm. But I also have been driving with the rear bottom seat and rear right bolster off. Am curious if the ekpm fits nice under the bolster cover. I am thinking about buying the PR stage 2.5v2 lpfp. But how much e85 can stock lpfp max out at? Mods on car are bm3 stage 2+ @ XHP stage 3 with a custom rod sutphing tune. Dorch stage 2.5 hpfp
      Bm3 flex fuel kit, Bm3 chargepipe,vrsf race catless dp, and vrsf race intercooler “ the biggest one. Am still stock diverter valve, boost pipe and turbo inlet. Also stock air intake and stock exhaust with a turners motor sport resonator delete and stock turbo.
      My goal for the car is 500/500 whp/tq smooth daily driver.

      @@theodorecendejas1343 awesome! You may want to ask in the forums or FB group. That totally depends on your mods and tuning. A stock setup can run E85 all day no problem. I believe that at stage 1 levels you wont be able to run full E85 without upgrading the HPFP, for example.

      @@turbospoolwell I just found out that the stock lpfp can handle up to e70. I overfilled it on purpose to experiment. But at e50 it’s perfect with my dorch stage 2.5 and bm3 stage 2+ multimap.

    Does it need coded

    • @turbospool
      @turbospool  4 місяці тому

      my F10 did not. The majority of F-chassis will not require coding. E-chassis WILL require coding. Check their website for further details
