  • 2016 Motus MST Motorcycle Review - WOW. In a word, that's how you must describe this combination of features and results in a bike. Truly a unique bike on the road and in a GREAT way. After this review today I have a week offer of a $1000 incentive to buy and I'm considering it. Beyond all the specs that you can read on their site, here are my takeaways. It's the most powerful streetbike you will ever ride, in a frame and weight configuration that fits bikes 1/2 it's power. Think VMAX on steroids in a FZ09. No joke. Everything simply works - it's refined and uses many automotive parts and features making it one of the most maintenance free bikes on the planet. 6000 mile oil changes, 20,000 mile chain, lifetime sprocket. NO valve adjustments. Think a LS1 cut in 1/2 for the tech and power. For non-track use the base MST makes far more sense than the R not only for cost but performance. The fully adjustable bars are heavenly, fitting any kind of riding stance you wish. BUT, don't think of the two models and you would other brands - they are simply presets you can find pre-made. Any combination of features can be made to your own spec, many of them at no-cost to change/swap/upgrade. They include carbon or titanium exhausts, many different carbon fiber panels, carbon fiber wheels, the bars, the engines, the front brakes, etc.

Quite possibly the most significant machine in all of American Motorcycling History. I have to own one before the end of my road.

Don't forget it's also got hydraulic lifters...no valve adjustments needed which is HUGE on a motorcycle.

I think $30,000 is actually pretty reasonable (not that I can afford it) considering that this is a small start up company with a proprietary engine. Development costs must have been huge and the investors have taken a lot of risk. If I had the $$ I'd buy one today !

THis is my favorite review of yours! I dream about this bike. I don't know if I could ever afford one but me and the wife are going to demo one this Saturday June 11th. She is afraid I will want one and our budget can't handle it lol. Thank you so much for sharing this Motus experience. Hand built in Birmingham,AL . I live 90 minutes from where they build them. Real grass roots effort that I would love to support. I emailed Motus and they and the organization is still so small (only build about 350 a year) that the person who emailed me back is the president of the company! They are passionate about riding and the bike.

I couldn't head down to EuroCycles yesterday to ride this, but glad you were able too and post some thoughts so I could see it.

I've never heard of Motus before this video (well done as always, btw). It definitely looks interesting, and even though the price is above my pay grade, it looks like you get what you pay for. Impressive that a small company could come up with this.

ONE OF, IF NOT, THE BEST MOTORCYCLE REVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN. Well done to you and Motus.

Wow! Looks like the owner wanted everyone to experience the bike. Best test ride leader I have ever seen. Looked like he caught you off guard a few times.

I got to test ride one of these yesterday. Pretty much spot on with all my initial impressions. I have to say it's definitely on my radar for a second motorcycle.

The bike reminds more of the Moto-Guzzi V90-twin 1151cc shaft drive. You can get a Griso 8V SE for $13,000.
