since this video is very vague and people are having trouble I'm gonna try and help to test if you boiled your sugar syrup to the right stage drop a small amount of it in a small bowl of very cold water, the water will cool it down very quickly and you will be able to touch it without getting burnt (your hand's in the bowl of water of course) you want it to feel a bit stretchy and like the consistency of the one in the video. And To clean the pan get some boiling water (or very very hot) and pour it on the pan as soon as you pour the sugar syrup out, the hot water will melt the sugar syrup and you'll end up with a clean pan after you let it sit for like 30mins or until it's fully dissolved. AND if that fails pour the water in the pan and put it on the stove over high heat and if you want add a bit of salt to help it dissolve. (just know that I have not made this before BTW) Hope this helped!
Vanescia Sufian I did but the recipe I used said later you had to knead it until it was cool on a stone counter top and add water little by little. I got it to the right consistency then when it cooled further it turned into a watery mess :(
Maybe it's just me, like, I'm sure this is a perfectly valid DIY to do, but I don't mess around with stuff like this. It's like, 8-15 bucks to get waxed as long as it's not a Brazilian/bikini. On THAT note, ladies, if you DO use this method, don't put it anywhere near your vagina; vaginas do not like sugar, you're guaranteeing a yeast infection or UTI.
+ColorfulConfessions My GF wants to wax and she was looking at having me make this up and waxing her, just a quick search and I can't find any studies that link sugar wax to yeast infections. Can you link your medical studies please.
+ThyBountyHunter Its a well known fact that having sugars and just about anything that isn't water near your vagina is bad. Even most soaps are not good for it. (Like most people thing you need to use soap on your taint to get clean, but water will do the trick just fine). Sugar and other products throw off the PH balance in the vagina. It's super easy to do. Like, you can get a yeast infection just from having sex. They can come out of nowhere too. Like it's super super easy to get an infection like that, and they're a pain to deal with and get rid of. (Half of the cream medicines itch and burn like crazy for an hour before soothing and healing). So, even if there aren't specific things online about sugar in a vagina its safer to stay away. If your girlfriend is gonna go a head and do this on her vag anyway, she should keep it to the hair on her pubic bone and keep this stuff away from her lips/ around the opening just to play it safe. Cause obviously no one can stop her from doing it if shes aware of the risks, but she should at least be as safe as possible.
LollyXO_ That's why you find a place that does use natural products, if that's what you're after, and you can tell them to show you their sanitation process before having them do it on you. It's just like when you go to a tattoo parlor. By law, if you enter a salon, tattoo parlor, even a doctor's office, if you're concerned about the sanitation and disinfection processes of anything, you can tell them show you how they clean their implements/products. You can also ask for a list of ingredients in the product, especially if for an allergy reason (for example, I'm allergic to cucumber and it's in a TON of beauty care products.)
this video isnt a good example of sugaring, they did it wrong if you are using the caramel when it is still liquidy like that you are supposed to use fabric strips to rip it off like you do in waxing, and it is more painful, but if you want to do it in a less painful way you wait for the sugar to cool for like 30 minutes, take a wad of it in your hands to test the heat, then knead it in your hands for a while untill it gets thicker, cooler, and turns a lighter color. then you apply it with your hands against the direction of hair growth, and firmly peel it off in the direction of hair growth. if you are in actual pain then you are doing it wrong, it should feel slightly tingly, but not be uncomfortable. then you can reshape and reuse the same piece of caramel for the entire process, and as you go on the sugar gets lighter and lighter in color, and tougher to shape which is when it gets rid of the most hair. just look up sugaring DIY for a better example because this one is all over the place
maura tiara maine ye banane k try kjya lekin jaise maine cool krne k liye rakha o ekdam stone type rought tough ho gaya ab me kya kru mene plastic container nr rakhs to ab o nikal nahi raha h plzz giv suggestion reply plz
This recipe works so well! I've made wax using this method like a million times now and it never fails. It's cheap and easy to make. Definitely recommend this :)
I just did it and it is still cooling. I suggest washing your pan and whatever utensil you used for this right away so that the wax doesn't cool and stick to it and ruin them
If you are thinking about putting it in a glass container like in the video make sure the glass is heated before hand. Otherwise it will explode. Make sure you look it up yourself and do your own research, don't just take my comment as fact. Stay safe and happy waxing.
I did this and if you are looking to do this I recommend noyt leaving the mix on the Stove for too long, it will burn. And also use the wax quickly because it hardens easily. Mixing a lot does help.
I've done this once it's actually pretty good! The hair took long to grow back as well. The only thing I did differently was that I used old material as waxing strips.
I did this but used 2 tablespoons brown sugar, two teaspoons of water, and a tablespoon of honey. Then microwaved it for a minute, came out great but I never got the chance to use it so I refrigerated it for 2 days but when I reheated it, it burnt to a crisp. Gonna redo it tomorrow.
I've done this before and enjoyed it. It does last longer than shaving, like any wax. Just be careful not to miss any spots. I ended up missing a few patches here and there. Easy to do, just don't use it on your pubic hair!!
If you undercook this, you can apply strips of paper to the wax and pull it off like a regular wax strip! Be careful it doesn't get too tacky. I find when the mixture gets to a copper color, it becomes too hard to spread (which can be irritating to the skin).
Honey wax actually is a little easier on your skin and doesn't hurt as much. It heats up and then cools quicker and can actually soften your skin a lot and it's really good for maintaining moisture.
Almost all arab women know how to make this, or have at least seen their mothers do it. It's still the preferred method of hair removal for a lot of middle aged women.
would you rather drive all the way to the store just to buy a waxing kit? or pay like $60 to get it professionally done? that's what I thought, sit tf down sis
yeah u can but I'd be really careful with the eyebrows if it gets stuck on them u can get it off with warmer water i haven't tried it on my eyebrows yet bc I'm too afraid that I'd wax them off without purpose 🙈😂
I've know this for 13 years nice try buzzfeed... btw i do this to my armpits cause it takes the dark spots off of your under arms. YOU'RE WELCOME LADIES
Did you make sure to boil your mixture in medium heat ? Also, it takes more than 20 minutes if you want your wax to turn out perfect. As soon as you reach am amber colour, that is when you turn off and it becomes brown on cooling.
This is an old yet gold Middle Eastern waxing all Arabs, Turkish, Pakistani, and Persian women do it! It is called Halawa or Sheerah. Give us credit! And yes it is waaaay better than waxing!
Not lemon juice specifically, lime works too. I've heard some people use vinegar which should work too but I've never tried it. Replacing it with water would probably not work

I know u copied someone I found another sugar wax video that said the same thing and the video was posted a year ago 😒

Vanescia Sufian I did but the recipe I used said later you had to knead it until it was cool on a stone counter top and add water little by little. I got it to the right consistency then when it cooled further it turned into a watery mess :(
I'm gonna eat it.

They don't always use natural products & you don't know what may in it or how sanitary they are. That's the issue

I think almost everyone has tried this once & had their mom yell at them. 😂
+Giselle Arellano
Not me XD
My mom doesn't buy normal sugar
that's why when I did it, I made sure my mom wasn't home 😂
Yoshi Aj I think brown sugar is much more efficient.
Anjelie Manansala lol good thinking.
Giselle Arellano really? But we do not have brown sugar 😱. I can't ask my mom to buy one because she will surely ask 'why' 😥
This recipe works so well! I've made wax using this method like a million times now and it never fails. It's cheap and easy to make. Definitely recommend this :)

Is this the stuff that they put on Katy's upper lip in Last Friday Night?
vinegar is an alternative but when i tried this with vinegar it stunk my house up for a day and it smelled awful. use lemon juice
I did this and it worked great but I didn't add the lotion after...oops.
I see ARMY I click and like and respond 😂😂😂
Uhh a wild kook in its natural habitat 👀
Did it remove your hair permenatly ?
Did it take out the root cause i wanna know so i can do it
I've done this once it's actually pretty good! The hair took long to grow back as well. The only thing I did differently was that I used old material as waxing strips.

How did it work out?
I've done this before and enjoyed it. It does last longer than shaving, like any wax. Just be careful not to miss any spots. I ended up missing a few patches here and there. Easy to do, just don't use it on your pubic hair!!
Can I microwave instead? If so, how long?
Julia Anderson no

This is the best! Doesn't hurt one bit!
Honey wax actually is a little easier on your skin and doesn't hurt as much. It heats up and then cools quicker and can actually soften your skin a lot and it's really good for maintaining moisture.
0:36 did anyone else notice him/her putting cream on a finger that wasn't waxed??
U idiot u use that after wax.
is lemon juice necessary? I need to know!!!
Just done this and I literally had a little fire happening on my stove. I've done something wrong.
why waste it like that? looks like it would taste amazing!
Almost all arab women know how to make this, or have at least seen their mothers do it. It's still the preferred method of hair removal for a lot of middle aged women.
Can you use lime juice instead of lemon?
Min Suga
what happened with yoongi? ?
Yay a kpopper!!!
Swag master
Sugaaa (I can't w/ Woozi's picture underneath 😂)
Sup you swagger sugar, I'm a kookie, and I'm SUGA FREE
i use it on my armpits it makes it whiter and smoother, unlike shaving.
Actually this video is a lie. After adding the ingredients to a pot, don't boil it, but instead put it in a cup and have a sugary lemonade.
does it taste good
6 words: Ain't nobody Got time for that!
would you rather drive all the way to the store just to buy a waxing kit? or pay like $60 to get it professionally done? that's what I thought, sit tf down sis
lemon juice is used to prevent the sugar from going hard.... so how is it meant to suddenly go hard from being a liquid when you put it on your skin
Suga mix
Ayisha Bushra yay another ARMY!!
Can u use this on facial hair? Like eyebrows or lip hair?
yeah u can but I'd be really careful with the eyebrows
if it gets stuck on them u can get it off with warmer water
i haven't tried it on my eyebrows yet bc I'm too afraid that I'd wax them off without purpose 🙈😂
I just made it to eat it lmao it tasted good
Mehhh Idk ...you..... Are literally me😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you know how to make it thicker? When I did it mine was runny
you are supposed to refrigerate it?
I'm that type of person who would make this to eat it and not use it for waxing.
Do you have to put lemon juice on it?
I've know this for 13 years nice try buzzfeed... btw i do this to my armpits cause it takes the dark spots off of your under arms. YOU'RE WELCOME LADIES
ive tried this twice already and it still comes out to liquidy it never hardens
the awkward moment when the finger having lotion rubbed on is still hairy and the wax did not work...
Every Arab girl watching this, is probably laughing at western people discovering how most of us wax
LMFAO YES
I need to know. Is this actually a good recipe?
Just shaved my legs though 😪
Omg we are literally everywhere xD
+Oli Pop Ugh such a struggle :( shaving is the worst, I feel you :'(
is this safe to put on your upper lip?
you mean how to make middle eastern wax
Can we do this with a different type of sugar?
You got no jams

This didnt work it turned into hard candy while i was cooling😒
Dasha Litwin you may want to close the container you're cooling it in
Mines turned watery
Chickennoodle Cornrows maybe you overcooked it
so eat it
Did you make sure to boil your mixture in medium heat ? Also, it takes more than 20 minutes if you want your wax to turn out perfect. As soon as you reach am amber colour, that is when you turn off and it becomes brown on cooling.
Does it matter if I use brown sugar instead of granulated?
i've done this before but i broke the thing i put it in and it didn't cool down and didn't work ._. xD
ItsKimiK what the video didn't tell you is that if you put it into a glass container you should heat the glass so it doesn't shatter everywhere
can we use honey instead?
Here's a joke since I'm early:
Grass
Idk how to be funny 😔
+Calista Williams 😂😂😂
Lmao
can you use white sugar as well?
Thanks buzzfeed. Just burned me finger :)
+Lily Morrison You should let it cool before using it
It literally tells you to let it cool before using it 😂 you should've listened
I want to eat it.
Is it something that I would be ok eating? And if so, does the lemon + sugar combination make it taste bad?
Dab me bro
Narh m8
Us arabs do this alot. We call it 'halawa' if translated directly to English it means 'sweet' (if your british) or 'candy' (if your not).
ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!?! Molten sugar is culinary NAPALM!!!
I'd rather just be hairy. #sasquatchbeautyqueen
When you refrigerate it do you have to reheat it?
could you use lime juice?
Will lime juice work?
Can you use this for upper lip?
do you think you can replace the lemon with lime ?
yes
what temperature do you heat it at? please respond/reply as soon as possible because my mom really wanted to try this out.
😂😂😂😂
Alternative for lemons? Also, what if I have no aloe Vera cream and I don't wanna buy some? Will a really good lotion be good?
If im going to reuse it after refrigerating should i reheat it
seen this on fb, is this organic sugar? please specify
This is an old yet gold Middle Eastern waxing all Arabs, Turkish, Pakistani, and Persian women do it! It is called Halawa or Sheerah. Give us credit! And yes it is waaaay better than waxing!
is there a substitute for the lemon juice i know you can use lime juice but is there anything else?
vinegar :))
Would lime juice work?
Is lemon juice compulsory?
Probably not, as long as you replace the amount with water.
Not lemon juice specifically, lime works too. I've heard some people use vinegar which should work too but I've never tried it. Replacing it with water would probably not work
does your underarm will get dark spots and darkness after doing this?
does it have to be lemon juice? can you substitute it with something else?
lime juice works the same
does this even work? I'm thinking of trying it :)
can we use white sugar?
The lemon doesn't make it burn or anything?
I had made it ..... It really works
Is there any alternative for lemon juice?
Vinegar
will lime work the same as lemon?
Yes
okay, Random question but would this work for blackheads ?
will brown sugar work?
What can I use as a substitute for sugar
lime juice or vinegar but vinegar will stink once you rip it off so wash it off with deep cleansing soap and dry before you apply aloe vera
can you use lime instead of lemon?
yes
Will this work without the lemon?
will lime juice work the same?
Google it
yes
Would this work for black heads?
Refrigerate for later? Wouldn't it harden?
did you use white sugar or brown sugar?
Can you use salt instead of suger?
+Infinite loop no honey they're two very different things
Does it have to be aloe vera cream?
