- Malzeno, a magnificient monster. I love this fight so much to the point that I actually speedran off-stream after a long time. So no smexy Dr. Phil in a corner but clean gameplay with epic music instead!
And what a thrill it is. I fought him with a full heroics run, with a casual build and with a mix of both, using a bit of Heroics / Adrenaline but still healing up here and there to counter his moves while focusing on the infamous Dereliction build.
The waterbug opener into area change to the swamp allows for quick work on Malzeno and while Sword and Shield itself isn't that powerful, the small toads surely love to help out an SnS bro!

No video yet, but this is a heroics build focusing on Dereliction, Resentment and Offensive Guard, making the most use of Valstrax's insane sharpness and raw so that I can focus entirely on offence without any sharpness management and it's quite honestly a little bit scary how effective it is.

So I have been speedrunning this myself and the best I got it down to was 5:24 but after watching your video spamming bombs with metzu makes me think I was using the wrong strategy. I will try that out. I am only aiming for sub 4:40, if I can do that I would be very proud. Excellent run btw.
You can do this man, aim for sub 4'30 for that more satisfying feeling!

Amazing run! Now I wanna play SnS again since base Rise.
But the background track was a little too loud and the ingame sounds to low.
Btw where is this OST from? Sounds like straight from Dark Souls
Yeah ik but it shouldn't be a problem since I thought of just removing the in game audio anyway. But understandable that if left in it sounds weird.

Really nice! How do you do the Rising Slash after the Backstep like at 1:56? I’ve been trying to figure out the input but have been unable to do so thus far.

What switch skills do you have on?
so is this the only monster to use prush on? the rest use lateral combo??
Nah PRush is used for raw damage ooor if the monster has higher impact zones than cut zones. They make a big difference

it's an amazing gameplay. But i think the build could have better. I am not sure if u need lv 3 dereliction.
The dereliction 3 I'm pretty confident is BiS since I dont need crit and there arent too many offensive skills left tbh, but the AB6 with Resentment 5 is worse than AB7 with Resentment 4, which I just fixed in my Kushala run
