Their marriage was exemplary. Past President Jimmy Carter (who himself is in Hospice care at 99 yrs old) statement about his wife saids it all: "“Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” the former president, 99, said in a recent statement. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it. As long as Rosalynn was in the world, I always knew somebody loved and supported me.” - Jimmy Carter.

I live about 45 minutes from the Carters. I took my two kids on a camping trip two years ago and visited the boyhood home of Jimmy Carter. It was so cool, we rode right in front of where the Carters live now. It is a simple house. The only thing that gave it away is the black Suburbans beside the garage and the fence around the property. I recommend it to anyone to go see the boyhood home of Jimmy Carter. It is a history lesson on rural farming in the early 1900's.

Then having opposition have hostages held in captivity as an election strategy. The snobbery and disrespect was over the top. By the same people who are wearing red hats and shrilling for an ignorant man who is enamored of despots and fascists, while telling us all their intentions to destroy democracy.

Seems so similar to last year's loss of Queen Elizabeth American style. Of course we have no one born into a "Royal Class" in the USA, but there are people here who earn deep respect by their own personal integrity and acts. The Carters are an excellent couple to set an example for real sucess in reaching the American Dream with honor.

@suzanneterrey4499 The point of my comment was that the got little cooperation from either Republicans or democrats. And after all its Congress's responsibility for the economy the budget and interest rates. They just didn't do their job. And finally Ted Kennedy wasn't yet convinced that America was never going to forget Chapaquidic.
