This guy knows how to make a DIY video...Thanks for telling us the torque spec’s also. So helpful.
I appreciate the video. After watching it I realized I am sure I cannot lift all that or do all that. Thanks for sharing.
makes it look so easy with those air powered tools. I see lots of cussin' and knuckle banging trying to do these with typical hand ratchets and breaker bars for those stubborn nuts and bolts.
Hate these struts. They mess up every couple years and you have to replace the whole loaded strut instead of just one thing
Boy, that jeep gets a lot of front end alignments
thank you for this video. my shock broke, i ordered a replacement from trq and replaced it myself. I have pretty much replaced my entire front end on my jeep liberty. engine has 200K on it and not burning oil. the front end needed replacement, but she runs and drives smooth. They built cars pretty good back then. now days no car is made to last much past 100k. even honda or toyota. they lowered the bar on their newer cars. there is that one bolt you never mention the torque spec on, you blow past on all the videos. the sway bar bolts. what is the story on that? strange
That was pretty impressive, you can tell this wasn't your first time 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.what's a ballpark price of a job like?
This video along with the passenger side guide were invaluable in replacing the suspension on my wife’s 08 liberty. The technician’s instructions were super clear and easy to follow, and giving the torque numbers was incredibly helpful.
One thing I want to note, and I think someone else in the comments mentioned the same issue. My upper ball joint bolt would start spinning after the nut was unscrewed about halfway. This happened on both sides. I was able to remedy the problem by use the pair of vice grips to hold the bolt steady and a wrench to hand-screw the bolts off. Took a little extra time and effort but it worked perfectly.
A $200 purchase online for parts and a Friday doing it myself sure beats spending $800 at a shop, no matter how frustrated I got sometimes lol.
+GPMJC94 Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
I'm having the same issue. I can't put vice grips anywhere. Now it is completely free spinning with not way to take it off or tighten it.
These are by far the best videos for doing it yourself
Thank you for the only video I could find with torque specs and tray removal!
+Richie Padgett Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

WOW that took how many minutes? Less than an hour for sure so I think I can trust the local AAA Auto shop to make this repair I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty and the Dealership told me I need to replace my Left Front Shock cost $289.50 and I think that may include labor what's your advice?
Thanks!
thanks i did pass first for a warm up,
no Brasil se chama Jeep Cherokee Sport ou Limited... seu vídeo me ajudará muito quando for colocar calços na suspensão para levantar 2" (Lifit).. Parabéns e Obrigado
Awesome video, almost a two man job, I need to replace my shocks on a 2012 Jeep Cherokee.
This is a great video... pulling mine out this weekend to add a 1/4 inch spacer to the top and conduit nuts between the shock and clevis fork for an extra 1" of lift
Good video. I was able to remove the strut without lowing the knuckle.
Great Job and great video. Thank you
This vid's tha diff betwixt a mere mechanic, and a TECHNICIAN. Once I purchased a new impact wrench, and afew other tools, I felt ready to dive into tha job. But! My upper ball joint bolt was just spinnin, and after abit of googlin, I see this is not uncommon. Since this is a thing, how bout addressing the most common issues, likely to be encountered. I think my nut mustabeen x-threaded, cuz, even after puttin'a 10mm socket on it, to stop it from turnin, I ran outta bolt, b4 tha nut broke free... Oh well! Guess I'm doin uppers too...
Same issue on BOTH SIDES! Since I'd already committed to replacing the UCL's, once I was forced to cut the driver's side bolt, I used a vice grip to grip the passenger's side bolt while I finished gettin the nut off, but it stayed SNUG, until it was almost completely off the threads. Not sure if it would'a mattered, but, if I had it to do over again, I'd try to remove the nut COMPLETELY, and then thread it back on to bang the UCL down. Can't remember the driver's side, but, on the passenger's side, the nut was comin off, and I stopped to bang the UCL down, and it spun freely after that. Perhaps it's that tension B4 u bang the UCL down, that supplies the resistance needed to remove the nut completely?
Great video!!! With videos like these who needs a mechanic!
Awesome repair! Thank you very much!!
Great video man!
To much stupid adds

+Silvio Piscitelli We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Will this method work with 03 liberty 4x4?
+Felix Torres This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
How do they perform compared to OEM?
Mine sucked. Broke within a year. I had bought duralast ones from auto zone. Had to buy some moog ones from rock auto
