you can't just remaster Underground 2 and not Underground 1
nfs world 2 but with undergound 2, most wanted and carbon's map all combined into one and you have to beat each game in the series to unlock the map.

The best "classic" nfs game
I'd love the golden era blackbox remaster (UG1-2, MW, Carbon) but god damn please make it period correct, I really don't want to see underground 1 but 2020 with ageras as you said, 2003 and before had enough cool tuner cars that weren't in UG1 or 2. Here's a list- R32, R33, FC RX-7, 22B impreza, A70 supra, Civic hatchbacks (EG, EK), A whole bunch of Euro hatchbacks, E30 BMW, E36 BMW (Would be cool to see a 318i compact, not another M3). And that's only the ones I could think of right now, all of them had base models that could be put in the game, maybe tunable to top trim through engine swaps, body mods, etc.
Car culture overall has moved on so much from what it was back then, I'd find it refreshing to go back and have a good game set back in '03.
I'd say either remaster it period correct or just make a different game under the underground name (however that's a slippery slope, looking at you MW2012).
Of course there are as many opinions as there are nfs fans out there, this is just mine.

I remember not 2 weeks ago I was playing heat for the first time in like 2 months and my dad walked in and was like “oh this looks pretty good what game is this” and I explained to him the entire backstory between ghost and 2015 and then went over to 2015 and he was like “Oh man yea you weren’t kidding this is insane its better than GTA” 😂😂

i wish they would do a new version of driver san francisco, obvs in a different city like L.A or somethin, that game has aged soo well, the physics engine was and still is incredible and everything about that game is just brilliant

Racing games should never be remastered in my opinion, they should get sequels instead with new cars, new features, new/upgraded maps. A remaster is good for story's but not much else
I'd agree if the games weren't so different on a base level. NFS Heat or any of the modern NFSs (maybe other than 2015) is an evolution of UG1 and never will be.

Here's a solution: EA Shoud remaster Every game from Hp2 all the way to pro street and maybe undercover, and release it as the Blackbox collection or something like that
I would also really love re-releases of nfs 1-5, hell, call it the "Classics collection"
Unfortunately, because there's so much licensing to do, I don't think any of that is going to happen (cars, parts, music). That's why we don't see many racing games remasters and re-releases
They’re remaking Tony Hawk ProSkater 1&2 and so far it looks like it has features from 3, 4, and Underground.
So I say remake Need for Speed Underground 1&2 and add features from the other games!
(Make roof scoops functionable so you can either remove the AC unit to reduce weight or have it feed directly to the engine/air intake to cool it down)
What people don't understand is that it was a no-brainer to remaster Hot Pursuit. The game is fairly new and doesn't need too many new assets in order to remaster as it already looks decent. Plus Burnout Paradise remastered just got released which runs on the EXACT same engine making it even easier to remaster. Remastering a game like Underground 2 or Most Wanted would require way more effort as the Car Models, Textures etc. would all need to be done from scratch basically. And EA is not about to put in a lot of effort or money into doing that, we already knew that.

Let's not forget either that during the same time they developed HP 2, they had another team that focused on Underground. Quite an achievement. I honestly don't care what other people think, UG1 is better then UG2.

whole game on hard when i was a kid working in pc shop/ pc gaming store still to date top 10 memories of game
I somewhat miss the old need for speed because I go back to my PlayStation 2 just to play underground and what I like about that is the computers are seriously hard to beat but in today’s era I have to go online just to get a proper challenge I missed the days were the computers was hard as hell on the racing games
I played through Underground on the PS2 about 2 months ago and I can confirm, B-Dog is a battybwoy.

Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 needs a remake or remaster for sure us PS3 owners didn't get a HD version but Xbox 360 did. I got stuck playing the PS2 version. I don't understand why a PS3 version didn't release.
Mate, EA would never ever invest the money needed to remaster this game. You, of all people, have followed EA for long enough to know that the only way EA does something that community wants is through a massive boycott, which this particular community is just not big enough for. EA doesn't give a shit and no amount of YT videos will change that.

If you dont know the characters, how do you even call your self a fan and the story is just there to have one. It's not made to be a movie game, but something still needed to drive a game like this.
Theres a lot they'd have to improve on, but underground is a beautiful platform for a remaster

Carbon needs a remake. That game was unfinished and wasn’t realized properly.
from NFSU1 to NFSC this was the weakest entry because it’s just pure grind. It loses its luster fast and the ai just suffers from too much catch up and too little personality (on the road, that is - the race messages are great)

I didn't know i was playing on hard but the game got so hard when you had to beat Eddie's crew in a tournament near the end of the game that i had to caculate who to hit a the start of the race. When to break, when to boost, and when to turn. I basically mastered the fucking track cause the a.i. was so hard to beat. I'm not even gonna talk about the final race. I hade to perfec that track too.

Your bad points are a plus for me, I don't want 200 cars like in Forza horizon, i got 120 in the garage and only like to play with 7. You don't have to overfload a racing game with story. Who give a f# about Camera, share or daily's. They should make a remaster that includes Undeground 1 and 2 like Tony Hawk did.

Bruh the camera mode in heat is one of the best tf you talking about forza's camera mode is alright but not the best and 2000's games never had an end game or whatever
Really in my mind if I was to compare the pros and cons of NFSU in comparison to NFS Heat. I'd say NFSU wins by a landslide, but Heat wins in Customization and PVP. Really IMO graphical quality doesn't mean much if a game is low quality and/or really short. NFSMW '05 is pretty much the fine line of Underground and Heat if you ask me. Although the only fault MW '05 had was that Blacklist member graphics weren't unlockable unless it's via online download (considering you could apply boss paints in Mostwanted GBA).

I'd say the game can use a little bit of a rebuild if they were to bring it back, but nsfu2 is better for a remake in it's own way

Imo, Underground's physics felt a bit too loose for me. It's not terrible but something just seems off too me. The cars left a bit too paperweight for my tastes.
They shouldn't remaster any NFS games because licensing, customisation, AI, catch up, car list would all have to be midernised and changed. It would have to be a remake, and at that point, you may as well just create a whole new game anyway than release something we've already played.

No need for remaster. Take the best ideas from both U1 and U2 and call it Underground, like they did with HP2010 or MW2012 (although those were reimagining their originals in name only)
2 many additional features and new cars thats been released since this was a thing .. no way they can do a remastered or remake , just make a new Underground game period , use the pros of the first two and add modern day technology to it
Bc next game is with Criterion did I spell it right but anyways that means if there a remastered they have to do it with a game that won't go against licensing and has to be with the same game supporter so that means has to be from Criterion games which is the 2012 need for speed most wanted or hot pursuit

If NFS MW 05 Gets a Remaster. It needs to have some Skylines in it man. At the least just add the R34 and R32.
For its time it was groundbreaking, and even by today's standards it STILL holds up. Look a the state of the last 2 games EA completely lost their way. This is the start of the golden age of NFS. I would easily pay 50 quid for a remaster of it. And once I finish it I'd go back and start again that's what endgame was back in 2003 you just played it again no need for DLC's. EA shoud start here with a block of remasters Underground 1, 2 an then most wanted. Then 2022 when criterian have there feet under the table release underground 3. That being said I have zero faith in EA for a decent NFS game.

we don't want a remaster of Underground 1we want a remaster of underground 2 and it's long overdue. Underground 2 is the best NFS game they ever made IMO. They also need to do a remaster port up of the first Hot pursuit game they made for PS2. they need to fix the tracks in Highstakes an add them to Hot pursuit instead of having us drive around multiple versions of the same 6 tracks.
I’m all about 2005 most wanted remaster.
The police chases alone and perfect map size make it the Most addictively fun nfs ever; not necessarily the best but the most fun.
And it would be pretty simple to achieve, a much bigger car list, updated soundtrack, updated customisation and 2020 graphics is all you’d need for a properly good game in this generation.
They should at least just release it so that we can buy and play it, no remaster needed.

Yeah, but your talking like if they were to remaster it would be among the main series of games. I'll be fine if they kept everything the same and charged like 20 to 30 bucks for it and release it as a side nfs game. Main stream for them. Even if it was remastered comparing it to heat would never work because the whole purpose (if they were to remaster) was to sell to long time fans not to compete with heat. If they remastered and kept everything the same I would still buy, because even with it's flaws it's still a great overall game. Honestly the only thing I would want them to change is the graphics a bit. Like how I seen the Redux version.

Magnus Walker's final challenge is absolute ass. I cannot do it. A damn 7 minutes event. I got tired practicing it. I missed it by a single checkpoint once. I gave up.
Obviously they wouldnt remaster a game to the T like UG1.... Its stupid to nit pick those things because they can be changed and expanded upon. But I do think MW05 and UG2 deserve one before UG1 though. The physics in all these games are impeccable. Also, I think its kind of dumb to dial down the difficulty.

Well I think underground does deserve a remaster but it just needs a hella lot for it to really work and to have the features that modern racing games have that Underground is missing so I would say if they're thinking on reviving the underground name then I think they need to completely redo the two games give them a completely new overhaul and try to find away to remaster the original two so the younger audience doesn't have to do what I did and get a console that's older than them I had to get the PlayStation 2 versions oh and ehm I love the mention of the Undertaker at the start of the video with his dong before he entered the ring

I agree with you for the most part. I don’t think Hot Pursuit 2010 or Underground needs a remaster. The underground series needs a total remake, similar to 2015 but much better. Honestly I don’t even think Most Wanted 05 should be remastered because it’s somewhat lacking in several areas. To me an NFS game that deserves a remaster and could easily be done well in it’s current state in NFS Prostreet. This could work especially well considering that it seems more popular now than when it released.
Prostreet was really broken in some areas. Physics wise I'd argue the drift and speed challenge modes are worse than 2015. Also suffers from the lack of content problems which generally the earlier games do suffer from
Pro Street is severely underrated, no other NFS aside from MW2005 comes close to the atmosphere of that game. It has great car selection + customisation, memorable characters and even memorable tracks.
StraightUpHippo true, drift and speed physics would need to be tweaked, but aside from that, there was/is a decent amount of content. The PvP was pretty good allowing for custom race days, and vehicle tune/blueprint sharing. The customization is still pretty decent what it lacks in the more visual department it makes up for in the tuning departments, and the atmosphere is one of the best atmospheres in any NFS game. Also, the length of the game should more than enough to tide fans over until the NFS 2021/22 realease which is what a remaster should really in my opinion anyway.
Thismongrel the memorable tracks in prostreet are the most rage inducing ones like NEVADA FREAKING HIGHWAY. In terms of atmosphere the only NFS game that comes close to Prostreet is NFS 2015. 2015’s atmosphere was somehow just so immersive and despite the slew of problems the game had, the game had such a great atmosphere that really captured the late night, underground street racing scene. I think the map and graphics had a huge part to play in that.
idk is there's a difference between a remaster and a remake? I kind of see Underground 1 as a foundation for the golden era of nfs games. Each game in the series added something new (for the most part). I think in a perfect world Underground 1 (and possibly even 2 in a Borderlands the Handsome edition style) would have to be remade. Im kinda gonna repeat a lot of things you said. A remake with an expanded map (or if it were to retain the closed style racing of underground 1, a hub world where you can customize, upgrade and tune your cars), challenge series, online play, much better story, newer/recent customization (nfs/speedhunters parts that aren't real. kind of like kyza parts), better progression, and a whole bunch more that you said in your video. This is essentially just creating a new nfs game and atp idk if it's worth the effort to take on a task like this, especially if they (criterion?) have to make their own nfs from scratch. If history is anything to go by, this is kind of what killed black box. Again I think it'd be cool in theory but like you said, a most wanted 05, carbon or underground 2 remaster would be a better and maybe even easier task.
