Best racing franchise ever created. Need for speed can’t touch Midnight Club’s customization, Heat is as close as it gets.
thats only cuz Heat is made in the present and MC is from the past. At the time there wasnt a game close to the customization that midnight club 3 had to offer, not even the NFS games

@@doce.9755 the word you're looking for is licensed, but that's a preference thing not an objective fact. the *fact* is nfs had more, which was better is up to the player whether they prefer the hand made parts or the licensed ones. personally I think the cars look rubbish in mc3 compared to the underground games despite my preference in licensed parts
@David Phoenix Need for speed might have had a few more tuner options but it stopped there.
Midnight Club had much more variety, trucks muscle bikes 20+ real body kits for each side of the car instead of 5, real hydraulics and airbags on demand, custom color wheel for trim, window tint rims, blowers, wheelie bars, mud flaps, and the suspension geometry to change staggered and offsets, from 12in to 28.
And then by the time la rolled around Need for speed still didn't do interior
Recently rockstar has been getting licensing for car manufacturers and people are saying it’s for GTA 6 but I truly want it to be a new Midnight club

If this is true and Rockstar is getting lincensing, GTA has never had licensing for cars... so it would be Midnight Club or some other game.
@Thecarkid 11 that would mean another reboot from a HD universe GTA IV and GTA V takes place in, since it's a major change to the lore. and of course diversity of vehicles will be affected by that decision, we'll never see another GTA with DeLorean, Nissan R90C and Lada driving side by side. i don't think we should be happy if it's true.
There was never and will never ever gon' be a GTA with licenced cars, because exploding cars - is a big (BIG) feature of GTA series. Obviously manufacturers will not include their cars in GTA, if you can't even remotely damage cars in other games like Forza Horizon and NFS

Every midnightclub was ahead of it‘s time... that‘s why they never sold toooo many copies sadly imo... so many things that we saw found their appearence in other games later on. And one thing that was insane, was the music. I still listen to that intro you used in my nightdrive playlist. Memories always intensify.

also mcla had interior customization witch is insane to think about because we don't even have it now in modern games. it would cool to have a stripped out r34 or supra it also would be cool to see underground racing kits on Lamborghinis to output 3500hp

This was great man, it's interesting to learn what about what happened to our favourite arcade racing game from Rockstar.
I wish they would make another MC, I just remember falling in love with MC3:DUB edition on ps2 and playing with my brothers. Was the best of times! 👌

*licensing is over the top expensive and boy do car companies freak out when they’re cars are being chased by cops, are in underground racing, are being fully modified from head to toes inside/out and receive actual damage other than scratches in a game*
just take the gta route then. model your cars after real ones but name it blista kanjo. you could do so much more without real licences

I personally want a racing game that has:
Realistic driving physics
Realistic damage
Huge open world
A lot of car customization
Long and good story
A lot of cars.
That's it. The closest thing ever to this is sutoko revival project (asserto corsa mod)

@@bman1668 thank you, but when i say a lot of customization i mean customization like fr legends. Physics like project cars 2 or Asserto corsa. And cars that aren't even used like opel Kadett etc. But i respect forza horizon, but its a simcade
@@NGKGMR you're describing a sim open world game. Horizon is pretty close. If horizon had nfs customization it would almost reach midnight's perfection.

I know what you mean but in MCLA once you get a hang on how to ride bikes, the game becomes much easier.

@@PornstarJerome Yes I remember finishing 3, driving around in Tokyo in my Nissan Skyline... to this day it's my favorite car. I actually found a new copy of MCLA(sold it or lost it years ago idr) for the PS3 and excited to complete it. I do remember MC2 being extremely frustrating but I was really young as well
L Dope they had removed it off the online stores, at least with PlayStation anyway? Can’t find it! But I did beat the crap out of 3 & LA. It’s legit been since 08, LA came out. It’s been like 12 years since then. All these NFS’, the forzas, and the like. Cool games sure. But if Rockstar made another MC, it would blow the racing genre out of the water and put some excitement back into it. The guys who developed the driving mechanics in GTA apparently are the same ones who build MC.

All these other racing games just don't give me that feeling that MC does, that STREET RACING vibe, with a great soundtrack and phenomenal driving controls. I actually got my PS3 working again after several years and man, MCLA and GTA 4 are so much fun. Rockstar needs to make more games lol
No, it didn’t die. Rockstar executive said they’re going to wait until their current projects are released and maybe reconsider past titles.
Even if that’s the case, it’s been over 10 years since the last Midnight Club game. That’s literally way too long. Rockstar could have done an HD remastered release of Dub Edition Remix on all platforms just to gauge interest for a new title, but I guess they hate money for anything that isn’t GTA V

midnight club 2 was my first game ever and there is so much this franchise nails right it had the perfect sense of what street racing is while all the other games these days are just track racing on streets which kinda sucks

MCLA was the first ps3 game I ever had. I remember I would play around with the race editor after i finished the game and(when the ps3 servers were still up)I would watch my dad play online cuz I didn't have an online account yet. This Midnight club in particular will forever be my favorite racing game ever(Unless Rockstar makes a Midnight club 5 out of no ware)

A game where you can paint the car with three different finishes where a game that not only gave respect to customization it show they care.
If they aren’t gonna bring a new Midnight Club in the future, then they might as well make some aspect of the story in GTA 6 focused around illegal street racing
They unofficially did with how much support the car list gets within gta. At this point i'd rather have a new midnight club with the unlicensed licensed car models from gta. People think gta cars actually exist which is hilarious.

I literally just bought a new PS3 copy of Midnight Club LA for myself this Christmas. I'm so happy. And I think it's from France cause the cover is in French but the game still has English story and voices

Speed drifting in MC3 and fishtailing in MC2 were one of the hardest things to master and consistently do in a race

As a midnight club fan.. gta’s car customization will NEVER satisfy me until they get the actual cars like midnight club. These bootleg gta model of the cars aren’t it for me

I think the reason why Midnight club 5 wasn't gonna be developed or released was because of the trouble you mentioned in the video but also around the time of Midnight club la many people online backlashed at rockstar San Diego saying that the game was underwhelming and hard to grind at the very early stages of the game and it didn't have the arcade style that the previous games had, and the reason why was because Midnight club la had a story that had a progress system that increases as you play the game more especially the races and it courages you to know more about the story that's why rockstar had to cut the fast paste arcade like it's predecessors I know Midnight club 2 had a great story because the player could read the minds of the other racers but in Midnight club 3 the game focused on you the player and the game kinda shyed away from giving characters personally the only people you ever talk to were the mechanics but as for the racers there was nothing known about them just their cars and what club they represent I consider it the best racing game in the series in terms of customization and music and rockstar did the same thing with la but instead of having arcade it's more of a realistic experience because of the story another reason why rockstar never finished Midnight club 5 was because during Midnight la's development the way it was getting marketed was done very poorly literally no posters or trailers I even had to search up new Midnight club game before I even knew the game existed and during that time in 2008 there was the housing market crash and it was worse than the great depression and to be honest rockstar released it in a bad date but overall I still enjoyed the game till this day on my Xbox

I have been heavily modding GTA V lately. & I added a few new cars, & since add on vehicles use dlcs, the customization felt similar to a midnight club (all on Five Mods -> addons)
Midnight club graphics actually looks better than the graphics in GTA V.

Guys, I emailed rockstar games with an agreement. If we can get 2 million people to sign a petition, all agreeing on a new MC game, they will take it into high priority consideration for game development. I have been pressing this issue with them for weeks now and someone of upper management that has the power to make this happen has finally seen it. Who's with me?

Right now would be the best time for some video game company to come out of the woodwork with a racing game that has everything every racer truly wants from the mountains of akina in Japan, to the drag strips out in Pennsylvania, all the way to rallycross in Africa. Customisation all in. All types of racing included.

There was a leak for a Midnight Club game in 2017 which apparently was a remaster/reboot that leaked on the Xbox Live Website at the time and you can find screenshots of the game to see how it would've roughly looked.

I thought I agreed. I bought the game for 50 bucks and I loved it for a couple hours... but the game truly sucks. Only played maybe 3 hours. Just super clunky at times. I should have waited longer like I waited for Payback. But I watched all those videos saying NFS HEAT IS WHAT THE FANS WANTED, got sucked into that like a dunce. Shitty game. I'd rather go back and play NFS 2015. At least that had some kind of soul even though it wasn't that great.

No. All the work that was done on MC5 (cars, customization bits, etc) was distributed across GTAV online since it used the same engine because GTAV online was making tons of money at the time (well, still is), R* decided that beneficially it was the best strategy at the time. One of the GTAV Online component releases was even called "Grand Theft Auto V Online: Midnight Club".

My first games on my PS2 when I was a kid was Gran Turismo 4 and Midnight Club III DUB Edition. I never got how GT4 worked when I was a kid so I just played arcade mode but I fully got Midnight Club III. It was simple, race the "blue arrow people" to get through the campaign, race in the "trophy" races and win cool cars, and upgrade and unlock your cars. Simple as that. It was just simply a great game, NOBODY can deny it, the graphics were awesome while it did have a low frame rate, it was still beautiful. MCLA was a let down, didn't feel like a true MC game. It was a great game, just had different vibes.

If Rockstar could release a remastered version of all Midnight club game series in a bundle for next gen consoles that would satisfy me as much as a new midnight club game. I’m sure others may feel the same. Rockstar please make this real. I’d pay $100 for this bundle.

Another thing that also made Midnight Club huge was the fact that it was the only game (kinda) that let you race along side MOTORCYCLES(the other being Project Gotham rip). Now that there's a larger stunt riding scene they could include that with a trick system for bikes, along with adding ATVs and MX bike types along side the sport bikes and choppers/cruisers they had before (all on asphalt). This could all be done with the classic and modern cars too plus the customisation of GTA online and the MCLA cockpit view (they where one of the few racing games that used that view right😁). Midnight Club 3 was the only game to represent all styles of street vehicles. But with today and how the street racing/riding scene is now, they could easily take the crown back for best racing game again with all the content out there
