I recently heard that Tiger would do it on purpose knowing his gallery would naturally stop the ball. He gave that advice to a fellow player and the poor guys ball just went on forever. He did not calculate that Tiger's gallery would be more thicker than his. I found it pretty funny.

It also could mean that someone is doing something repetitively that is getting on the nerves of the person that says to "cut it out." The phrase is usually said in an angry tone of voice. Not to mention, I feel like there should be a rule in golf where if you have a lie like that, especially in a tournament with spectators, that you can move the rock so that you don't have two errant projectiles

L E becasue these golfers are so talented and good at their craft that 200 people could be standing 10 feet from them and they usually hit great shots ....try swinging a golf club with 200-300 people surrounding you and not hit them .. u would be so nervous you would probably hit them every time

He couldnt find a damaged vehicle or his balI. I said he, not we. We stayed on the golf course, we wanted no parts of it. Stand up guy though. Learned a lesson about character.

I remember the house had several hundred golf ball dents in the plank siding and the downspouts were just about beat off the side of the house. I thought, 'man those kids must have huge balls to ever play on that swing set.'
when I was 9 yrs old, I was filming with a camcorder on the back of a green during a practice round at the Colonial in Fort Worth TX. John Daly shot one into the green quite hot and it bounced and hit me in the throat. My dad still has the tape of me recording and all of the sudden the camera falls to the ground. Daly came by and signed my hat and checked on me. Good stuff.

I played golf professionally for decades and stopped after my drive on a par 5 was hit on the inside of the club face and hit a 7 year old girl in the head. The injury resulted in memory loss and she was never able to remember her family after that day. She forgot everyone she knew and they say this type of memory loss from trauma is most common between the ages of 5 and 7. Her father ended up committing suicide due to the pain of his daughter not knowing him any longer and her mother died from broken heart syndrome a little over a year later. Her younger brother was placed in a foster home where he ended up allegedly being molested (I've always prayed its not true). I literally destroyed a loving family because of golf and I will never play again. You couldn't pay me to go back on the green with a club. I replaced that passion with disc golf which is okay, but I will never forgive myself. They really should have spectators behind the Tee box.
