55:31 iirc this is a rare occurrence! There are some events in the game that only happen if a randomized value in the code for the area you're in hits the right number. This is one of the funnier ones, but the coincidence makes it soooo spooky!!!!

It's quite normal for this to happen on some playthroughs -- other random calls include the Wrong Number, or someone trying to order a pizza over the phone. - If you say "no" to Papyrus's explanation of the colored tile puzzle, his second explanation is actually funnier than the first. - I noticed something specific happen after the "Gauntlet of Deadly Terror", but I'm not saying what because of foreshadowing. (After you've beaten the game, _then_ I might mention what it was and where in this episode it occurred.) - If at a prior time you had killed Toriel, the game won't just say "talking does not seem to be the solution" but _specifically hint_ "is there anything else you can do besides fighting or running away?" when you try to Talk to her. And yes, Toriel does not want to kill you either -- it is _technically_ possible to die from her strongest attack but this is actually difficult to achieve! - Upon leaving the Ruins, Flowey's reaction indeed changes depending on how you played through the Ruins. He doesn't name _every_ monster that might have been killed, he just names all of them in general and asks you to think about it. Unrelated personal anecdote: Back around 2015-16 I heard a lot of people talking about Undertale, but it wasn't until I saw a random "Sans battle" video on UA-cam that I had any context on what that was. Then I saw a playthrough (couldn't remember which streamer) of playing through the Ruins and it was the Toriel battle (and the means of Sparing her) that I could tell felt real special; original thinking on the creator's part.

Man the Toriel fight was kinda stressful lol. The whole time she was doing her best not to murder you, you were dancing around like you were trying to get hit by her attacks lol. Fun fact, you can die that way lol. And Goatmom is completely devastated. And you didn't save before going into the basement lol, or if you did I missed it, so you'd have had to do the whole "Toriels house" bit of the game over from the start.

Ice Cap actually has a second, definitive sparing method, which is to actually hurt and weaken them enough to steal their hat, then after stealing it they become a simple Ice cube. But at this moment you can compliment them to make them realise they no longer needs to rely on the ice hat to feel good and valued. Then you can spare them. Sparing them like this has one or two changes in the game, none too important, but one of them is in the credits. If you do not spare them with this method, their name will NOT appear yellow in the credits unlike other monsters.

I'm genuinely surprised you DIDN'T kill Toriel. There are a lot of nuances involved, most people end up killing her their first time "in a blind playthough". She's basically a "giant road block" [one of 3] for the player [that being you here] to think outside the box on how to beat passively/or just openly slaughter. don't worry i didn't spoil anything for you.

About the fire in Toriel's home: If you knew... This is a little kind of secret too. It has a reason why this fire isn't dangerously hot. ;3 Also I can tell you about the behaviour of *Toriel* in the fight. I'll put it into "Read More" in case you don't want to know. At a special amount of HP you only get 1 damage per hit. You can die in this fight, yes. But to be honest, it's kind of funny. If she accidently kills you. Her expression changes. It shows she's shocked. Another thing. Stop reading if you don't want to know. When Toriel stops to attack you, you can attack her. And with that attack you *One Hit* her.
so cool thing about the bisicle is you get 11 hp twice its a 2 for 1 it renames it self disicle or something after you eat it once so if you buy 2 if fills 2 spots but allows you to heal 4 times on 4 seperate turns

The dogs are easily distracted by the “stick” item, therefore an immediate spare!
Also, lesser dog can infinitely extend it’s neck if you keep petting them!!! The game is packed full of secrets like that.

Davi pronouncing Papyrus as Pa-pee-rus baffled me, because that's how I pronounced his name at the first time (I'm not a native English speaker). In my opinion, it does sounds cooler than Pa-pie-rus (imagine papaya vs papiro hehe)

About the fire in Toriel's home: If you knew... This is a little kind of secret too. It has a reason why this fire isn't dangerously hot. ;3
Also I can tell you about the behaviour of *Toriel* in the fight. I'll put it into "Read More" in case you don't want to know.
At a special amount of HP you only get 1 damage per hit. You can die in this fight, yes.
But to be honest, it's kind of funny. If she accidently kills you. Her expression changes. It shows she's shocked.
Another thing. Stop reading if you don't want to know.
When Toriel stops to attack you, you can attack her. And with that attack you *One Hit* her.

so cool thing about the bisicle is you get 11 hp twice its a 2 for 1 it renames it self disicle or something after you eat it once so if you buy 2 if fills 2 spots but allows you to heal 4 times on 4 seperate turns

Eu fiquei tão em choque quando vi que jria ter que lutar com ela na minha primeira gameplay, depois dela ter pegando na minha mão e andado pelos espinhos nas ruínas porque era muito perigoso, fazer uma torta pra mim e deixado no quarto (que por sinal parece ser tão gostosa aquela torta...), sempre tão fofa e ele todo desconfiado dela! 💔😭
É pq ele tava com o pensamento de tipo: ele queria sair daquele lugar, e ela desde o início assumia q ele ia viver com ela, nem perguntando se ele queria, ele só queria voltar pra vida na superfície e ela já foi tratando ele como mãe o abraçando daquele jeito no mesmo dia que o conheceu. After having finished Undertale (Neutral and Pacifist) I'm not sure if it makes Toriel's immediate assumption of parental figure more or less creepy considering she's a mother in mourning...

Well, technically it's based on the text font named after the word for ancient paper, but other than that yeah
