- In today's mod for Undertale, I have to complete a Genocide run where every enemy is random. From Froggit in CORE to Sans in Ruins, results are unpredictable and hilarious!

It's more like Undyne is a heroic antagonist. As opposed to Frisk (the player) taking on a villain protagonist role in genocide.

this are the definition of both words, theh have nothing to do with morality of the character
Imagine if Sans's kr damage actually scaled down because you were lower level, effectively proving the theory true. Obviously Toby wasn't gonna code that but it'd be neat.
Wait was not it stated? I thought it was official and not just a theory, however obviously in the game it wasn't gonna be coded because you're only supposed to be able to fight sans just in the end of the genocide route and not any other moment

After the fight the game stops on frame x and checks if some variable >0 and if so goes to a separate timeline, the separate timeline finishes the conversation and increments that variable by -1. That variable is the same variable that gets incremented by +1 after the sans fight.
Then the main timeline resumes and sees that variable is still >0, goes to the same other timeline and repeats.

I've never watched your content before but holy shit that last encounter had me screaming, that was so hype! Obviously I wanted that to happen but I thought there's no way in hell, the chances of that happening are SO low. I'm so happy fate decided it was meant to be.
The fact that Undyne’s encounter became a Whimsalot and Astigmatism and Sans’s encounter became Undyne is just insane

From teaming up with his father, to killing everyone he knows and loves, to taking Papyrus’ place in Snowden, to fighting you before you even meet Papyrus, to showing up twice, one of those times being in Ruins. i just wanted to point out that it's kinda cool that at 31:59, Sans mentions something about "how about we do this for the third time?" despite the fact that the Judgement Hall should be the first time you encounter Sans, because of the previous two encounters in entirely different areas.

Slightly relevant fun fact; Toby originally planned for Geno Route to delete your game entirely, but didn't know where the uppercase was necessary in listing the deleted program en-script, so he used FIVE takes on the filename; From lower case to all caps. It never made it in, obviously, but it's still in the code to this day.

@@generallyunimportant We're made aware that wind and sound can't exist in space, yeah, but this is a literal void. No space, no laws of physics or anything, just a void, like a massive open cavern with no source of light anywhere, stretching for miles and miles. It's also less a case of 'Chara takes your soul and runs off with it' and more 'You're making a deal with a devil that you yourself created'. They're still there no matter how many runs you do afterwards, you just simply don't have your 'soul', even if your SOUL is still there, if that makes sense.
Again, a lot of it is open to interpretation. That's the huge appeal of the game, what with a lack of protagonist gender, the crippling moral decisions, and the amount of unexplained stuff that's just 'there', like ol' 'Gaster'. Ain't my place to say what is or isn't; I'm just tossing in my two cents.

Randomizer is taking these games by storm and I absolutely love it.
I tried this mod out like 5 minutes ago (well thats when i completed it). I didnt realise if you die to a random boss, you have to do it again. I was just casually going through the ruins, then Undyne appeared outa nowhere. I fought UTU a whole 4 times during this mod, the ruins, snowdin, waterfall and core (counting the actual boss). I only fought sans at the sans corridor (luckily), but still beat him first try, i was a bit rusty, but i did it. I also very much enjoyed killing Jerry the way you do it, with the music and everything

I just came up with my own interpretation of the lore. Sans replaced those two monsters so he could get a quick buck since they had to replace Undyne because she had some stuff to do. He later asked Undyne to fight the human since he was extremely tired of all the work.

People have already started making mods like that for Chapters 1 and 2. But it's very buggy since it includes bosses aswell which may not work in other areas other than their intended ones.

Also, the game's not going to take 8 years to be finished, Ch. 2 took only one year to be finished, and it's almost nothing when considering the problems Toby Fox had during the development. Chapter 3 and 4 are almost finished and the game's going to release when Ch. 5 is finished, then we're going to have Chapter 6&7 as a dlc or update (it is unknown if they're going to release together). Also, the team is bigger now
