Guitar: 2004 Pepe Romero Jr. (www.guitarsalon.com/product-2...)
Here's Yenne Lee with her arrangement of the Joseph Kosma standard Autumn Leaves. She's playing a great 2004 Pepe Romero Jr. classical guitar in cedar and maple. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.
Huge thanks to the folks at Apogee Electronics (ApogeeDigital.com) for the use of their Ensemble interface in these recordings.

Thank you. Could not find her online. Remarkably accurate finger placement and I love the chords strummed as if by harpsichord.

She got already married to some Korean artist.

I think that is the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard. My wife and I are separating and hearing this eloquent yet achingly emotionally raw rendition makes me want to cheer and sob at the same time. She took a standard that I usually think of as cute and fun and made it into something that moves me like a shakespearean tragedy. Forgive my ramblings, this woman is a sublime artist.
whenever i'm uneasy or having a bad day i always come back to this video, it puts my soul at ease
To everyone who wants to try this, keep practicing, you can do this! I know it's hard at the beginning but imagine how proud you'll be if you master this beautiful arrengement!!
I like the optimism & positivity in your statement. Good to hear :-) Cheers !
This is one beautiful ❤️ arrangement, hats off to the person who designed it. Better than original.
why bother, just listen to this piece then :) That's all I'm thinking when I hear this
Yes! the song that made me fall in love with classical music is a piece I can play anytime now. Practice, practice and practice!

She plays so calmly and effortless, yet the sounds she makes are so impactful. Completely outstanding
Sounds like garbage honestly
Impactful (impacted) can be used to describe the inability to pass solid stools when one suffers from constipation, so yes, you are correct.

Effortless is the result of great efforts.
She is really feeling the music and is playing with a lot of heart. Also she is not overplaying, but is nailing all of the themes and key melodies. Just beautiful, what a player.
Agree..
Definitely. I sometimes find musicians try to over complicate things, adding too many licks, hammerons etc.
This lady plays according to the heart, and the beauty of the music speaks for itself.
I approve your statement. Bonjour.
Yes, that word - not overplayinng
But can she play Smoke on the Water?
¡¡¡Bravo!!!

@michael stephens Yes, Gently weeps
When I feel confused, in the dark, overwhelmed, lazy, or whatever that is not good, I come to this video, close my eyes, listen to the end and I somehow feel that tomorrow's going to be better. There is deep sense of longing and yet, it feels like home.
Her posture, feel, crescendo and diminuendo - really world class. Wish I had this kind of talent on the guitar
“Autumn Leaves" is a popular song and jazz standard composed by Joseph Kosma in 1945 with original lyrics by Jacques Prévert in French (original French title: "Les Feuilles mortes"), and later by Johnny Mercer in English. An instrumental version by pianist Roger Williams was a number one best-seller in the US Billboard charts of 1955.
Thanks.
Thanks! your comment should be pinned!
Thanks great info! Is one of my favorite songs 🎵
Very informative, thank you. It’s a great tune, isn’t it? It stays with me for hours after i hear it, every time.
I should like to add that this arrangement is not merely lovely but also demonstrates the versatility of sounds this instrument can provide the accomplished player.
😊

How did you go about learning it?
@@thebeatman3289 Well, it's simple. I divided it into 4 part (each part has an "ending" sound to it) and practice it gradually, play it over and over again until I get the hang of the finger position then listen to this for more reference. It's 100% not very effective but it works for me.
I already finished to learn it and I already had concert with it. This video motivated me.

Guitar: don't even think about it

I would try! Been playing for about 2.5 years and can play through it. It will take a lot more time to get to the mastery of these players in guitar salon, but you'll never get there if you don't try
Try your hands, don't blame the guitar
bruh my guitar is watching me from the corner of my room, taunting me, daring me to play it like this

she is so beautiful and so talented, how can some one dislike this masterpiece?
I've listened to at least a dozen guitar renditions of this beautiful song and none of them compare to this one. With the others I can clearly hear their struggle through the choppy jumps between cords. Yenne plays it so smooth and natural, with every note falling gently and naturally into place.
One of my all time favorite standards. I'm self taught and after months and months of practice I'm so so glad I get to play this piece. Thank you for reminding me my love for guitar Ma'am.

Its september. And this great lady makes me happy
So cute and Talented!
The transition at 1:11 is just magnificent and smooth
This song, her song, brings tears to my eyes. To me, her song is not a longing for a lost love, but a farewell to youth. Winter is, well, the end. Just my take.
"Mais la vie separe ceux qui s’aiment
Tout doucement sans faire de bruit
Et la mer efface sur le sable les pas des amants desunis"

Merci beaucoup, charmante Yenne Lee, pour cette longue et merveilleuse version "des feuilles mortes" qui vous tirent les larmes des yeux.

You know this sounds so beautiful when you are literally still having goosebumps after looping for N times
Such amazing musicality and discipline. When Ms Lee moves into the final passage of the song at 5:00 she begins playing the lower strings in a sotto voce that draws you in and at that point she has made you part of the song and the experience.
She displays a mastery of what every musician should have as their goal, that is to be able to play and feel the song deeply, as she obviously does. And then to move the listener so that they share in the feeling.
I can listen to this again and again and again. So I just listened to it again. So soothing... c💖😌😌😌
