Greetings from Finland! This band from my home country started as a joke. However, their debut album "Brothers in Farms" made #1 on BIllboard's ranking of bluegrass albums 21st Sept. 2016. That same day was declared as their memorial day in the state of Colorado by it's governor. Not bad for a band that started as a joke. Nowadays they are huge even in the U.S. in the bluegrass scene. Take care & stay safe.
Jimmie I haven’t seen them live yet, but I just bought tickets a few hours ago to their gig in 🇫🇮 next week. Would be an amazing end to the lockdown in Europe...
How ya Jimmie, 3 of my friends got to see em live (I was working). But as you said, they say twas best live gig they'd been to in 20yrs (😪😪😪😪& I missed it)
The most amazing thing about this rendition is that the anvil just happens to be in the exact same key as the song. If the anvil were slightly larger or smaller it would be completely off-key.
I love these guys. So inventive and talented. To hear the music I love played in a different way is great to me. It also shows the greatness of the original song.
“What just happened” is the perfect response to that. Normally it’s in awe and amazement but.. I didn’t hesitate to click as soon as I saw it was SteveN’Seagulls
HAHA... Yeah, those guys do some good stuff. That guy on banjo is nutz man. Love the wrench on an anvil, spoons, mandolin, accordion, super creative. I think they might have taken the movie "Deliverance" a little too seriously but they are cool. They've got some other vids that are all just incredible. Thanks Tarmo for that insight, I had no idea of any of that. They could be from East Tennessee no questions asked! HAHA!!!
The most famous bluegrass group that remade many classics are from the States called The Cleverly's. Loser, Thunderstruck, Milkshake, No Diggity, Low, I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), Single Ladies, Walk Like An Egyptian, Say My Name, Party Rock Anthem, I Gotta Feelin', Gangam Style, The Lazy Song, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Thrift Shop, I Kissed a Girl, She Ain't There, What's Up and Forget You are good ones.
I can't blame your daughter for having confused and uncertain feelings about this video. Saw this a while ago and after watching it felt like I had a big cartoon question mark over my head. I'm still not sure what to make of it except to say this is one exceedingly talented bunch of musicians.
Steve'n'Seagulls are great. I particularly love their version of Offspring's Self Esteem. In perhaps something of the same vein (not in musical style mind you), you should check out Leningrad Cowboys if you haven't already. They're also from Finland.
Most people probably wouldn't know what to say about that video... But the musicianship was that at 10 I got to say that... I'm probably not going to crank that CD in my car when I'm driving but I do respect their musicianship
Hayseed dixie is an American band that does a similar thing. Started off with AC/DC but also do a lot of other songs from Britney Spears to Aerosmith 👍 seen them live in Glasgow a few years back. They were phenomenal 😀 also seen 2 of the guys playing the same banjo that night! 🤣🤣 there was a story ( not sure how true) of the brothers in the band, there father wrote duelling banjos .
What strikes me about the original version of this song is the passage of time. It first came out when I was in high school. For me Back In Black and the Bon albums were a long time ago and I understood Razor's Edge to be something of a comeback album. There are certainly teen and twenty-somethings today that are fans of the band. But to somebody your daughter's age, it's all compressed together; Razor's Edge isn't a decade removed from BIB. All of those albums are before her time, and she's just listening to individual singles as opposed to knowing where the band is the way she probably does with current groups she listens to. I was actually thinking about that in general about the Razor's Edge album the other day.
I like Steve'n'Seagulls. Still have to see them live when they come to Germany next time. I was able to see an american band of a similar flavour last year: Hayseed Dixie. They are somewhat similar in style and on the scene for a bit longer. Maybe check them out?
I saw the title and wondered if this was the version I saw some time ago. It was. How can you go wrong with spoons and an anvil? Okay, maybe add some cowbell. I personally loved it, but I love the weird mixes.
Annie's face reaction to that is gold, she's like "what the f am I hearing right now"😂😂. You should do some reactions to some stuff by The Who, some of their older live stuff when they were still a bit mad!
I believe Annie has just found her newest instrument to learn. And it's not to expensive. The spoons!!!!! Annie looks confused, but very focused. 🤓😎🤪🎳🎺
Check out some of Rob Scallon's work here on youtube. He's done Slayer with a banjo, a shovel guitar and all sorts of amazing things. I get Annie's point of view. It's a very nuanced and layered band/song to interpret.
Are you guys in Iceland? Looking at the picture on your wall. It's quite a trick to transform metal songs in entirely new genre of music. There's no hate in the comments section of this band, their videos are funny and music is strangely clever and quite good country: a feel good band. The banjo player also has a good singing voice, I like their "November Rain" where he sings. Two days ago they publish new own song, "Sweet Maria."
Not quite sure what to think of this as im a huge ac⚡dc fan this is the first time seeing this im kinda in the same boat as her with basically the same look of sheer perplexity on my face
The look your daughter gave you when you tried to explain the video to her,,,is the same look I get from my son when I'm trying to explain The music I grew up with
You'll have to check out Gangstagrass next. It turns out that Bluegrass is like the glue that connects all musical traditions it comes into contact with.
They're just waiting for the sauna to heat up above 212f so they can have a sauna and a beer. And you should really listen to their cover of November rain or Nothing else matters. Both brilliant versions.
After doing this, you really need to do the Leningrad Cowboys, especially any song they did with the Red Army Choir. They are also a Finish band. They do a decent version of Stairway to Heaven, plus a lot of other songs. But I think they would be a really fun one to check out.
I like a lot of their Pantera cover, Cemetery Gates. It is both touching and fun. I am not even so much into Pantera. Maybe that's why I like it, as it seems to be too much for many Pantera fans. I don't however find it at all diminishing (as some seem to think), but as great tribute to legendary band instead.
If you liked this, there is also a banjo cover of Slipknot's Psychosocial with Leo Moracchioli doing a guest spot on vocals. ua-cam.com/video/QhXHINK7-o4/v-deo.html
Stankface 2.0 after this video was finished 🤣 Did you 2 watch 2 Cellos yet? They also bring out the weirdest reactions in people. Its like i imagine having seen 1 reaction to them from this channel, but cant say for certain. (Did a quick check, yeah you did theyr take on Nirvanas Smells Like Teen Spirit live)
They are talented musicians they a super hilarious and all their videos are well crafted too. So if you are familiar with the originals (how on earth not to) check out their covers of: Iron Maiden - Aces High GnR - November Rain Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long Pantera - I’m Broken Led Zeppelin - Black Dog Metallica - Nothing Else Matters Van Halen - Panama Just to start with.

yes Tarmo.. the suomi redneks bands is cooler,, and down to earth.
@@SuperDalton72 Thanks man - take care & stay safe.
Don't forget the Leningrad Cowboys: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leningrad_Cowboys ;-)
Tarmo
Your country produces awesome set of musicians especially Nightwish.
I must congratulate your country on behalf of my country (Australia). Bravo Finland!! These guys are awesome!!
I've seen this band live twice. Easily top 10 best live shows I've been to.
Jimmie I haven’t seen them live yet, but I just bought tickets a few hours ago to their gig in 🇫🇮 next week. Would be an amazing end to the lockdown in Europe...
How ya Jimmie, 3 of my friends got to see em live (I was working). But as you said, they say twas best live gig they'd been to in 20yrs (😪😪😪😪& I missed it)
That was actually amazing! Some real talent there.
The most amazing thing about this rendition is that the anvil just happens to be in the exact same key as the song. If the anvil were slightly larger or smaller it would be completely off-key.
That is a look of "Let us never speak of this moment again." and "Just, why....? "
Why not? 😜
Well, she almost had a reaction.
But daddy has plenty.
Awesome! I'm glad you picked out that one. :)
This was terrific! Made me an instant fan!
Great video! i bought their cd a long time ago, they have been on tour to the usa too i think, at least a lot in europe.
This is one of my favourite covers of this song
These guys tour the word. Got to see them in North Little Rock, Arkansas last year. Lots of fun!
You're daughter looks like she doesn't want to be there.....it's killin' the vibe man!
of course, she is like stfu dad can I go no please
Sort of a cross of cajun, blue grass and Celtic Irish and from Finland... blown away ... its Brilliant.
Annie's face during 99% of this was killing me. Hilarious! Love you guys and wishing you the best!!!!
HAHA... Yeah, those guys do some good stuff. That guy on banjo is nutz man. Love the wrench on an anvil, spoons, mandolin, accordion, super creative. These guys are unbelievable.🎼🎶🎵💖

Annie the look on your face is priceless. Love it
That band has some talent. Show her the video of 2 cellos doing Thunder Struck.
"What just happened?" She's trying not to smile.
I can't blame your daughter for having confused and uncertain feelings about this video. Saw this a while ago and after watching it felt like I had a big cartoon question mark over my head. I'm still not sure what to make of it except to say this is one exceedingly talented bunch of musicians.
I've often thought that Steven Seagull would be a great name for a cartoon vigilante action hero.
They're very funny. We saw them last year in Prague, that was awesome.
You should try Hayseed Dixie for bluesgrass!!!!! Saw them at a gig in Sheffield a few years back and they were frickin AWESOME ! 💪👏👏👏
Steve'n'Seagulls are great. I particularly love their version of Offspring's Self Esteem.
In perhaps something of the same vein (not in musical style mind you), you should check out Leningrad Cowboys if you haven't already. They're also from Finland.
What in the hill billy just happened! 😂😂😂 love your videos! Watching from the uk!
Most people probably wouldn't know what to say about that video...
But the musicianship was that at 10 I got to say that... I'm probably not going to crank that CD in my car when I'm driving but I do respect their musicianship
I think that's one of the coolest cover bands out there
I showed my 22 yr old a few seconds of this and she and I both kinda thought 'okaaayyy' don't hate it, but just don't know. Love Annie!
Okay it's Cover Time, would love to see you react to Eläkeläiset
Yay! More weird stuff from Finland! Totally agree! :)

Finally, so much fun.….next some Dropkick Murphy's!!
I loved this version.
Oh man, Annie's face! It was worth watching just for that.
the coo coo clock had perfect timing .
Now do the 2 cellos version. It kicks butt.
I saw the title and wondered if this was the version I saw some time ago. It was.
How can you go wrong with spoons and an anvil? Okay, maybe add some cowbell.
I personally loved it, but I love the weird mixes.
Those guys are GOOD!

This is the best cover anyone has ever made.
Anyway, I think you guys should react to Black Hole Sun, maybe she would like it.
Crazy dudes in Finland love these
Annie looks so confused! I’m right there with you, I’m like, what was that? And did I kinda like it a little?
Are you guys in Iceland? Looking at the picture on your wall.

Hello from finland! 🇫🇮 Keep safe and god bless.
There is nothing more Bluegrass or country... than playing a banjo with overalls and no shirt on,,,reminds me of my youth
Falling in reverse "popular monster" first reaction for both of you and number one rock song right now. Let's go!
It's coming up to the 10th anniversary of the passing of Chris Sievey AKA Frank Sidebottom.
It would be great to see a tribute to him on this channel!
We need a video for Annie's various reactions. LOL
Yeah this is awesome!!!! 😁🤘🤘
Nice😎. I suggested " Seek and Destroy" with them 1 year ago😉..you should do that also.😊
Annie OMG girl the look on your face is priceless 😀🤘👀
Not quite sure what to think of this as im a huge ac⚡dc fan this is the first time seeing this im kinda in the same boat as her with basically the same look of sheer perplexity on my face
Right, serious question, who was better at 25 years old Randy Rhoads or Slash?
In my opinion Randy Rhoads was better. Slash is good and was back then but Randy could flat out make that guitar wail.
The look your daughter gave you when you tried to explain the video to her,,,is the same look I get from my son when I'm trying to explain
The music I grew up with
As a Finn I approve this message
I've seen this several times and think that it is brilliant.
sugested them before in komments years ago. but cool your coming back from future!
I bought the whole album the first time I heard this track.
Are you at all familiar with the band "Hayseed Dixie"? They did the whole "Back in Black" album in a bluegrass style 10 or more years ago?
that banjo player is such a bad ass . lol
Girl cold what a shock 😂
This is awesome
Never heard this before personally I love it 👍
You'll have to check out Gangstagrass next. It turns out that Bluegrass is like the glue that connects all musical traditions it comes into contact with.
Just been doing a deep dive on your previous songs, please please do "don't you forget about me " with your daughter!!!
'Popular Monster '! & 'Drug's'& "Reamainged".. GET on to IT " Falling in Reverse.. Maybe both ur kids... Awesome Grammy WIN I think
They're just waiting for the sauna to heat up above 212f so they can have a sauna and a beer. And you should really listen to their cover of November rain or Nothing else matters. Both brilliant versions.
WOW!! That whas unexpected.
Had too rewatch it an BANJO dude dressed like Angus
After doing this, you really need to do the Leningrad Cowboys, especially any song they did with the Red Army Choir. They are also a Finish band. They do a decent version of Stairway to Heaven, plus a lot of other songs. But I think they would be a really fun one to check out.
There great 😂😂😍😍😍😍😍
More Steve N Seagulls! Might I recommend Cemetary Gate, their cover of a Pantera song.
There are several bluegrass bands doing great covers
Their versions of GNR’s November rain and Foofighters Pretender are great.
The big Guy was not late.. he never was.. just on time 🙂
They really need to expand the group. They need washboard and a jug player then they'll be complete.
lots more groups out there like them .
lol. 4:27 did I detect a little awkwardness out of dad at the line about the dancers?
LOL 1:39 young lady boredom quotient: 95+%
7:00 0pen snark

I raised two daughters and I know that look ! The yawn when it started is all you need to know...
Hey Glitch in the Matrix, can u do a 14 year old reaction video to the 2CELLOS version of this song.
Her face is like: "Ok what just happened?"
they do a great cover of the Trooper by Iron Maiden also
Tell Annie…music is about jamm’in with friends…dude plays some mean spoons 🥄😬
If you liked this, there is also a banjo cover of Slipknot's Psychosocial with Leo Moracchioli doing a guest spot on vocals.

Stankface 2.0 after this video was finished 🤣 Did you 2 watch 2 Cellos yet? They also bring out the weirdest reactions in people. If you like these guys you should check out Hayseed Dixie. They've been doing tunes like this for as long as I can remember.
Was on their love in Moscow, they cool and fun.
Check them out playing november rain.
If you like out there bluegrass, check out the Cleverlys' Single Ladies cover. ua-cam.com/video/FW8F_kWueLs/v-deo.html
They are talented musicians they a super hilarious and all their videos are well crafted too. So if you are familiar with the originals (how on earth not to) check out their covers of:
Iron Maiden - Aces High
GnR - November Rain
Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Pantera - I’m Broken
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
