@@TheWolffAndTheMelody New subscriber here. I had to sub after seeing your genuine excitement and enjoyment for hearing these songs for the first time. I loved it. Also, since you enjoyed this so much I recommend you check out a band called Native Howl doing their song Harvester of Constant Sorrow. (Mashup of Harvester of Sorrow by Metallica and The song Man of Constant Sorrow). You won't be disappointed. 😂
Their live shows are amazing. Pantera Cemetary gates cover at NYC had even live audience. Usually they play live show videos in the middle of nowhere with less than 3 spectators.
First time I heard this one. But I heard so many other songs from them, I trusted they can do something wonderful with it, and yeah, was not disapointed! It was a beautiful take! Such a fun band to follow.
This is absolutely amazing, I definitely need to look into this group more. Glad I was here to see this, thanks for the introduction! Love finding new stuff, and his voice and their harmonies are amazing. One more thing, i've never been moved by puppetry before, tick that off the list.
@@tribblefluffer Wow I use to listen to their stuff back when they preformed live with a drummer that used a big wood box and kickpeadle, and netalsmithing big irom thing for a symbol.... go check out their older stuff
Steve'n Seagulls have atually done a cover of Nightwish's Sleeping Sun ft Tarja guesting on vocals you mustn't miss it! Also Wishmaster misheard lyrics is a blast. Sleeping Sun: ua-cam.com/video/9sBFqnuHig0/v-deo.html Misheard Lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/gg5_mlQOsUQ/v-deo.html Enjoy!
😂😂 Yes I've seen them, lots of fun. I enjoyed their version of AC/DC Thunderstruck too. There is also a video with NW former singer Tarja believe it or not, doing NW Sleeping Sun. A fun one to keep in mind once you've done Tarja songs and Sleeping Sun reactions.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody It's in their series called Eagles Nest that they made during covid when there was no gigs. There is bunch of big Finnish metal musicians as quests and they have these challenges they do for fun and at the end play a song with the quest.
ive loved steve n seagulls for severap years extremely talented musicians many of their covers are better than the originals listen to all and be amazed Go Remmel, Herman and Hiltunen!
Hilarious! :D You should check their November Rain as suggested in the comments already. Also The Seagull's nest -episodes had great songs for instance with Noora Louhimo and Tarja Turunen. :)
Hi Steve n seagulls also they do Thunderstruck and also with Tarja. The songs with Tarja are Sleeping Sun and Until my Last breath. With Tarja there was a whole video with thesongs in it. They also do Iron Maidens Trooper
Hopefully you will do more of them, they do some great covers..... different but still great.and they're not making fun of the music just their version
Some good additions to your journey to Finnish heavy metal genre would be e.g. something that we have for our kids: Hevisaurus - 100 ua-cam.com/video/lKImPsjpGjQ/v-deo.html . This is their 100th song and they invited their friends to sing and play with them. You will see some familiar faces in the guest list. This band has seriously talented musicians so do not let the costumes fool you. Also remember to enable subtitles. Other Who's who in Finnish metal scene song is Tuska20 - The Anniversary Song ua-cam.com/video/nc8YSkGxsGA/v-deo.html . This is anniversary song for The Finnish Heavy Metal Festival featuring most of the big names in Finnish metal scene. Anywho just continue your journey as it is really nice to see your reactions to many of my favorite bands includig Nightwish.
The funniest part is this was sponsored by a farm tractor brand 😀. This band has a lot of glorious takes on classic songs. One of the recents I like especially is with Noora Louhimo (of Battle Beast) covering Janis Joplin classic Piece of My Heart. It's both hilarious and immensely powerful at the same time.
They are also *extremely* skilled. Most of their videos in UA-cam are one take live sessions, and it takes hell of a lot of skill to play with such rag tag set of intruments without sounding ridiculous or lacking _and_ find the core of each song and translate it over to a different genre.
DUDE! Dude, man. Dude....I refused to cut my hair until i head banged at a Metallica concert, finally 2 years into college, I could go, here in ATL. Awesome, neck sore i cut it the next day. You should check their version of "thunderstruck" out next. I'm so glad you pointed out the harmonies in the voices, stellar performance. I think they enjoy twistting peoples assumptions. As always, preach the message. So enjoy digging into your catalog. 🤫
And that is banjo you are listening... not electric guitar :'D!! They have so many amazing Metal covers (actually Blue grass covers :'D)!! This rabbit hole goes deep! I call it Blue Metal! Thunderstruck (AC / DC), The Trooper (Iron Maiden), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Cemetery Gates (Pantera), The Pretender (Foo Fighters) are just some of their gems!
Saw these guys in a small club in Brooklyn. Few of them are lumberjacks. I asked the giant about revenue sharing requirements and he said it’s normal to pay original artists but “yeah metallic is the most demanding” lol
Very talented group I do love there instrument abilities I don't think I would listen to them regularly, just not my cup of tea but l will give them a chance with a couple of other song just because of the talent, oh by the way I grew up listening to metallica even seen them live, went to a lot of concert until the music here in the USA went to crap God bless
Unpopular opinion, but I personally love their version of the Trooper the best, while most tend to love their Thunderstruck the most. Both of which, I absolutely recommend you check out
If Metallica is important to you, you *have* to see the video that Tarja released just a few days ago. It's a classical approach to "The unforgiven", played at a church in Wacken! ua-cam.com/video/QqTAIqiuJRw/v-deo.html

November Rain will never be the same! For the better
Master Musicians with tongues firmly implanted in cheek.
This old Valmet tractor here is called "Piikkilangan kiristäjä'" in Finnish... Barbed wire tensioner in English!
The fact that they have flame pots in the barn is awesome

The drummer is using a briefcase/luggage as a base on that ... he just doesnt care and simply does it.
Oh yeah, this Finnish folk-metal band is an experience! Banjos are pretty badass
😂 Thank you... Love your NW journey, but hey there's lots of pearls. Keep em coming.

This was fun. I have never seen this before. Love the banjo playing the transition.
that banjo tone was so affective

I have to see em!
They are a great liveband. I’ve seen them 3 times. The banjo playing 🪕🤘
That was fun! Their cooperation with Tarja on a Nightwish song is also really worth watching!
That was a fun time when they had guests, Noora Louhimo visited as well.

"There is a lot to unpack" #2 comment
I need to do another reaction
Please do a double reaction to Sleeping Sun by Nightwish and then these guys with Tarja!
