@@Nougatbars Eh, Spring Man and Clown Man are only grapplers in the "these would work as Arms characters" sense, but, based on their actual fighting styles, Clown Man would be identified as a speedy hit and run fighter and Spring Man would probably be defined as an Aerial Zoner with a long PUNCH. They're not really grab based fighters. Zangief, Jax, King, Shermie.
This legend was making a top 100 comic of the year for so long, each video was over 1 hour long. I mean each year 4 parts each 100 hours long and add 10~20 bonus. Also the horror movies marathon each year where he review a movie each day They didn't do will, I'm happy that his new channel do great now
it's more than what Capcom's done or might ever do, bc they're just the DMC/Street Fighter/Monster Hunter company (nothing against any of those series, but i am miffed over no announcement of Megaman 12 in all of 2022)
@@Vee_Sheep Why is Street Fighter and DMC there? Street Fighter games take years to come out after a new one releases and DMC had a 10 year hiatus and probably is over after Itsuno said he wanted to move on from the series. I agree with Monster Hunter(ResidentEvil should be there as well)
@@Bowl-0f-Soup Bandai Namco does have VERY different vibes from Neatherrealm doe.... It'd almost be like DC vs Capcom in style, but with a different rooster still.
@@marveldcextinctionwrestler7773 Why not both? MK vs DC might be Nether Realm's answer to MvC, but Bandai Namco is nothing like NetherRealm Studios, and DC is pretty different from Marvel.
Fun Fact: The one who made the decision to rename the X5 characters after Guns N Roses was Alyson Court. She Voiced Jubilee in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Superheroes and Claire Redfield in several Resident Evil games. But depending on your age you might know her best as Loonette the clown on the Big Comfy Couch.
She played Jubilee in the 90s X-Men cartoon as well. One of her lesser-known roles is Aqune from the mid-00s anime Spider Riders which features Lawrence Bayne (Cable in X-Men/MvC2, Urien/Necro/Twelve/Gill in 3rd Strike, and the announcer in MvC2) as the main antagonist, Lord Mantid. also, if it were up to me, X7 would've been dubbed in Toronto just like RE2, RE3, RE0, RECV, Mega Man Legends, DMC1, and Dino Crisis
The idea of having unlockable “echo fighters” of characters through their alternate dimension variants would actually be pretty sick, especially if they have one or two different specials and a new super.
That... That would be a perfect solution. Not every variant is 1:1, but when they're similar enough, just a couple specials and one super would be enough to differentiate, make them unique and at the very least try to represent stuff from the original games.
@@blok--head7472 theres a lot of thibgs for zero, you could also make Omega an echo just a larger slower more powerfull version of zero with one or two new moves
I greatly disagree with your idea for Proto Man being a highly defensive character. If anything, he should be a glass cannon with some defensive options since he has an unstable power core that causes him to take double damage, but also shoots fully charged buster shots all the time. Another moveset I have problems with is MegaMan.EXE becoming nerfed when he runs out of chips to use and having no way to get them back. A big part of the game is that you're always getting more chips even when you've cycled through your entire folder, so EXE could have a special that reloads his current supply of chips. He could spend a bar to increase his total max number of chips. And come on, not even giving him a set of his Soul Unison or Cross Systems as powers?
For megaman.exe make it so he builds meter very slowly by normal means and only has 1 meter to fill. But his specials cost chips not meter. When his meter is full he has 2 specials that use it; 1 refills his chips, the other costs a chip and his full meter for an install for soul unison. For the soul unison having it boost his specials is self-balancing as you have to fill the meter without using too many chips so you have some for the install so you have to hold back for more power later. For his big supers have them cost 3 chips and be the program advances to use as maybe high-cost combo enders or high-cost reads.
I argue Zero from the Zero series could be his own character, specially with his arsenal having multiple weapons that are different from the Z saber and Buster (pistol?), so you could had a all-around character with more complexity because you could change half of his moves depending on your selected sub-weapon.
fun note: MMZ Zero was already in a fighting game, SNK Vs Capcom: SVC Chaos Also in that game was one of the martians from Metal Slug. And Violent Ken from that one Switch release of Street Fighter 2!
Star Force was actually the series that got me into the Mega Man games, so I will also be insane and build a Star Force roster. Mega Man - Obviously the all-around-er. I'd love to incorporate the Star Force/Tribe Force/Noise Force transformations in some way, but I'll leave that to somebody more familiar than me with general fighting game stuff to figure out. Harp Note - She uses exclusively ranged attacks in the games, so I'd have her as a basic zoner. Taurus Flame - Big, slow, and bulky, relying mainly on melee attacks with one dash to get across the stage quickly. Cygnus Wing - A basic aerial combatant Queen Ophiuca - She's centered around poison in the games, so she'd have to be centered around life-sapping in some way Gemini Spark - You already talked about him Wolf Woods - Easily the most popular optional boss in the trilogy (not counting post-game bosses). He'd be a crazy-fast melee character, possibly somehow incorporating his gimmick of getting buffed when the clouds part to reveal the full moon behind him on his boss stage Dark Phantom - I'd draw more on his third game moveset than his second to make him a zoner with a higher evasion focus than Harp Note Rogue - Speaking of evasion focus, he'd have a massive focus on evasion and defense, with quick movement and melee attacks that may not hit hard but can combo easily Kung Foo Kid - Probably similar to Rogue in that he has a heavy combo focus, but maybe lower the speed a bit in favor of more attack power. Also possibly incorporate his healing ability. Apollo Flame - Another zoner, probably with some ability to leave behind fire hazards on the stage Diamond Ice - She controls two large chunks of ice to defend herself and use in most of her attacks, which could be adapted into a pretty unique playstyle Club Strong - Even bigger, slower, and bulkier than Taurus Flame with attacks that hit like a truck Acid Ace - Basically Mega Man but speed him up and make his attacks a bit weaker Dread Joker - Basically Mega Man but slow him down and make his attacks a bit stronger. Also possibly give him the ability to restrict enemy movement some? Jack Corvus - An aerial fighter similar to Cygnus Wing, but a bit faster and with a really solid ranged option or two Queen Virgo - A slow and defensively focused fighter, decent at dealing damage but more focused on outlasting her opponents Sirius - Easily the most popular post-game boss in the trilogy, probably a zoner with some solid defense options
As another die hard megaman starforce fan, I am beyond happy you included all the post game and optional bosses. If I may, I will add my most wanted and beloved boss: Moon Destroyer. I see him as an all-rounder, great conversion and up-close pressure with the spins and kicks his bossfight showcases, but also has ranged options like his moon cutter, just a strong pick for anyone who loves having control over the space and pressure.
Think it'd be cool if Geo had Area Eater and his lockon dash as basic specials. The Noise changes could potentially be used as a stance change for the base moveset, and Finalization can be treated as a super mode that only activates after getting enough Noise Waves as a sort of rage meter.
For the MMX-specific roster, the only character I would add is Marino from Command Mission. Aside from fulfilling the ninja archetype and adding another female character to a mostly-male roster, it also brings in a character from a non-platforming X game.
Just a bit of a bummer that ZX was left behind. I know technically adding Aile/Vent could possibly bloat the number of Mega Men in the roster but basically everyone capable of fusing with biometals in ZX is called a Mega Man. Plus, Vent/Aile as well as Grey/Ashe could be great stance characters, using their transformations as variant movesets
Oh yeah he really didn't mention it at all. I think he considers it under the same umbrella as mmz is why. Not incorrect technically but still it's own thing largely. Still he went above and beyond for the vid, so not mad
@@MagillanicaLouM I'm not mad, just a bit sad because I really like ZX as a part of the franchise. Technically, ZX is a sequel to MMZ as much as MMZ is a sequel to MMX
@@MagillanicaLouM true and it would be a little Hippocratic of us ask more rosters after he made 3 for the more popular series. Still, I would love if he made legends a cameo character in the classics series and StarForce on the battle network roster
I think there should be 2 secret bosses, CvS2-style: Dr. Weil/Model W and Bass.exe, to represent both timelines. Weil's the most destructive villain in the main timeline and he'd likely hate EVERYONE on the roster, even the other villains. I could imagine he finally regains his consciousness as Model W, but he's even more twisted than before and simply wants to keep taking revenge on the world, so he takes advantage of Sigma's plot in secret to destroy the entire Mega Man timeline and also the Battle Network timeline while he's at it. DLC characters: -Tundra Man (wtf, you make a big deal out of elements but don't include any ice elemental characters) -Splash Woman -Bass -Duo -Axl -Colonel -An ACTUAL MMZ-era Zero with a bunch of his other weapons -Hidden Phantom -Phoenix Magnion -Prometheus and Pandora (either taking separate slots or being one character) -Master Albert -Martial Artist Dr. Light, because you HAVE to include that joke somewhere
I'd love it if Light was instead a secret character instead. Make his unlock criteria crazy hard, but if you manage to get him, he'd be the most overpowered character in the game as a joke. It could also reference how the hadoken and shoruken Light teaches X can 1 shot almost any enemy.
This is honestly maybe my favorite series on UA-cam. Every entry is such a banger, and the production value that goes in just makes each video feel like such an event. Premium content, every time. I don't even care about Megaman and I'm still over here getting hype.
If you want a Mega Man fighting game, there's a really solid fan game called Mega Man Arena which is basically a platformer in the style of a classic Mega Man game. Its got a really big roster that's still expanding and has a pretty niche but dedicated competitive scene
I don't know if you've read about the Sonic/Mega Man comic series; "Worlds Collide" and "Worlds Unite" or not, but what do you think a roster would look like in a "Sega vs. Capcom" game?
I'm still of the opinion it should just be "Sonic vs Mega Man". Worlds Collide, which did try to be Sega vs Capcom, was a disaster, and there's already a ton of potential in both Sonic and Mega Man's own universes.
For as... SVC Chaos-y SVC Chaos was, its depiction of Zero was so good. MMZ Zero uses way more than just his sword, and I think a version of him that uses his shield, arm, rods and chains would be SO killer. Yea sure, MMX is more iconic, but MMZ still has many of those elemental input attacks! So something that combined those with the other weapons of the Zero series would be perfect tbh
Reason why I don't like the whole making MMZ Zero just a skin. Like c'mon, he is already different enough from his MMX with the many weapons from his own series and ex skills, why do they have write him off like that? Sure two Zeros in the game already but they wouldn't be clones.
Yeah that's something that's serially overlooked-- Zero fights very differently in his own games than he does in the X series. You could easily have honest rushdown X series Zero and then MVC-style Dante weaponmaster Zero series Zero with a bunch of different special chains based off of the different weapons he uses.
When he said Shadow Mantis I was surprised asf, I mean X8 doesn't have the most memorable bosses, I would have chosen Trilobyte or Pandamonium for a regular boss but Lumine fits much more than Mantis.
I think the problem with Lumine is twofold: He's a Humanoid character and we already have so many candidates for those, and we only have one game to go off of considering that he's humanoid, so why not just include a standard Maverick rep.
23:43 That's not what happened. Originally he was supposed to be gone after the first game, but proved to be too popular. Mega Man X5 was meant to be the end of the X series, though there was no actual intention of getting rid of him for good that time around. The Zero games were already being planned. He would be heavily damaged and then stored away in the area he wakes up in the first Zero. Not to mention there was no Copy X at first; it was originally going to be X himself having turned evil for whatever reason. Also, Zero's ending in X6 is canonically the very last onscreen event of the X games. It takes place long after X8. In a way, Inafune got what he wanted. Zero actually began as one of X's early designs but was deemed too much of a departure.
Personally, I am VERY happy that these hypothetical rosters are avoiding a DBFZ issue of Too Many Gokus. While this is meant to be for Mega Man's anniversary, the franchise has so many cool protags, antags, robot masters, mavericks, the last two especially really only exist to be a cool boss fight then die, which for me is one of the biggest issues I have with it. You did a great job at fitting as many characters in this as you could.
I see the title Megaman Fighters and I immediately think back to the MM arcade games: Power Battle & Power Fighters. Building a hypothetical sequel to those games sound AWESOME! Both games had you select characters such as Megaman, Protoman, and Bass; and you essentially go through a boss rush of an assorted group of robot masters. And you fight them similarly as you do in the proper Megaman games. Although thinking about the title more, the topic maybe of doing a more traditional fighting game format. Which still sounds cool, and if it pulls from each of the different series' that comprise the franchise that is going to be interesting! Maybe the follow up to Power Battle & Power Fighters idea could fit for 'Let's Make a Sequel'.
I was expecting axl to have a move where he shoots the oppenent with a copy shot which alows him to temporary play as the opponents character like shang tsung With some limitations like him not being able to use their supers
It would be cool to have a Ginyu-esk fighter utilizing some of the more obscure classic series characters like the killers, satrdroids or the Genisis Unit. Have someone like Sunstar for example having several moves where he summons the other stardorids (who can be interrupted if hit) could be an interesting way to make a zoner while not giving them some sort of minion/puppet gimmick
As someone who's wanted a Megaman fighting game for a while now, I've been anticipating this video scince it was announced. I have a feeling you won't disappoint. Outside of your usual videos I've always wanted to see a video comparing and discussing the different input styles of fighting games (like MVC inputs, Netherrealm game inputs, etc). Could be ranking or just general discussion but input styles is something I rarely see discussed so it would be interesting to see video cover the topic. Edit: 4 Rosters! You went hard for this anniversary. Personally thought Starforce should've got one but I completely get why it didn't.
Four rosters for the price of one? Wow. Nice job on this one, Thorgi. In terms of my thoughts on the rosters, the Crossover Roster feels pretty good, though I'd probably have Zero be in his Mega Man Zero design as the default to represent that series more. You also didn't represent ZX at all, which I think is a missed opportunity. I think the X roster is great, though I'd put at least one Command Mission character in the roster, and the EXE roster is solid, though it has some odd picks and some odder exclusions, like not having Colonel.EXE or a Navi representing Mr.Match. The Classic roster is the one I have the most notable issues with, though there aren't many. I just don't think you needed to repeat Mega Man 2 and 4 for the Robot Masters on the roster, and one from each should be replaced with someone from Mega Man 7 (I'd go with Slash Man, you straight up say he inspired BeastMan.EXE and that he would play like Wolverine, so I don't see why you couldn't do that for Classic Slash Man) and Mega Man and Bass (I'd go with Magic Man, mainly due to him being the most visually and thematically unique out of his game's bosses.) Oh, and I'd probably throw in Sunstar from Mega Man V on the Game Boy as a secret boss in the Classic fighting game because I just think he's cool, and it would be a neat surprise.
Very much agree with having Sunstar in there somewhere; V was easily the most unique of the Gameboy titles and having a Stardroid rep would be sick as hell
Sunstar or any of the Megaman killers (Punk, Enker, Quint and Balade) are a great option but If you really want the most obscure character from the classics series he could've use Ra Thor from Super Adventure Rockman which was one of the final bosses from that weird FPS game
I'll build my own line of DLC for the base game. I'm gonna assume this game would get 2 seasons of DLC and 5 characters each. Season 1: I venture to guess it would be based around bringing fan favorites that couldn't make it in. -Cutman. He's an iconic robot master next to Guts Man, you know he'd make it if they couldn't squeeze Guts Man in. -Craft (MMZ). Personally this is just a me pick, but I can totally see him popping up in this game somewhere, plus his boss fight is great fighting game moveset material. -General (MMX). A massive hulk of muscle that played a big role in the game he was in. Could see him being a tank. -Volnutt. Despite being plenty of Megamen in this game, Volnutt has a dedicated following, and plus Capcom did him dirty with cancelling Legends 3 so at least they can make it up to the fans by throwing him in this game. TVC already gives us an idea how he'd play. -Axl. The newer MMX games play him up as a big deal despite barely doing anything with him in promotion, but he still has his own following that will wanna see him pop up somewhere. Season 2: I wanna base this off odd picks that otherwise can't make it in, just to keep people guessing who's next. -Vent/Aile (ZX). The Legacy collection did pretty good, yet these two never get attention outside of their games. I wouldn't count this as doubling up since they're too unique from MegaMan to count as one. They could be alts for eachother and share a spot. -Sheep Man. If you know you know. This guy was a big meme back then and he's just too funny not to consider. -Servbot. MVC2 has shown these guys can fight on their own, and yet it would be completely fitting for this theme to throw them in. -Ciel. This might seem too out there, but if we assume Zero in this game would only have his X moveset because costume, then we can throw in Ciel and give her some of the Cyber Elf and other abilities Zero would have in those games, plus we can have Passy in there acting as the Chao to Ciel's Cream. I know she dies in the first game but it still works. -Finally.... Bad Box Art MegaMan. I know we have tons of characters named MegaMan here but come on, we need this guy to come back.
The Zero series is not actually a spin-off, it's actually a sequel for Megaman X5. If Rogue/Solo appear I would guess he's gonna be a charge character due to some of his attack reminds me of a charge character. Like he has sonic boom like move and also a flash kick I also agree for Ashe to appear.
More like a sequel to X6 I'd say, seeing how X6 is the game that actually plays off the lore of Zero getting sealed off to find a cure for the virus. But yeah, the Zero series should count as its own thing, not a plain extension of the X series.
Fun fact, most of the Navis in Battle Network series were given a rule for design of nothing that can be like cloth, cause they're netnavis on the internet. Bass.EXE was the exception simply cause they could NOT imagine him without the cloak.
So since you didn't say anything about how Bass.EXE would fight I wanna say my own idea: He'd be a highly aggressive fighter with a good number of poweful attacks. His supers would also probably have good armor to represent his LifeAura. His weakness would likely be HP to balance the rest of his kit out.
I feel like he could also have a special that creates a temporary projectile-cancelling barrier. Think something like Android 18 in Dragon Ball Fighterz. But yes, super armor on his supers would represent his classic Life Barrier very well. Could still be broken by a strong enough attack, but it would require some hefty stuff to crack.
Good stuff. I'd say the one thing I would've done different is go for a sort of oddball pick and have Cache be the final boss for the Battle Network game. They were only in a mobile game but were also the final antagonist in the anime and match exactly the criteria you were going for with a character that's the same size but has a bigger boss form. Also Rogue for sure for the 6 Star Force characters
Really had me in the first half with the "We're not doing DLC", not gonna lie. From the second I first heard you mention doing a Mega Man fighting game (can't remember if that was something quickly mentioned in a video or if that was on Twitter) I got super excited because Mega Man is one of my all time FAVORITE franchises, and this video definitely paid that off in a HUGE way. Great stuff, Thorgi, can't wait to see what you got planned next you magnificent bastard!
I would love to have a Mega Man cross-over fighter. Pretty cool with how you not only made a cross-over roster, you also made one for classic, X, and Battle Network. You've basically picked the right characters for each of the bonus rosters. I have some ideas for characters that can work. Anubis Necromancess from the Zero series: He is similar to Pharaoh Man, but his main draw is necromancy. He can control not only sand, but also summon zombie robots to work similar to the zombies summoned by Jill Valentine from MVC2. He also has a cane as a physical weapon. It was either him or Metal Shark Player from X6 for the role of the necromancer. The Mega Man Killers from Mega Man classic: Either one of these guys can works as fighters. Enker can use his staff for poking and he can use his mirror buster to use the opponent's projectiles against them. Punk fits the "Unga-Bunga" perfectly. He can charge at his foes and he has his screw crushers as projectiles. Ballade can use his ballade crackers to not only harass his opponents at a distance, but he can also laid them on the ground where he is standing for some tricky plays. Prometheus from ZX: He can have a mechanic similar to 18 from Fighterz where he calls Pandora to help out. What she does depends on what button is pushed at the end of the command. You can also have a super, a level three, where they both attack in unison. Spider from Mega Man X: Command Mission: I wanted to pick a character from the RPG spin-off as I know Command Mission is consider underrated and it does have its fans. He attacks using cards so I can see him fighting in a style that is a mix of Gambit and Oswald. EraserMan EXE from Battle Network: He loves to fight as he enjoys deleting whatever he can find and he is basically if the grim reaper had a netnavi form. His main weapon is a scythe which can provide range and damage akin to Gordeau from Under Night In-Birth.
Great roster and way to celebrate the Blue Bomber's 35th anniversary! I admit I kinda forgot it was his birthday (among others like the DC Animated Universe). Speaking of forgot, you should've added a ZX series character. Granted, their characters are identical to other past characters (mainly X and Zero characters) but I feel like a ZX character like Prometheus and Pandora (or Vent/Aile utilizing Megamerge to cover multiple Mega Men both in and outside the roster) would've been a more interesting pick than Serenade.EXE because at least they both fill the role of obscure character and representing an era of Mega Man. One that's often overlooked and has a major cliffhanger despite that being available as an Expert Mode ending. And while there are costumes, that would feel about as lame as say Smash Bros lacking ZX in Mega Legends despite Ultimate giving us a ZX spirit. With that said, great rosters and hey, if there was ever a DLC pass for the main one, we could shut me up by giving us Model ZX or Prometheus and Pandora or w.e. among others. Maybe even include Arthur and Ryu as guest fighters given their presence in Mega Man's history. Granted, you did put Ashe and Prometheus as DLC for Maverick Fighters but still, feels a little lame to not have a ZX character in the main Mega roster even with the points you made for Serenade. Speaking of which, in terms of DLC for Network Fighters as someone who loves both Battle Network and StarForce: - StarForce MegaMan/Geo (MC of Starforce and was part of Operate Shooting Star, the crossover/port of Battle Network 1. Gameplay wise, he'd be similar to EXE but with some elements from SF like a barrier, Omega-Xis claw attacks.) - Harp Note (No need to explain though she was also in OSS) - Gemini Spark (No need to explain) - Dark Phantom (was gonna go with Rogue or Apollo Flame for SF2 but IMO Hyde felt more interesting a choice plus I had a better idea for those two) - Queen Tia (Jack Corvus assisting her while representing SF3. Did consider Ace and Jack but Tia's design is cooler, we got too many dudes and Jack's her brother so he can assist her while flying and burning people) - Clockman.EXE (he was the main villain of the Star Force crossover, he'd be perfect to end the season or game's run as a fan made creation with the power of time and summoning characters from SF AND Battle Network for attacks.)
@@captainmega6310 Also so what? ZX still has that fanbase and you're doing a crossover with multiple MM franchises yet ZX is the only one that's left out and I'm not counting spin offs like X-OVER. And like Serenade, ZX is definitely one that has some obscurity to it except it doesn't require players to play the entire game and complete a post game scenario to see some character you'd never heard off before.
I guess the six star force picks on top of the two you picked already would be: Geo Stellar (Mega Man) Sonia Strumm (Harp Note) Pat Sprigs (Gemini Spark) Solo (Rogue) Ace (Acid Ace) Joker (Dread Joker)
About Vile, he has more of a zoner feel whit a temporal armor mode he cloud use until it gets damaged and he is obligated to pull out of his mecha, also one of his attacks is a shock stunt attack, that feels right to his fight desing.
I was really interested in this video, but for the first time I ended up just... disappointed by a Build the Roster episode. The first thing is a lack of moveset detailing. It is gone into for certain characters, but a lot of the time it's skimmed over/barely touched upon. That's not a big deal if you're doing this type of exercise with established fighting game characters, but if you're doing one with characters not from one a bit more of a focus on that would help a lot. And secondly, as is kinda common with the Mega Man community, the casual disrespect for the Inti Creates era. The Zero series was its own thing and moved the timeline forward-- if it's being labelled as a "spin-off of the X games" by that same token the X games are just spin-offs of the classic ones (you still had classic games coming out after the X series). Harpuia is a good sole pick at least, but that and the complete exclusion of ZX (to the point of neglecting it when saying that Legends is the "shortest Mega Man series" when they're tied) made this feel like far less of trying to put together a broad tribute to the series and ironically exactly the type of thing other Build the Roster videos try to avoid being-- it's entirely just the really popular characters (with one exception still from a popular section of the series). And the lack of trying to DLC to round out the roster but instead "here's 3 whole fighting game rosters for Classic, X, and Battle Network" rubbed in that this isn't a celebration of Mega Man as a franchise, but simply of the "classics" still remembered. Even just like Prometheus or Pandoria in a hypothetical DLC wave would've been a worthy and satisfactory gesture. I got my Zero + ZX Collection, but it's frustrating seeing a show that generally tries to have a good balance and emphasizes acknowledging some of the newer characters of a franchise instead treating a more recent swathe of it as not worth mentioning beyond as a footnote to the X series.
Don't The zero series stopped being a sequel after you know x6 and the other games released? so i can see why they used the term "spin-off" since saying "sequel" wouldn't actually be 100% accurate since well it's not a sequel anymore in terms of canon for the x series.
It was meant to be the sequel, had Inafune as the producer, and was canonically followed by ZX. If anything it's the X games post-6 that are of questionable canon status, but even then the ZX games included some references to them (and the last installment of the comic series in a flash-forward showed off that they planned to properly blend things).
I am frustrated by the lack of Starforce Representation and felt dissapointed that there wasnt any focus on it, not even when he focused on the Battle Network Franchise(they are connected like X and Classic are) and I really felt like having DR.Wily there is kind of...Weird
Serenade as a pick is fucking brilliant. (plus i see the they/them being used.♥ )Since you already kinda went for my "weird picks " my leftover weird pick would be Over-1 from the Japanese exclusive mobile game Rockman x-over. Only and Exclusively because a design that good shouldn't be left to rot in a dead mobile game that looks like it was made in flash.
Good Video, Thorgi. Megaman’s been my favorite video character of all time and it’s cool to see a fan built fighting game roster based on his games. Would really love to see a Digimon FighterZ Build a Roster one of these days.
I would have swapped Beastman or Slashman since they are very similar thematically in the Battle Network line up for Frogman or Meddy. Both would be goofy ones since you have a little frog boy or a actual Nurse who could have a tun of medical themed attacks. Also Meddy is a female character and the Battle network line up seemed wanting for female representation. Also imagine Meddy having a level 3 super where she gets an evil glint in her eyes and does a raging Demon glide to the opponent and the screen goes dark and after all the flashes that come from it turns out she was using a giant needle to vaccinate the opponent and they have a goofy face for those UA-cam compilations.
The moment you said only three Mega Men would make it i knew wich ones would make the rooster. I'm actually glad you included Harp Note as the second Star Force character, she's great both in design and character and yeah, the musical theme attacks are fun.
Given that you don't know that much about the Star Force series, here is my suggestion of what a fighting game roster for it would be: -1. Star Force Mega Man (Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis); -2. Harp Note (Sonia Strumm and Lyra); -3. Queen Ophiuca (Luna Platz and Ophiuca); -4. Taurus Fire (Bud Bison and Taurus); -5. Rogue (Solo and Laplace); -6. Acid Ace (Arthur C. Eos and Acid); -7. Cygnus Wing (Tom Dubius and Cygnus); -8. Wolf Woods (Damian Wolfe and Wolf); -9. Cancer Bubble (Claud Pincer and Cancer); -10. Gemini Spark (Patrick Sprigs and Gemini); -11. Dark Phantom (Hyde and Phantom); -12. Yeti Blizzard (Rich Dotcom and Yeti); -13. Queen Virgo (Queen Tia and Virgo); -14. Jack Corvus (Jack and Corvus); -15. Hollow; -16. Dread Joker; -17. Sirius; -18. Apollo Flame. As for DLCs, I suggest 2 season passes, of 4 characters in each one of them: *Season Pass 1: +Crown Thunder (Jean Couronne XIV and Crown); +Libra Scales (Mitch Shepar and Libra); +Kung Foo Kid (Kidd Gruff and Goat-Foo); +Moon Destroyer. *Season Pass 2: +General Auriga; +Spade Magnes; +Diamond Ice; +Club Strong.
Starforce is so underappreciated; glad to see someone in the comments showing the series some appreciation. Love this roster, too; especially the picks of Hollow and Sirius on the starting roster.
@@DeepFreeze7575 Thanks! Adding those two seemed like the right picks given how important they are to the story and could work extremelly wel gameplay-wise. At first I felt bad for not adding Plesio Surf (Gerry Romero and Plesio), Terra Condor (Shaman and Condor) and The 3 Satellite Admins (Pegasus Magic, Leo Kingdom and Dragon Sky), but then I realized that they were too big to work as playable fighting game characters.
@@OZerador I think the Satellite Admins could be interesting secret bosses in Arcade mode; perhaps they've been corrupted by the big bad of the game, and you'd unlock one of the fights by, say, getting a certain number of super move finishes in the run up to the usual final boss.
When I was in 2nd grade, they had a contest to turn in your designs for prizes, I did not win, but Knightman was exactly like my design. I was a kid so I didnt save anything, but seeing him in your hypothetical game made my day.
I don't agree with making future Zero an alternate costume for X series Zero. They play too differently. X series Zero would most likely be using techniques from the X series, while future Zero would use weapons such as the chain rod, shield boomerang, etc. I think future Zero should be a separate character from X series Zero. If not for the main roster, then at least as DLC.
Been watching some of your videos recently and between this Build the Roster series and the King of Fighters retrospective I'm more than convinced to finally subscribe. I'm not a fighting game player; I straight-up suck at fighting games, but I still find these videos highly entertaining, and they're top-quality too. Dude, keep up the good work. Ok so, long comment incoming. I saw the thumbnail for this and I gave myself about thirty minutes to brainstorm a roster for myself before watching; 30 characters (even if that is just wishful thinking), limiting myself to the classic series, and with the restriction of two robot masters from each main game (including Mega Man & Bass). This is what I ultimately came up with: -Mega Man (duh) -Proto Man (duh) -Bass (sensing a pattern here?) -Roll (Another no-brainer) -Guts Man -Elec Man -Metal Man -Wood Man -Gemini Man -either Snake Man or Shadow Man -Pharaoh Man -either Dive Man or Ring Man -Napalm Man -Charge Man (this one's the really weird pick; he's a literal robot train and that's funny) -Yamato Man -Centaur Man (another kinda weird pick, but he could be a really tricky opponent with all his warping around the arena and freezing time) -Freeze Man -Shade Man -Sword Man -either Search Man or Tengu Man -Pirate Man -Burner Man -Splash Woman -Tornado Man -Blade Man -Sheep Man (this was originally gonna be Nitro Man, but Charge Man kinda covers the whole "vehicle-based robot" thing already) -Blast Man -Block Man That left room for two more, so I decided on Duo and King as mid-boss characters. Duo would be more of a "I'm here to test your strength" sort of opponent, while King could be unwillingly working for Wily. Plus, King's just really cool with his battleaxe and shield, and has some cool potential super moves. Unlockable boss Dr. Wily as well, of course. As for potential DLC characters, this is where all the Gameboy reps would be: Enker, Punk, Ballade, and three of the Stardroids from V. Thinking Mercury, either Pluto or Terra, and Sunstar. Once I got that all brainstormed out, I watched the video and holy crap I was not expecting to have as many of the same (or similar) choices. So many of the fighting styles I was thinking of in making this list are represented in the characters from the spinoff series; imagine my surprise at seeing Gemini Spark in this for the Starforce reps, and thinking "this is almost exactly how I imagined Gemini Man while brainstorming". That was a pretty hype pick though, to say the least lmao. But that's the power of these videos; gets us commenters thinking about our own dream rosters. I'll definitely be sticking around for more top-quality videos here
StarForce DLC Geo and Omega-Xis as MegaMan: No brainer, main character. However, they would play differently than EXE. Since they can turn into EM waves, have them go through the opponent, maybe teleport too. Sonia Strumm: Already in the video Gemini Spark: Already in the video Solo/Rogue: Have him use his partner Laplace as a sword. Dark Phantom: From StarForce 2. Make him use a similar teleporting power, but armed with a sword and have no long range attacks. Sirius: Hidden secret boss of StarForce 3. Armor as all hell, powerful long range, but have bad speed.
The only character I'm really surprised about not being there, is Colonel.exe for the Battle Network game. He's an important character in both 5 and 6, as well as being playable for a good portion.
I don't know about DLC, but here's my picks for a full Star Force fighting game: 1. Geo Stelar/Mega Man SF 2. Sonia Strum/Harp Note 3. Bud Bison/Taurus Fire 4. Solo/Rogue 5. Luna Platz/Queen Ophiuca 6. Pat & Rey/Gemini Spark 7. Tom Dubious/Cygnus Wing 8. Damian Wolfe/Wolf Woods 9. Hyde/Dark Phantom 10. Hollow 11. Kung Foo Kid 12. Apollo Flame 13. Arthur C. Eos/Acid Ace 14. Queen Tia/Queen Virgo 15. Jack/Jack Corvus 16. Dread Joker 17. Ice/Diamond Ice 18. Sirius Arcade mode bosses: Andromeda, Le Mu, & the Crimson Dragon Tried to make things even between the 3 games, but 2's lack of humanoid non-returning bosses did make it difficult. Especially since I had to put Solo, the Star Force equivalent with Bass, with the main characters. I simply had no choice.
Clockman.EXE along with MegaMan.EXE are easy DLC characters given their importance to Star Force (the former being a reference machine to both BN and SF). Maybe throw in an alternate version of Geo where he has Rogue Noise (basically Geo if never had any friends) or we can get crazy and add King Cepheus as a fighter using the Satellite Admins though hot take but MAYBE, we push three or four of the actual characters and make OCs based on the Tribe forms. Heck, my idea of Cepheus could be that weird but cool pick no one expected.
Haven't yet watched the video but I often imagined in my head a Mega Man fighting game and thought about what kind of characters would it have and how would they play. Im very much looking forward to this one.
Not gonna lie, I've theorycrafted MM fighting game ideas for years, and Sword Man is one of those ones I've always come back to. Just the idea of him with the split body and the sword emphasis, I can just imagine him as a fusion of Anakaris and Strider Hiryu in a way. One of the ideas I had with him was that if you super-jumped with him, his lower half would slip into the background and his profile in the air would be much smaller, but if he normal jumped, his lower body could either jump with him, or stay on the ground for mix up pressure, and there'd be other special moves where he'd split up, and you'd only be able to control his lower half while his upper half attacked across the screen in some way.
52:45 I’d say a good way to make Alia different from X would be implementing her time stop stuff. God knows the amount of times Alia would basically stop everything from moving to explain things to X. Of course this is because it was tutorial stuff, but I say embrace the wacky in universe explanations of a Reploid using their time stop powers just to explain things to a Maverick Hunter right before the giant lava wall crashes down on them. Plus she canonically has killed fellow Reploids to uphold her duty, some of which are the boss characters in X6 like Blizzard Wolfang, so she ain’t no slouch to fighting. Also for more women in this roster I’d suggest Iris -Another-, from the Mega Man XDive mobile game. She’s basically what Iris and Colonel were supposed to be until they split. So having her playable would bring out their true potential. Plus her design is better than both Iris and Colonel.
1:04:30 1. Mega Man 2. Harp Note 3. Acid Ace 4. Solo/Rogue with Laplace 5. Taurus Fire 6. Grave Joker (I know you included Gemini Thunder but this guy is actually f*cking insane, he can EM Wave change... ON HIS OWN AS A NORMAL HUMAN BEING, only Solo could do that in the past and that's only because he's a Muian, also he straight up _deleted_ Luna (she got better))
ALRIGHT Star force Dlc lightning round Gemini / Sonia - said in video Geo Stellar - give him a "noise" gimmick where he can raise a second bar to gain more powerups as you spend it. 200% or more is Black ace install. Acid Ace- Ultra space cop. Rushdown as fuck, lots of attacks that teleport to and lock on to the enemy. Taurus flame - big grappler man, a literal raging bull who cant stop once hes started. Potemkin like moveset. You COULD do rouge, but thats mostly just Bass EXE again so, Jack Corvus / Queen Tia; a duo team puppet fighter with Jack as the Main fighter. A mix between rushdown and zoning. The ultimate S tier.
You not gonna say " we need a big cross over for Mega Man. Then say " I'm only having three Mega men. That like not including all of the straw hats in a roster man
He can and did especially when there's more to Mega Man than the blue bomber. Heck, he represented almost every installment of the franchise so yes, it's a big crossover but most folks do not want a roster where a good chunk of the characters is the same person. Anime fighters tend to be the exception but Mega Man isn't really an anime fighter.
LOVED this idea, and I wanted to take a stab at making a roster myself (based on the classic Mega Man series). There’s one Robot master featured from each game, and an even smattering of different themes and playstyles. • Megaman • Everyone’s favorite boy • A well rounded individual with a mix of basic combat skills and weapons taken from other Robot Masters. Not the best at everything, but then again, who is? • Protoman • Everyone’s other favorite boy. • Don’t let the shield fool you, Protoman’s offense goes just as hard as his defense. He can tank hits with his shield and fire back with greater force, but he lacks range compared to his brother. His mobility also leaves much to be desired, his approach being limited to slow, armored charges with his shield. • Bass • Everyone’s least favorite boy • All offense, all the time. With greater air mobility and a quicker but weaker buster, Bass specializes in getting in close and pressuring the opponent. Sticking to opponents and tripping them up with rapid mixups is his Forte. • Roll • Has expanded her arsenal beyond her standard mop and bucket combo. Teaming up with Eddie and boasting a powerful Vac-Buster, Roll can control space with gusts of wind and even suck up and reflect projectiles! • Duo • A Big Body Robot with a giant arm for some giant swings. He hits like a truck and has decent range, but is easy combo fodder and lacks in the mobility department. Has the slowest and strongest projectiles of the cast. • Guts Man • It’d be more of a crime to NOT include him, tbh. • Grappler incarnate. He pick you up and throw you hard. Lacks mobility and range, but his damage output more than makes up for it. • Wood Man • Included because Nice >:] • Applies great pressure at close range with multi-hit attacks and armored swings. Struggles to get in most of the time due to his subpar mobility. • Shadow Man OR Snake Man • MM3 has too many good designs, tbh. • Evasive pests who move around the stage a lot and pelt you with projectiles. Fishing for any sort of confirm, they can capitalize a lot of damage off of a stray hit. • Honestly, either of them would work for this kind of playstyle. Shadow Man would be more overtly Ninja-themed while Snake Man could burrow and dig through the stage • Skull Man • Included because his design slaps. • Kazuya Mishima with bone attacks. Highly technical rushdown character with lots of room for optimization. • Gravity Man • Included because he’s the only cool Robot Master from Mega Man 5 • Controls space with Gravity wells that affect both his movement and the opponent’s. Normally very slow, but proper application of his gravity powers can leave him surprisingly agile. Very Technical. • Knight Man and Centaur Man • A duo fighter of two star crossed robots. Knight man serves as the main fighter, Swinging his flail and using his shield to parry attacks. Centaur Man shows up from offscreen for assists, like Gohan helping out Videl. • Slash Man • Perfectly fits the archetype of the feral Rushdown/pressure character. • A hyper mobile grounded character. Is capable of closing distance incredibly quickly, but not without risk, as he lacks range and projectiles. Lots of Rekkas and Multi-hits. • Clown Man • Included because he’s funny lol • Bouncy character with some big swings thanks to his obscenely long arms. Gan grab enemies from long range or grapple and swing from the ceiling like Hsien-Ko. Large hitboxes and hurtboxes. • Splash Woman • As a fan-favorite character and the only female Robot master makes her a shoe-in to include. • Oppressive Zoner with lots of projectiles and spacing tools. Is held back by her reliance on water, which forces her to fight from within a giant fishbowl, restricting her movement. • Sheep Man • Included because I like weird characters. • Trapper/Setplay character who throws out clouds of fluff. He can detonate those clouds into lightning bolts or teleport to them for mixups. • Torch Man • The Shoto to end all Shotos. • A balanced mix of Punches and kicks with his signature incendiary flair. Builds up Heat with attacks, overheating increases attack power but slows you down. Torch Man can vent heat with certain Special moves, allowing him to balance his flame levels in different situations. • Wily Machine • The boss when you unlock them as a playable character: • Big Body does as Big bodies do, suppressing opponents with storms of projectiles. Plays just like an actual boss fight, complete with predictable patterns and weak spots. • Yellow Devil • Fear it’s name. • The Biggest body makes for the hardest hitter, and when practically everything he does is protected by super armor, it’s hard to imagine a winning scenario against this guy. • Miiiiiight be better off as just a boss.
If Mega Man 11 happened because Mighty Number 9 cleaned up on Kickstarter, than Mega Man 12 didn't happen because Mighty Number 9 crashed and burned on launch. No competition, no reason to compete. It's bad logic but this is Capcom.
Actually, 11 happened because M°9 crashed and burn. before that Capcom was like, "the sales are with Inafune, the market for a Megaman game is covered by M n°9", but once it crashed they realized there was a demand (as shown by the Kickstarter success) but no one to satisfy that demand since Mighty failed. That's were they realized they had a market. Game companies would rather *not* have competition. That way, they get all the playerbase.
this was all great, but I am upset at the lack of Mega Man Killer representation (aside from Punk in the Battle Network Section) still a great mock-up for a fighting game that sounds pretty fun to play.
Since he's not doing the DLC, here's my idea, each season has 6 characters. 1 classic, 1 X, and 1 Battle Network, as those are the biggest parts of the franchise, then 3 from the other games. I'll say 3 Seasons. Season 1: Bass: Bass meeting Bass.EXE would be awesome. Nuff said. Axel: Because hes kinda the next most important character in the X series. Punk.EXE: Psuedo Megaman GB rep. Also like he said it's a rep for Mr Famous. Omega: Zero in Megaman Zero has a different playstyle than normal, which Omega would use. Also, Classic Zero vs Omega. King: Megaman and Bass is a spinoff and this guy has potential as a big beefy tank. Volnutt: Each season will include another Megaman. I wanna have this guy first due to only being 1 Legends rep at the moment. Season 2: Duo: I doubt this Sigma Virus wouldnt get his attention. This Justice obsessed machine would be ON THAT! Colonel: He's a cool pick. Important to Zero, and maybe bring back that idea of fusing Iris and Colonel in their boss fight in X4. Protoman.EXE: Same as Bass, hence being in a other season. They're so different too, sword vs shield. Spider: That Megaman X RPG deserves some love. Also, two alternate futures for X and Zero to consider. Sera: One more Legends rep, and another female rep with a lot of potential. Geo Stellar: Aka Starforce Megaman. The Last main Megaman needed to complete the crew. Season 3: Shadowman: He has some unique lore if you look into him. An alien robot Wily repurposed into a Ninja robot. Storm Eagle: Biased admittedly but I love this guy. I also pity him if you look at his backstory. Shademan.EXE: He leaves an impact on players. Before I finally played the games I heard a lot about this vampire. Vent/Aile: ZX representation ftw. Technically could count as a Megaman, buuuut I feel like they are a bit too far from the archetype. Solo: Another Starforce rep, and like him I never played those games soooooo I picked the guy who looked the coolest. His article is the second most popular on the Megaman wiki among Starforce characters tho Quint: Actual GB rep, and is an alternate timeline version of classic Megaman. With a pogo stick.... Idk why. But I think the potential for interactions with this Oddball would be amazing. What game has a guy who fights with a Pogo Stick?!
Was I the only one hoping for some type of fodder enemy you typically beat on your way to a boss battle as a playable character. I thought that was gonna be the weird pick.
I'm still pretty sure a Mega Man fighting game is actually gonna happen. The big Capcom leak (that had the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles listed, that turned out to be true) had a "Rockman Taisen" listed in it.
Personally, here's my BTR for a Mario Fighting game. Also went with a roster that's more about the history of Mario as a whole meaning I'm throwing in characters from Mario sports games, the RPGs, Yoshi, Wario and DK as well as Luigi and Peach's games among some other spin offs. I didn't pick any guest characters since I prefer just a pure Mario fighter. Base (24 characters, some have variants or w.e.) Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Ludwig and Koopalings, Shy Guy, Wario, Waluigi, Captain Toad, Toadette, Rosalina, E. Gadd, Nabbit, Yoshi, Birdo, Boom Boom, Petey Piranha, Kamek, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Plum (Golf), Alex and Harry (Tennis) DLC (18 characters, 6 characters per season) S1: Paper Mario, Pauline, Mallow, Mouser, Captain Syrup, King K. Rool S2: King Boo, Funky Kong, Stanley, Fawful, Baby Mario Bros., Princess Shroob S3: Chargin' Chuck, Dry Bowser, Wart, Ashley, Grape, Geno
A small roster? Dude, I know you're hesitant on having Capcom make a large roster of characters... But... this is megaman. if there wasn't going to be a big roster, there's not going to be a megaman fighting game. Also, Capcom's not asking for another traditional fighter. This game would have to be a smash-style party game. lots of those going around. I've had the thought before of them using 8-bit sprites to lean in on nostalgia, and by virtue of not having to spend time on graphics all that much, they can go WILD. I'm talking 'every single robot master' wild. Another gimmick I came up with is to incoprorate megaman's variable weapon stystem into the game's main mechanic. You can equip every character with a side weapon, chosen form the rest of the playable cast's robot master weapons. The catch is that their own weapon can be used indefinitely, but the side weapon has an ammo count. Also, yeah, my idea isn't a crossover. you can still add a handful of characters from the other series as cameos, but its primary focus is on the classic series.
No need to go all the way down to 8-bit sprites. The 16-bit sprites from The Wily Wars on the Genesis are excellent, and then you don't have to down-scale the MegaMan X sprites.
Dude, have you seen their current fighting game roster count? Mega Man or not, that roster isn't gonna be as big as you're making it out to be (Smash clone or not) and if it was big, then from my point of view, almost every character mentioned in this list would've made up the base roster and hypothetical seasons.
Zero wasn't just a continuation to the X series, it was it's own separate sub-series. Heck, the gameplay of X has more in common with the classic series than it does with the Zero series.
Honestly I didn't expect you to go this in depth with a BTR like this and although most of your picks were on point there are a few picks that I think would have worked well: For the crossover it's about having characters representing every series for a multiverse kind of setting yet you didn't include Rico, now I understand that Xdive isn't as important in comparison to the other picks of that roster but she fits perfectly when it comes to the story and you already mentioned that we need more female characters for the roster. For the classic roster I'd say that freeze man would be a good pick for a mega man 7 robot master as he's the most popular one and there wasn't really an ice themed robot master in there, you could get very creative when it comes to moveset design. Also king from "megaman and bass" would have been nice to have as he also fits in the "weird one" category. And lastly for the Zero/ZX DLC you could combine Prometheus and Pandora to be a stance character which would be a cool reference to their fights and also give them a very unique playstyle.
Considering Mega Man is a franchise that's involves a lot of shooting things (the dude's nickname is Jump n' Shoot man.), I feel the game would be more interesting if it played with projectiles in a way that others don't. A lot of modern fighting games try to deemphasizes Zoning by adding moves that ignore, avoid, or even destroy projectiles, as well as making most of the roster Rushdowns. and i don't think having a Megaman fighting game where most of the characters are rushdowns fit the series that well. But I also understand why people don't like Zoning (I play zoners. trust me, I know). But I think I have a way to keep the run and gun nature of Megaman into a fighting game: First up are projectile combos. Instead of having most projectiles just be a one and done attack or help the player get into melee, why not have combos that utilize multiple projectiles at a distance? Have characters with multiple projectiles that if timed and positioned correctly, can lead to some really big and impressive combos! The other is a universal reflect. Sort of like how Street Fighter 3 has a universal parry, this game could have a universal reflect. When performed correctly, it will reflect any projectile back with higher damage and speed. But what makes it really interesting is that the other player can ALSO reflect the projectile! This can turn any match into the world's deadliest volley ball game at any moment, which could also a whole new layer of skill and strategy onto it. Additionally, maybe there could also be a way to absorb projectiles to power yourself up for a bit as well. Maybe this all comes from me just hating how people complain about Zoners all the time, but I feel like there's an opportunity for a game like this to have brand new mechanics that sets it apart from other fighting games! Also, no mention of Mega Man ZX!? Like I get that ZX is just a lot of the bosses from Zero in a trechcoat... but the ZX series gets jipped SO much!
it makes sense that Roll would appear alongside megaman in various fighting games, considering Megaman's name is Japan is "Rock" because Dr. Light made both the bots together and wanted to reference his favorite music genre.
Great roster loved it all. The only critic i have is that mmz has so many interesting characters it felt like the middle child thats hated. Just off the top of my head zero could use all his other weapons such as his land sheild and sword modifers. Dr.wile would be neat. And for a boss the bat guy from the 3rd game would be cool with thunder bolts and clones. But love you video and can't thank you enough cause ever sense you started built the roster this is what i have been dreaming of
Any chance for a _Capcom All-Stars_ video? I've been plotting out one with pallet swaps for most of the roster. Lady D over She-Hulk, Byakko (Star Gladiator) over Wolverine, Rouge (Power Stone) over Lili (SFxT), and Jubei (Onimusha 2) over Karas (TvC).
Right, gotta give more context on the "made 11 out of spite" thing. According to Stop Skeletons From Fighting, Capcom was ok with letting MN9 essentially take over the reigns as "mega man" for the generation. But it failed hard, and an internal team really did want to continue the series, so then it was allowed to go through. I know you were making a joke, but it's a joke people will take seriously that I'm not sure if you don't believe it yourself
Splashwoman is a great pick that I appreciate. Would have liked some more comic book reps in here too. Quakewoman is my favorite megaman character of all time.
Vent and Aile: OH man, our series didn't get represented at all in the base game? That's OK, we've still got the DLC to show off how cool ZX is! Thorgi: I'm about to end this man's whole career
OK, I just got to where you mentioned Ashe, but I think it's weird to include ZX in a Zero pack when you specifically excluded Zero characters for being from a continuation. ZX is not the same as the Zero series, its a continuation, and Capcom including ZX and ZX Advent in the Zero Legacy collection was just them being consumer friendly enough to not make us pay 40$ for 2 DS games
@@mr.mister3960 Yeah, I would've swapped Serenade over a ZX rep. Both are obscure choices that not many people know about (despite Zero and ZX's collection) but at least you can learn more about the ZX cast right away compared to Serenade who only shows up in the post game after fulfilling completionist goals like the Battle Chip Library. Kinda feels like Thorgi left out or forgot that bit of info about Serenade but eh.
I think a cool 19th character as a secret boss would be Martial Artist Doctor Light. He'd play literally like Ryu, but it would be a nice easter egg. Also, i always saw magma dragoon as more of a akuma type of guy anyway.
25:18 Wait, that's just the plot of Archie Comics' World Unite crossover which had Mega Man, Mega Man X (who didn't have his own comic), Sonic and Sonic Boom crossover and near the end a whole bunch of other Capcom characters showed up too.
Man first zx gets left out of the final smash now we also get left out the entire roster. I know spots are tight but i really think you should at least include ashe/grey. Gives the series a single rep and serves as basically an axl stand in who their wasnt room for in the base roster.
I agree. I feel like Serenade should've been pushed for DLC since Thorgi left out one important detail about Serenade: they're only found in the post game AND you have complete specific tasks (which aren't that hard but the road to Serenade isn't for everyone that curious IMO). And while Serenade is definitely someone who should belong in this game, a ZX character is arguably just as obscure and has other MM characters that could fill the role for certain characters not in the roster. That said I'm glad that they got some recent love in a fan game.
Personally I think a great "weird character" for a Classic Mega Man fighting game would be Dr. Light. I mean come on, what kind of crazy moveset could he have? How fun would it be to have him beat up Wily with his own two hands. Him or Auto. Maybe Auto could have a mechanic where if you damage him enough you knock his special bolt loose basically giving him a wild/enraged form when he's low on health.
Given that BN is the series I've got the most attachment to, I think that the roster that was picked kinda was underwhelming. So many secret bosses or Navis who were picked more for the idea of "well they look like they'd fit into a fighting game" than their relative impact on the series - the narrative of the game is rather significant. Having Yamatoman and Darkman who are both just dudes who hang around the Undernet who don't have any real story purpose or memorable operators over someone like Meddy (who the game could use as a kung fu girl considering her operator) or Toadman just feels wrong. Slashman as a BN6 rep and Shadowman for the edgelords you could split the difference and put in Eraseman and then you'd have a leftover slot for one of Mr. Match's Navis (Mr. Match is in every game except 5!), most likely Fireman but Heatman could also work (and having a super with all three of them just makes sense). Elecman I can't help but feel that he doesn't stand out as much as the other Elec-type Navis, namely Thunderman (who has this great "godly" motif going for him) and Magnetman (featured prominently with two operators who were important in the games and the anime). Personal preference, I think Thunderman or Magnetman would have more moveset potential but there is certainly a place for Elecman. Cosmoman, a random one-off boss from BN5, being in over Laserman, the Navi of the main antagonist of 4 and 5... That's just wrong. Like yeah Cosmoman has a neat design but so does Laserman. Plus, Laserman can extract the darkness from Navi's souls and use that to create evil copies of them. You could put him in instead of the Tiny Nebula Gray but really overwriting Cosmoman should be bare minimum. Oh, and even if Laserman doesn't replace Cosmoman I think that Knightman could still be a better pick, if only because of how Princess Pride had a rather prominent position in the series.
@@DeathAlchemist we never really get to see Glyde in action unfortunately (in the games at least), he really only exists as a name callback to MM Legends. What I think is the bigger injustice is that Colonel.exe is completely missing, despite being a major protagonist, antagonist, back to protagonist in the span of the last two BN games. Sure, he's functionally similar to Protoman in some ways, but between his soldier summons, saber attacks, and that tank blaster attack, he definitely has the chops to be a well-rounded powerhouse
One of my favorite parts of battle network was Numberman, and as a reference to...another reference why not have Django the Solar Boy as a guest fighter? Give Numberman a rng dice special for some randomness hijinks and give Django a solar meter like in his original game
Been playing MMBN and I've been thinking about Numberman. I'd make him a kind of zoner with traps. Bring in his tiny dicebombs that kind of hang in the air (max 3) and have them "rolling" till Numberman performs a specific move to stop the dice. I'd have it a 1/3 chance for Critical (all 6's), Normal (any 3), and Fumble (all 1's). Give him a larger projectile dicebomb that you can throw at someone to deal damage on hit and explode for damage (again 1/3 like the mini dicebombs) and for his lvl3 cinematic ultra I'd have Numberman dress like a street vendor with a big gatchapon and have the opponent crank the wheel and get a gatchapon that has the number 0 in it, only for Numberman to throw the tablecloth off the booth and have a bunch of huge dicebombs that explode for a finish.
Now I'm remembering the Rockman Ability pachinko game and how Roll in that was both playable and could copy abilites. Guess I'm listing to its op on loop for a while.

Do you mind doing a build the roster on a Marvel vs DC Crossover game (Maybe made by Netherrealm)
"If Guts Man isn't the most grappler character to ever exist, then I don't know who is"
Spring Man
He is literally a grappler in his game
Clown Man. He is also literally a Grappler.
Zangief, Jax, King, Shermie.
this man just made 4 rosters for megaman's 35th anniversary, thats dedication.
This legend was making a top 100 comic of the year for so long, each video was over 1 hour long.

Street Fighter games take years to come out after a new one releases and DMC had a 10 year hiatus and probably is over after Itsuno said he wanted to move on from the series.

Why not both?
MK vs DC might be Nether Realm's answer to MvC, but Bandai Namco is nothing like NetherRealm Studios, and DC is pretty different from Marvel.
Fun Fact: The one who made the decision to rename the X5 characters after Guns N Roses was Alyson Court. She Voiced Jubilee in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Superheroes and Claire Redfield in several Resident Evil games. But depending on your age you might know her best as Loonette the clown on the Big Comfy Couch.
LOONETE WAS IN MARVEL VS CAPCOM, wild
She played Jubilee in the 90s X-Men cartoon as well.
One of her lesser-known roles is Aqune from the mid-00s anime Spider Riders which features Lawrence Bayne (Cable in X-Men/MvC2, Urien/Necro/Twelve/Gill in 3rd Strike, and the announcer in MvC2) as the main antagonist, Lord Mantid.

Wow, talk about a glow up. First, a kiddie clown, then an X-man, finishing with a S.T.A.R.
I'm sorry, what?
The idea of having unlockable “echo fighters” of characters through their alternate dimension variants would actually be pretty sick, especially if they have one or two different specials and a new super.
That... That would be a perfect solution.
Not every variant is 1:1, but when they're similar enough, just a couple specials and one super would be enough to differentiate, make them unique and at the very least try to represent stuff from the original games.
All I gotta say, Zero.EXE would be a sick echofighter.
Not exactly sure how it would apply theoretically, but screw it, we can all dream cant we? lol

I argue Zero from the Zero series could be his own character, specially with his arsenal having multiple weapons that are different from the Z saber and Buster (pistol?), so you could had a all-around character with more complexity because you could change half of his moves depending on your selected sub-weapon.
also omega could work as an echo of zero

Oh yeah in X8 you can change weapons
@@diamonshade7484Yes. Hence Echo Fighter.
Cygnus Wing - A basic aerial combatant
Queen Ophiuca - She's centered around poison in the games, so she'd have to be centered around life-sapping in some way
Gemini Spark - You already talked about him
Wolf Woods - Easily the most popular optional boss in the trilogy (not counting post-game bosses). He'd be a crazy-fast melee character, possibly somehow incorporating his gimmick of getting buffed when the clouds part to reveal the full moon behind him on his boss stage
Dark Phantom - I'd draw more on his third game moveset than his second to make him a zoner with a higher evasion focus than Harp Note
Rogue - Speaking of evasion focus, he'd have a massive focus on evasion and defense, with quick movement and melee attacks that may not hit hard but can combo easily
Kung Foo Kid - Probably similar to Rogue in that he has a heavy combo focus, but maybe lower the speed a bit in favor of more attack power. Also possibly incorporate his healing ability.
Apollo Flame - Another zoner, probably with some ability to leave behind fire hazards on the stage
Diamond Ice - She controls two large chunks of ice to defend herself and use in most of her attacks, which could be adapted into a pretty unique playstyle
Club Strong - Even bigger, slower, and bulkier than Taurus Flame with attacks that hit like a truck
Acid Ace - Basically Mega Man but speed him up and make his attacks a bit weaker
Dread Joker - Basically Mega Man but slow him down and make his attacks a bit stronger. Also possibly give him the ability to restrict enemy movement some?
Jack Corvus - An aerial fighter similar to Cygnus Wing, but a bit faster and with a really solid ranged option or two
Queen Virgo - A slow and defensively focused fighter, decent at dealing damage but more focused on outlasting her opponents
Sirius - Easily the most popular post-game boss in the trilogy, probably a zoner with some solid defense options
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
Damn dude you remember Kung Foo Kid too? You’re a diehard Starforce fan lol, id buy multiple copies of this Starforce is peak Megaman if you ask me
Considering the extent of my Mega Man knowledge is from Star Force (and Tron Bonne's game) this is my kinda game.
Could also add Cinnamon there as an unconventional Healer type fighter. Possibly even using the Syringe special from X-Dive for offense.
Just a bit of a bummer that ZX was left behind. I know technically adding Aile/Vent could possibly bloat the number of Mega Men in the roster but basically everyone capable of fusing with biometals in ZX is called a Mega Man. Plus, Vent/Aile as well as Grey/Ashe could be great stance characters, using their transformations as variant movesets
he could have added either prometheus/pandora for more villians or Gray/Ashe so we could have an Axl-esque character without using Axl
@@jotacatalan yeah, Prometheus/Pandora could work as a puppet character while the Model As would be zoners with stance changes
DLC characters:
-Tundra Man (wtf, you make a big deal out of elements but don't include any ice elemental characters)
-Splash Woman
-Bass
-Duo
-Axl
-Colonel
-An ACTUAL MMZ-era Zero with a bunch of his other weapons
-Hidden Phantom
-Phoenix Magnion
-Prometheus and Pandora (either taking separate slots or being one character)
-Master Albert
-Martial Artist Dr.
OH SHIT THE SWERVE, love the extra rosters here!
I personally would have put Sunstar, Terra or a Mega Man killer to represent the gameboy games in the Classic Mega Man roster.
If you want a Mega Man fighting game, there's a really solid fan game called Mega Man Arena which is basically a platformer in the style of a classic Mega Man game. Its got a really big roster that's still expanding and has a pretty niche but dedicated competitive scene
Also, there is Robot Master Mayhem, created using Mugen, but unlike the majority of the games made on it, it's pretty solid
@@UltraJay sadly it's very unbalanced but it's probably fun to play with friends

Wasn't expecting another build the roster so soon. Heh, let's do it.
Bet you weren't expecting 4 huh
@@marcosgalvis3498Because as much as I like this video…Thorgi didn’t..do a ton of research it feels. Several errors and weird goofy shit like that.
Genuinely surprised that Lumine wasn't in the expanded MMX roster, he seemed kinda important and I can see his powers making an interesting zoner
23:43
That's not what happened.
Giving this a like in advance, since I already know that this is gonna be a quality vid.
Also congrats on getting a sponsor Thorgi!
They've been made available again through capcom arcade stadium 2. Both are fun times
and duo
I was expecting axl to have a move where he shoots the oppenent with a copy shot which alows him to temporary play as the opponents character like shang tsung
With some limitations like him not being able to use their supers
I just don't think you needed to repeat Mega Man 2 and 4 for the Robot Masters on the roster, and one from each should be replaced with someone from Mega Man 7 (I'd go with Slash Man, you straight up say he inspired BeastMan.EXE and that he would play like Wolverine, so I don't see why you couldn't do that for Classic Slash Man) and Mega Man and Bass (I'd go with Magic Man, mainly due to him being the most visually and thematically unique out of his game's bosses.)
Oh, and I'd probably throw in Sunstar from Mega Man V on the Game Boy as a secret boss in the Classic fighting game because I just think he's cool, and it would be a neat surprise.
Jesus, this man really said “But wait! There’s more!” with the rosters.
The Zero series is not actually a spin-off, it's actually a sequel for Megaman X5.
If Rogue/Solo appear I would guess he's gonna be a charge character due to some of his attack reminds me of a charge character. Like he has sonic boom like move and also a flash kick
I also agree for Ashe to appear.
Yeah how about swapping out axl for ashe
@@ultimapower6950 nah give Ashe a Axl skin
Speaking of which, in terms of DLC for Network Fighters as someone who loves both Battle Network and StarForce:
- StarForce MegaMan/Geo (MC of Starforce and was part of Operate Shooting Star, the crossover/port of Battle Network 1. Gameplay wise, he'd be similar to EXE but with some elements from SF like a barrier, Omega-Xis claw attacks.)
- Harp Note (No need to explain though she was also in OSS)
- Gemini Spark (No need to explain)
- Dark Phantom (was gonna go with Rogue or Apollo Flame for SF2 but IMO Hyde felt more interesting a choice plus I had a better idea for those two)
- Queen Tia (Jack Corvus assisting her while representing SF3. Did consider Ace and Jack but Tia's design is cooler, we got too many dudes and Jack's her brother so he can assist her while flying and burning people)
- Clockman.EXE (he was the main villain of the Star Force crossover, he'd be perfect to end the season or game's run as a fan made creation with the power of time and summoning characters from SF AND Battle Network for attacks.)
He already did
And besides, not alot of people seem to like ZX that much...
@@captainmega6310 Look at my comment again.
@@dnmstarsi OK, fans can Serenade up
I feel like a Danganronpa fighting game could be really interesting with how you could interpret the different talents in a fighting game.
I guess the six star force picks on top of the two you picked already would be:
Geo Stellar (Mega Man)
Sonia Strumm (Harp Note)
Pat Sprigs (Gemini Spark)
Solo (Rogue)
Ace (Acid Ace)
Joker (Dread Joker)
YES YES YES! I really hope this is a mega man crossover fighter! I will still love it either way!
I always liked Marino's design. I'm surprised that neither her or any of the command mission female characters were mentioned.
But they can be saved for DLC, at least for one of us.
57:14 ah yes, big witch hats. That's what we love about Ino and Nine. There's definitely not any other *big things* to love about them...
Given that you don't know that much about the Star Force series, here is my suggestion of what a fighting game roster for it would be:
-1. Star Force Mega Man (Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis);
-2. Harp Note (Sonia Strumm and Lyra);
-3. Queen Ophiuca (Luna Platz and Ophiuca);
-4. Taurus Fire (Bud Bison and Taurus);
-5. Rogue (Solo and Laplace);
-6. Acid Ace (Arthur C. Eos and Acid);
-7. Cygnus Wing (Tom Dubius and Cygnus);
-8. Wolf Woods (Damian Wolfe and Wolf);
-9. Cancer Bubble (Claud Pincer and Cancer);
-10. Gemini Spark (Patrick Sprigs and Gemini);
-11. Dark Phantom (Hyde and Phantom);
-12. Yeti Blizzard (Rich Dotcom and Yeti);
-13. Queen Virgo (Queen Tia and Virgo);
-14. Jack Corvus (Jack and Corvus);
-15. Hollow;
-16. Dread Joker;
-17. Sirius;
-18. Apollo Flame.
As for DLCs, I suggest 2 season passes, of 4 characters in each one of them:
*Season Pass 1:
+Crown Thunder (Jean Couronne XIV and Crown);
+Libra Scales (Mitch Shepar and Libra);
+Kung Foo Kid (Kidd Gruff and Goat-Foo);
+Moon Destroyer.
*Season Pass 2:
+General Auriga;
+Spade Magnes;
+Diamond Ice;
+Club Strong.
This is what I ultimately came up with:
-Mega Man (duh)
-Proto Man (duh)
-Bass (sensing a pattern here?)
-Roll (Another no-brainer)
-Guts Man
-Elec Man
-Metal Man
-Wood Man
-Gemini Man
-either Snake Man or Shadow Man
-Pharaoh Man
-either Dive Man or Ring Man
-Napalm Man
-Charge Man (this one's the really weird pick; he's a literal robot train and that's funny)
-Yamato Man
-Centaur Man (another kinda weird pick, but he could be a really tricky opponent with all his warping around the arena and freezing time)
-Freeze Man
-Shade Man
-Sword Man
-either Search Man or Tengu Man
-Pirate Man
-Burner Man
-Splash Woman
-Tornado Man
-Blade Man
-Sheep Man (this was originally gonna be Nitro Man, but Charge Man kinda covers the whole "vehicle-based robot" thing already)
-Blast Man
-Block Man
That left room for two more, so I decided on Duo and King as mid-boss characters.
I'll definitely be sticking around for more top-quality videos here
I was hoping for another retrospective but this is also good
StarForce DLC
Geo and Omega-Xis as MegaMan: No brainer, main character. However, they would play differently than EXE. Since they can turn into EM waves, have them go through the opponent, maybe teleport too.
Sonia Strumm: Already in the video
Gemini Spark: Already in the video
Solo/Rogue: Have him use his partner Laplace as a sword.
I don't know about DLC, but here's my picks for a full Star Force fighting game:
1. Geo Stelar/Mega Man SF
2. Sonia Strum/Harp Note
3. Bud Bison/Taurus Fire
4. Solo/Rogue
5. Luna Platz/Queen Ophiuca
6. Pat & Rey/Gemini Spark
7. Tom Dubious/Cygnus Wing
8. Damian Wolfe/Wolf Woods
9. Hyde/Dark Phantom
10. Hollow
11. Kung Foo Kid
12. Apollo Flame
13. Arthur C. Eos/Acid Ace
14. Queen Tia/Queen Virgo
15. Jack/Jack Corvus
16. Dread Joker
17. Ice/Diamond Ice
18. Sirius
Arcade mode bosses:
Andromeda, Le Mu, & the Crimson Dragon
Tried to make things even between the 3 games, but 2's lack of humanoid non-returning bosses did make it difficult.
1:04:30
1. Mega Man
2. Harp Note
3. Acid Ace
4. Solo/Rogue with Laplace
5. Taurus Fire
ALRIGHT Star force Dlc lightning round
Gemini / Sonia - said in video
Geo Stellar - give him a "noise" gimmick where he can raise a second bar to gain more powerups as you spend it. 200% or more is Black ace install.
Acid Ace- Ultra space cop. Rushdown as fuck, lots of attacks that teleport to and lock on to the enemy.
Taurus flame - big grappler man, a literal raging bull who cant stop once hes started. Potemkin like moveset.
You COULD do rouge, but thats mostly just Bass EXE again so,
Jack Corvus / Queen Tia; a duo team puppet fighter with Jack as the Main fighter. A mix between rushdown and zoning. The ultimate S tier.
You not gonna say " we need a big cross over for Mega Man. Then say " I'm only having three Mega men. That like not including all of the straw hats in a roster man
It would make sense if you see it as if the strawhats were all variations on Luffy.
No, that’s like saying “I want to represent every arc in one piece in a fighting game!” And then only putting in 3 different versions of Luffy
• Megaman
• Everyone’s favorite boy
• A well rounded individual with a mix of basic combat skills and weapons taken from other Robot Masters. Not the best at everything, but then again, who is?
• Protoman
• Everyone’s other favorite boy.
• Don’t let the shield fool you, Protoman’s offense goes just as hard as his defense. He can tank hits with his shield and fire back with greater force, but he lacks range compared to his brother. His mobility also leaves much to be desired, his approach being limited to slow, armored charges with his shield.
• Bass
• Everyone’s least favorite boy
• All offense, all the time. With greater air mobility and a quicker but weaker buster, Bass specializes in getting in close and pressuring the opponent. Sticking to opponents and tripping them up with rapid mixups is his Forte.
• Roll
• Has expanded her arsenal beyond her standard mop and bucket combo. Teaming up with Eddie and boasting a powerful Vac-Buster, Roll can control space with gusts of wind and even suck up and reflect projectiles!
• Duo
• A Big Body Robot with a giant arm for some giant swings. He hits like a truck and has decent range, but is easy combo fodder and lacks in the mobility department. Has the slowest and strongest projectiles of the cast.
• Guts Man
• It’d be more of a crime to NOT include him, tbh.
• Grappler incarnate. He pick you up and throw you hard. Lacks mobility and range, but his damage output more than makes up for it.
• Wood Man
• Included because Nice >:]
• Applies great pressure at close range with multi-hit attacks and armored swings. Struggles to get in most of the time due to his subpar mobility.
• Shadow Man OR Snake Man
• MM3 has too many good designs, tbh.
• Evasive pests who move around the stage a lot and pelt you with projectiles. Fishing for any sort of confirm, they can capitalize a lot of damage off of a stray hit.
• Honestly, either of them would work for this kind of playstyle. Shadow Man would be more overtly Ninja-themed while Snake Man could burrow and dig through the stage
• Skull Man
• Included because his design slaps.
• Kazuya Mishima with bone attacks. Highly technical rushdown character with lots of room for optimization.
• Gravity Man
• Included because he’s the only cool Robot Master from Mega Man 5
• Controls space with Gravity wells that affect both his movement and the opponent’s. Normally very slow, but proper application of his gravity powers can leave him surprisingly agile. Very Technical.
• Knight Man and Centaur Man
• A duo fighter of two star crossed robots. Knight man serves as the main fighter, Swinging his flail and using his shield to parry attacks. Centaur Man shows up from offscreen for assists, like Gohan helping out Videl.
• Slash Man
• Perfectly fits the archetype of the feral Rushdown/pressure character.
• A hyper mobile grounded character. Is capable of closing distance incredibly quickly, but not without risk, as he lacks range and projectiles. Lots of Rekkas and Multi-hits.
• Clown Man
• Included because he’s funny lol
• Bouncy character with some big swings thanks to his obscenely long arms. Gan grab enemies from long range or grapple and swing from the ceiling like Hsien-Ko. Large hitboxes and hurtboxes.
• Splash Woman
• As a fan-favorite character and the only female Robot master makes her a shoe-in to include.
• Oppressive Zoner with lots of projectiles and spacing tools. Is held back by her reliance on water, which forces her to fight from within a giant fishbowl, restricting her movement.
• Sheep Man
• Included because I like weird characters.
• Trapper/Setplay character who throws out clouds of fluff. He can detonate those clouds into lightning bolts or teleport to them for mixups.
• Torch Man
• The Shoto to end all Shotos.
• A balanced mix of Punches and kicks with his signature incendiary flair. Builds up Heat with attacks, overheating increases attack power but slows you down. Torch Man can vent heat with certain Special moves, allowing him to balance his flame levels in different situations.
• Wily Machine
• The boss when you unlock them as a playable character:
• Big Body does as Big bodies do, suppressing opponents with storms of projectiles. Plays just like an actual boss fight, complete with predictable patterns and weak spots.
• Yellow Devil
• Fear it’s name.
5:25 thank you for putting viewtiful joe. many others would leave my boy out, but hes here, appreciated by found family
this was all great, but I am upset at the lack of Mega Man Killer representation (aside from Punk in the Battle Network Section)
still a great mock-up for a fighting game that sounds pretty fun to play.
Since he's not doing the DLC, here's my idea, each season has 6 characters. 1 classic, 1 X, and 1 Battle Network, as those are the biggest parts of the franchise, then 3 from the other games. I'll say 3 Seasons.
Season 1:
Bass: Bass meeting Bass.EXE would be awesome.
Season 2:
Duo: I doubt this Sigma Virus wouldnt get his attention.
Season 3:
Shadowman: He has some unique lore if you look into him.
His article is the second most popular on the Megaman wiki among Starforce characters tho
Quint: Actual GB rep, and is an alternate timeline version of classic Megaman. With a pogo stick.... Idk why. But I think the potential for interactions with this Oddball would be amazing. What game has a guy who fights with a Pogo Stick?!
Spring man would make a great rep for the Mega man 7 robot masters
Was I the only one hoping for some type of fodder enemy you typically beat on your way to a boss battle as a playable character. I thought that was gonna be the weird pick.
I'm still pretty sure a Mega Man fighting game is actually gonna happen. The big Capcom leak (that had the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles listed, that turned out to be true) had a "Rockman Taisen" listed in it.
I’d love to see some sort of concept for a Mario fighting game, with all sorts of references to the rpg’s and stuff
Base (24 characters, some have variants or w.e.)
Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Ludwig and Koopalings, Shy Guy, Wario, Waluigi, Captain Toad, Toadette, Rosalina, E. Gadd, Nabbit, Yoshi, Birdo, Boom Boom, Petey Piranha, Kamek, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Plum (Golf), Alex and Harry (Tennis)
DLC (18 characters, 6 characters per season)
S1: Paper Mario, Pauline, Mallow, Mouser, Captain Syrup, King K. Rool
S2: King Boo, Funky Kong, Stanley, Fawful, Baby Mario Bros., Princess Shroob
S3: Chargin' Chuck, Dry Bowser, Wart, Ashley, Grape, Geno
10:04 As josh scorcher once said (I think)
“Oh, is capcom not giving you megaman? Well we’ll give you MEGA MEN!”
Classic Megaman Platform fighter already exists.
@@s3studios597 not an official one to my knowledge.
Honestly I didn't expect you to go this in depth with a BTR like this and although most of your picks were on point there are a few picks that I think would have worked well:
For the crossover it's about having characters representing every series for a multiverse kind of setting yet you didn't include Rico, now I understand that Xdive isn't as important in comparison to the other picks of that roster but she fits perfectly when it comes to the story and you already mentioned that we need more female characters for the roster.
No X Dive. *NO* X Dive.
This game has to be chuck full of hard rock and heavy metal to honor the "Rock Man" legacy.
But I think I have a way to keep the run and gun nature of Megaman into a fighting game:
First up are projectile combos.
Isn’t Mega-Man civilian name Rock. At lest sometimes?
Roll was in MVC 1 as well, with the original version of her theme. Besides that, another great video
The Power Fighters: Am I a joke to you?
Thorgi: Yes.
But love you video and can't thank you enough cause ever sense you started built the roster this is what i have been dreaming of
Congrats on the Sponsors Aaron. You got the final stage of the Content Creator cred now.
I’m so glad to have confirmation that the megaman soccer game actually existed and I didn’t imagine it as a child
Not many plant-based mavericks but there is a robot master with plant in his name, not to mention the cool netnavi too.
Holy crap you went above and beyond with this video. Nicely done!
Dr. Like calls out his attacks with his MM8 voice acting.
Bruh that Dragalia thumbnail gonna make me cry
There is a Nintendo direct in a few hours I’d love to see something like this get announced there
57:12 "I just like big witch hats on characters"
To quote The Toad from Flushed Away, "Huzzah, a man of quality!"
How about Sonic the Fighters 2?
2022 has already been a big year for the Hedgehog between the second movie, Origins and Frontiers.
Take the Sonic Smackdown roster, but replace the OC with Honey.
Might just be me, but I am surprised Glyde.exe wasn't mentioned in retrospect. Given its one of the navis of a supporting character.
They also make great DLC
Great picks all around, but I must say you missed the opportunity to use the warning messages for the “here comes a new challenger”
