9:17 Exactly the same part but it costs 12 bucks more lol Again, thanks for posting all this deductive work, it's an important part of repairing which is usually skipped by everyone else.

Quick low cost fix and cleared an old part from the stash, 40 16 mm holes is a big job. Sometimes it's cheaper to invest and upgrade before you start the job which could save you down time and repairs. Good to know the same parts are in similar machines. Cheers
Got myself one of those at the beginning of the year for some odd jobs, second hand for a few quid, got a few missing bits from makita and was a pleasure to see it working. Some anchoring and concrete blocks done since and has been an amazing machine 👌
Hello from USA! Love your videos! Wish we had someone like you over here, there is NO place to take broken tools anywhere close to here…much less find someone of your ability. Wish you the best!
If you are in a hurry but not want to burn out your machine the best way to cool it down is to run it in idle. You can check on the progress by feeling the exit air. This you can also do while working to find out when it is time for some cooling.
Hardly a week goes by when a customer calls wanting something fixed ASAP. I do repairs in the order they come in, and am usually at least one week out. Good fix.
My Dear Brother Dean...this for you May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. 🇨🇮👍☘️
Have an HR2470 myself very similar drill. Well made sds drill but you need to know its limits. 16mil holes in concrete mine does just fine just takes some time and you cant push the drill too hard I guess he was drilling them all at once not letting the drill cool down and bogging the motor down too much when drilling.
The type of 240v plug shown here goes into a standard mains socket but on many work sites these won't be allowed and you'll have to plug into a 110v transformer instead (these transformers are specifically designed for site conditions and help to greatly reduce the risk of anyone getting a fatal electric shock)
Would it help to let the machine free spin after like 20 drilled holes to cool it down? Or do you have to just let it cool down by not using it? Maybe free spinning it without a load would let the fan inside cool it enough to continue working...
You know what I'm thinking? It almost be worth getting two of the same tools so if you had to do 60 holes you can do 30 with one tool switch over to the other well the first one cools down that way you don't burn up the motor on either one and if one did go down you'd at least have the one extra so you didn't have to go out and buy a brand new one again and I pick up older tools especially the ones Made In The USA and try to fix them.
That's what I recommend to a lot of customers who do jobs like drylining, Wall chasing, cavity pumping. Anyone who's using the same tool for long hours and find they keep burning machines out. Buy 2 like you say, and rotate them. High initial cost, but saves them a fortune in the long run.
@@deandohertygreaser you bless my heart that you care about your customers and seek to save the money and help them keep working because there's a lot of people out of work I am one of them and I do the same for people as much as I can in whatever way possible.
@@deandohertygreaser have you ever thought of doing the same, buying one or two of the modals you get most in, and just butcher the one you have in stock and re order the piece for your in stock one, saving time?
The customer took the risk, probably was drilling hole after hole like a maniac to finish the job quickly 😂 Im surprised If his drill bit lasted those 40 holes.
Fixed the same day, that is why the fella is a regular customer and always will be 👍🏻
Faxx!

No sale of a new machine today but he'll be back when he does need the new machine. Great service always pays.
Good on ya for taking care of a regular customer and good fella. That's the way to do business. Cheers!

Thanks again Dean!!!
I love your videos they are enjoyable
What's shocking is that Dean didn't say "that's her" when the machine was fixed 😮

Great machine's, as I Sparky I use them and am on my third one. Keep up the good work
Top job dean
Dean, do you buy parts from UK distributors? Is it cheaper than import from mainland europe?
Hi Dean, can you explain why there 2 different voltages in your country? We do only have 240V. Thanks. Keep the videos coming, love them.

Great video yet again Dean. Just wondering, do you ever do work on anything 2 stroke ? chainsaws etc.
After watching this I hope my Makita is going to hold out on Tuesday.
I've got 76 16 mm holes over to drill for Rawl bolts.

news to will i restore this old makita 9015D cordless SDS?
These tools should have temperature cut off switches to protect themselves.
👍👍👍
Has me thinking instead of getting a corded backup plus to get a max...lol
I got a makita hr 2600 for free but it doesn't have the hammer mode only. What parts i need from an hr2630 for have the hammer mode on the hr2600?
Is it there on the selector with drill and hammer drill ? Or not at all
5:19 what's name of that machine dean?

Better off buying bigger drill that is fit for drilling big holes
Por favor, ative as legendas. Obrigado

8:08 You're showing customer names and phone numbers! Don't do that.....
People destroy their SDS rotary hammer drill because they don't grease the tip of the drill before putting in the chuck. Too bloody lazy
